I forgot to take my pill one day, but I was only late by about 14 hours. I've been spotting for over 48 hours now and it's really annoying. The weird thing for me is that when it's time to take the placebo pills, it usually takes about 2 days to get my period, not 14 hours. (I've been on it for almost a year now) Is this normal? If this has happened to anyone else, how long will it take to go away?? (I'm not having sex so I'm not worried about getting pregnant, I just want to know when this will be over)
Thanks!

As long as you don't miss two days in a row- you should have any issues. Most medications aren't flushed out of your body in 24 hours; especially if you've been on the same medication for several months. Some spotting can be normal when on the pill- your doctor should have explained this. Spotting for 2 days doesn't seem strange either. The period pills, or placebo pills, allow your natural cycle to occur. Again, taking two days for this to occur doesn't seem abnormal. If the spotting doesn't go away with the next day- I would recommend going to your doctor. [ fixer44's advice column | Ask fixer44 A Question ]
