Sorry this is very long, but this is the first time im talking about it my whole life. I love my family, and i love my sister. I always have. Shes going to college in a month, and im going to be a sophomore in high school, but ive noticed that i feel like everything i do, she does better. It has been this way for a long time.
When i was little, i was really into dance. I wanted to take a dance class. My sister, Jenny, was never really into dance. Once I started to get good, Jenny joined the class, and became #1. It was frustrating that she just decided to do it because i was getting recognized, and she worked her ass off to become better. I quit after the recital, and she quit the next year.
After dance, i got into soccer. I was on the team from 1st grade to 5th grade. Jenny then decided to do soccer, and then always had my dad, who was the assistant coach on MY team, go to her games. He would miss half my practices just to see my sisters game. Eventually, he quit being assistant coach. At 5th grade, the team fell apart. My sister quit soccer that year. Coaches always tried to get her to be on their teams though. It was frustrating.
Then i started to run. It was a good way to stay in shape, and blow off steam. It was relaxing and made me feel great. I started in like 6th grade. I was set on joining the track and cross country team the next year. Jenny joined the track team as her freshman year in high school, as soon as i started running. She became the "track star" and was invited to states and nationals and everything, but never went. It was so frustrating that she would only join because i was. She would never admit it, even though she hated running, adn would always complain about it. She quit her senior year of high school, btu im still running. People always ask me if MY SISTER got me into running. I politely say, no we got into it at the same time, but its still so annoying.
I love animals. I always have, and i was the one to convince my parents to get a dog. Jenny always HATED pets and dogs. They hated her too. It was just horrible to have her in the same room with my puppy. When we started to get older, and she turned like 16, she would brag to guys and parents about how SHE took care of the pets and SHE loved them. I WAS THE ONE WHO FED THEM AND WALKED THEM AND BRUSHED THEM AND WASHED THEM AND CHANGED THEIR WATER OR CAGE SHEDDING AND TOOK CARE OF THEM. She only had 2 fish, and killed them both within a week. I took care of 2 dogs, 3 cats, a hamster, and they all lived long healthy lives. It made me want to hit something.
Ever since i was 5, i LOVED kids and babies. I could relate to them, and animals, more than i could with adults and people my age. It is still that way. I want 3 kids, and i want to be an elementary school teacher. Everyone knows i want to do that. Jenny always wanted to make a lot of money, and be a lawyer. She applied for her colleges, and got into the one she wanted. She decided she was going to go into Pre-Law. She already knew she was going to do that. YESTERDAY, a month before she goes to college, she decides she wants to study EDUCATION. WTF?! She doesnt want kids, she doesnt want pets. She hates children, and babies, and tries to avoid them. She says, "I only like people 18 and older". I DONT UNDERSTAND. Shes deciding to start next semester though.
Honestly, I need your help. Am i just jealous or does she REALLY seem to do this just to get on my nerves? Its like she wants to take everything i like and be better at it, adn once i stop, so does she. I know im jealous, but i cant help it. I have never told anyone any of this, so it is kinda a rant. I thank you all for reading this, i know its very long. And if she is doing it to bother me, i want to talk to her about it. We have always been pretty close, and i dont want to hurt her, or our friendship. so What would i say? and how do i put it nicely. THANKYOU ALL (link)

I think your being an insperation to your sister in stead of her being an insperation to you. or shes just jealous of you and wants to be better at everything you do because she wants to make herself look better so shes using your sports against her. But I'd go with option one

I was thinking about asking to be put on birth control to gain weight? Is that a good idea?

my hair is naturally straight but if i don't blowdry it and leave it in a bun its wavy/curly but only for a little bit. how can i get it to stay that way? please don't just say hair spray, be specific with what kind and when to spray it and how and stuff thanks alott (link)

you can use hairspray but that wont work unless you moose your hair first so moose it then hair spray it but after you put the mosse in scrunch ur hair then hair spray

Ok so basically my sister gets everything that she wants...
Actually what happens is that evertime I finally get something I've been wanting forever, she suddenly thinks she should get it, too.
For instance, whenever I'm going out with friends or they're coming over, she always has to go out with her friends, too.
Or how I had to wait until 8th grade to wear makeup, and finally when my mom let me, my sister asked if she could wear makeup too (she's in 6th grade) and my mom said it was fine and she could use MY new makeup.
Also, she recently got grounded for a month (at least), and mom and dad STILL let her go over other people's houses, or her friend's coming over here, and go out shopping and go on the computer and stuff.
And just now (which really blew it) I had to wait until my 14th birthday to get a cellphone, right? And I've been asking for one for a long time. So I just recently upgraded my old phone, and now my sister gets to have my old phone! And she's only 12! She's sharing my bill of unlimited text and internet...
It's just all very frustrating. I work up the right to do things, and just when I get the privilege, she suddenly thinks she deserves it, too.
So I really need help on what to do and say. I've talked to it about my parents a lot but my dad always has excuses (ex. but this new phone won't cost anything, and it has to go somewhere) and my mom is just stuck on the idea that we get everything equally.
Also, I'd really appreciate if people didn't say things like "You're a spoiled little brat" or "She deserves that stuff, too" because I'd really rather not be yelled at about it anymore. And I also don't need the whole "She admires you by coping you" thing because that won't help at all.
Other than that any ideas will be appreciated.

My sister gets everything too but im younger. Im always grounded and she is too but she gets off the hook everytime. Just try talking to your parents again and tell them how you really feel about it.

hey okay im just wondering what peoples opinions on this are; im 14 and my mom tells me to tell her when i have sex but she says that i have to wait till im 17. what if i were to have sex at 15 of something like before 17, should i tell her and she would get mad or should i not tell her and keep it from her? and like if i didnt tell her how would i get birth control? Just have sex. You dont need a parent to get birth control. Just make sure to use a condom.

I had this book awhile ago that I actually can't find anywhere now! So I was thinking a new copy of it, the only issue is, I can't find it online...and that would be the cheapest way for me to buy another copy.
I don't remember the exact title, but I know it's something like "40 Days to Better Writing"... there are little steps inside of it to do everyday. For example, one was to write about a childhood memory, and another was to write to "Your Watcher" [it explains what a Watcher is in the book]... I'm just trying to ring a bell to anyone who has or may have seen the book I'm talking about.

HELP!
OK so in French class last week I got a detention! I've never had a detention in my entire life! My teacher assigned it to me for this Wednesday! And the most annoying part is that the reason I got detention was because I missed three homeworks. THREE! And not even in a row, either! Over a period of time!! So now my BITCH of a teacher gave me detention (Just to say, she gives them out like candy. She gave one of my best friends an afterschool detention because she was chewing gum). So I don't know what to tell my parents. I know they're going to be really mad at me. Once I got a D and a C on my PROGRESS report (for those who don't know, it's like a report card in the middle of the quarter. It's just to check up on grades), and my dad threw a tantrum and took my phone away and grounded me for a week. My mom probably won't be as mad, but still. And I really don't want to lie because they'll get even more mad at me.
Ok I know I sound like a goody-goody and whatever, but I'm really not, it's just I've never had a detention, and I'm just afraid of my parent's reaction.

my history class is participating in the national history day 2009. my topic is Gordon Parks. He was the first african american photographer for several famous magazines, he wrote several books, he was the first african american director of a hollywood movie, he directed ballets, music, ect. what could i do for a design scheme for my backboard? it has to be two display boards, one on top of the other. im going to be primarily focusing on his photographic and film career, so how could i decorate my board around that? i can also put objects/decorate infront of the board to give it a more 3-d aspect. all ideas are greatly appreciated, thanks so much! Well you can decorate it the way you would like it or you can even cut some words or clips out of his magizenes and cover the background with artcles out of a magizene like the whole backborad shopuld me covered with articles none of the background shall be showing then u can put everything your putting on the board on top of the articles so the space thats showing will have an article showing not a blank sopt

Our daughter is getting to try out for high school cheerleader. she goes to an extremely small school 13 girls our trying out for 10 slots
she has the smile, the motions, and jumps
her problem is she cannot run and connect her tumbling. she can start from a cart wheel and connect to a back hand spring. and go into a roundoff back handspring two.

is that a big problem if she is not going from a running start but going from a stand still cartwheel and r/off backhandsping roundoff two (link)

it kinda depends on the coach. if the coach hates the way she does it then she wont be on the team. If she does like the way she does it she be on the team

well im a freshman and i tried out for football and basketball cheerleading but didnt make it.....we arent required to do any tumbling or anything but everyone says u need to know the coach! she is a history teacher and i dont have her so what can i do....u can not understand how much i want this i actually going to dance class that i have been doing for over 10 years HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please i really want to make it!!!!! im in 4-H, and its a really neat thing to do. But my best friend in 4-H, me, and two other guys and my sister want to hangout as a group. theres ages of 16,15,14,12(almost 13) 3 girls, and a guy, maybe two guys going. And we want to hangout...but we dont know what to do! We get kinda bored of bowling and movies...laser quest might be too expensive, any ideas? And my one friend cant ice or roller skate..so think of some FUN stuff for us to do! We're all pretty close, so...we need something fun to do! (and not too expensive please) thanks =D (link)

My boyfriend is a nice guy and can be quite funny at times, but he's so antisocial around other people. When I'm with him it's not as bad because he makes some sort of conversation, but when there are other people he's just so reserved. And I know he does it out of fear and I want to help him because I care about him. But at the same time sometimes I get so confused because I feel like this is the way he is and that I can never be who he needs. When we first started dating I didn't know that he was this way but as we started seeing eachother more often it's become clearer. We talked about it and he says he wants to change and be more open, but I just don't know anymore and I don't want to tell him. I can't tell him that I feel this way because it'll tear him apart for sure. I just don't know. Any advice is appreciated, thanks. (link)

Ok so my friend (A) has been my best friend since like 3rd grade but this year she made friends with this new girl (B) A doesn't know it but B has been talking about me behind my back and has been pulling me away from A. A thinks she is the best person ever and they hang out everyday. That used to be me. I miss hanging out with A and we used to have sleepovers and stay up late. We have wayy too many good memories to blow it now but today when we planned for her to come over I asked her about it and she said she was going to B's house. She was supposed to come away with me this weekend to a cheer competition and she said no because she was going to hang out with B. I was crying earlier. A lot of my friends have been doing that and I thought she was different. She is always the one who is nicest and cares the most. Can you help me with what I should do to try to get her to come over and stuff more often and how I should handle it??? Any advice is greatly appreciated. (link)

I know this sounds silly, but I got my hair cut a little while ago and I hate it. It's too short. And I tried to fix my bangs and I hate it. It doesn't look bad, I just hate how it looks. I want to just pin my bangs back, but they are angled, so not all of them stay up, so I was wondering if anyone knew any sites that have hair styles ideas I could try? I don't want cuts, I just want styles like pinning parts of it up or special ponytails or something. Pictures would be nice, but aren't necessary.

So this whole school year I've liked this guy. I've been taking time to build a realllly strong relationship with him( that's why I haven't told him yet) and I thoughtbhe liked me, friends told me he liked me too.
But Wednesday he asked another girl out. Their personalities don't click, try have maybe 1 class togther, and they rarely talk. I've been really depressed the last two days ( crying all night) because I was about to tell him.
I was thinking he wouldn't ask her because they're complete opposites! (were in 8th grade btw) They shouldn't last log (especially until prom, 2 months away) I think this because they have barely any relationship at all and long lasting couples have had long and good relationships right?
How do I cope with this? And what are some signs if someone likes you?
(if I got it wrong I just put me in a bad spot; I definately thought he was leading me on.)
