Smile with teeth, and your eyes. have attitude and dont hold back at all.
hit your motions sharply, not fluidly like dancing. Make sure the right part of you're fist shows with each motion- high v for example, the big part of your thumb and index finger shows, you can see your arms out of the corners of your eyes, placed slightly in front, and keep your elbows locked all the time. Make sure your wrists arent bent, make sure your thumbs arent sticking out, they reach toward your ring fingers. This fist should be tight. Keep these in mind for every motion in the dance and cheer portion. Your arms should hurt because your being so tight but keep them in control. Every motion is slightly in front of you, except for touchdowns and the vertical arm of right L's and collegiants, which are by your ears. Dont tilt your head while doing the motions, and keep your legs shoulder width apart. Yell loud and clear, by annunciating, your consonants must stand out so people can understand you. Try to sound like everyone else- if everybodys voice goes up or down on a particular word, follow that. Never stop or freeze up, recover fast if you mess up. Practice ridiculously hard in front of a mirror until you get everything. Strech to be real flexible if u arent already, go to some of your schools games, and dont give up. Skill ultimately gets people in, not connections. [ AskAndy's advice column | Ask AskAndy A Question ]
