colleges

Question Posted Wednesday February 25 2009, 10:30 pm

i'm in 8th grade, and i'm going into highschool next year.
i know it probably seems kinda early to start thinking about college. but i know you have to have certain requirements for certain schools, and it would be a good idea if i started preparing now.
i know i want to study something with maybe advertising, or video editing, or graphic designing.
what would be some good college choices to look into?
even ivy league ones?

That's great that you know what you want to do so early! Well to answer this question you have to consider about what your preference is and what you want to get out of college. Big university or small collge? Location: Far away from home or close by. Cost: usually private schools and tech schools are expensive. CC and state schools are the cheapest. In my area Devry or ITT Tech are good colleges for graphic designing. I haven't heard of any ivy league schools for that particular major. Usually ivy league schools are for prestigious majors like premed and law. I hope I helped.
Good Luck ^_^

The absolute BEST choice of college you could attend would be one through the AI schools. (Art Institutes). They usually have one in every state. Their tuition is 40,000 thousand a year (very expensive), but a lot of great artists/video editors/photographers/cooks etc have went there.

I, on the other hand am planning on attending CCAD (Columbus College of Art and Design)in Columbus, Ohio. I hear it's a pretty good one, and the tuition is only 11,000 a year.

It really depends on where you live as to what options you have.
