I decided to "spring clean" my laptop, after having it for almost a year. Just to speed it up a bit and such.
I can't afford to take it to get it serviced by a computer place, so I'd rather do it myself.
What kind of things should I be doing?
I know clearing out old files, deleting things I don't use and such. But are the any other things I definitely should do to speed it up a bit again and so on?
I don't need tips for external cleaning, I've got that covered.

defrag your computer. this will make it run faster or go to pcpitstop.com and take one of their free tests. they will tell you hidden errors in your computer that if you fix (they have forum boards for this), will make it run smoother and faster

hey can you put songs that you burned onto your computer from cds onto a ipod? like you can on a mp3 player (link)

i think this if what you mean...if you burn a CD from another computer or even the same computer you can IMPORT the songs into itunes, no cost and then put them on your ipod from your itunes library. if they have been on your computer already and don't have the cd you may have to open them in itunes which you can usually do if you right click on the mp3 file.

So this is probably going to be really long sorry! So in 8th grade I moved schools and I became really close friends with this guy(Let's call him S) So S and I got really close and he pretty much told me everything. I started to like him and for a while it seemed like he liked me too because he broke up with his girlfriend and called me and asked me what I thought about that and showed me what he wrote to her and stuff and if you know him you'd know he has trust issues and stuff. So then after a while one of his immediate family members died and he was crushed. It was like he didn't want to live anymore but he leaned on me for support and I tried to help him through it. Afterwards we got really close and I felt like he was in love with me now. Like it was serious. Unfortunately the death affected him so much and he hated everyone in our school knowing so he moved to a public school and he changed a lot while he was there. He started blanking my calls and prank calling me. He wouldn't answer some of messages but when he was in a good mood we'd talk for four or five hours online or on the phone. I just noticed he didn't lean on me as much and he got really PROUD. Like his attitude was like that saying "My attitude is fuck it cause mafuckers love it." We tried to meet up once but he ended up standing me up and he didn't even tell me why he wasn't there and didn't apologize. He only said he was sorry when we talked about it after a while. Half a year after he moved I moved to another country and so we could only talk on weekends and through comments and stuff cuz of the time difference. At first he was saying stuff like "wow I really miss you. I can't imagine my life without you" but then the comments got shorted and less frequent and I noticed he'd read my messages but wouldn't reply. Every time I confronted him about the weakening of our relationship he'd make it seem like I was over reacting. So this summer I went back and when it was just me and him he acted like I was someone he was meeting for the first time. We didn't joke around and every time we hung out he tried to invite his friends over so we weren't alone. He just acted like I wasn't apart of his life anymore. I've tried to get over him but I'm in 11th grade now and I still can't get over him. every time I think about him I just cry and I listen to "our song" every night before I go to sleep. I actually CAN'T fall asleep if I don't listen to it. I tried deleting him and I've managed to stop talking to him but I still read all his status' and miss him so much. I feel so incomplete and I'm now suffering from depression that I'm trying to deal with. What should I do. I can't talk to him because I KNOW what he'd do cuz I tried (wrote a LONG letter to him about EVERYTHING and he never replyed) and he'll just ignore it. What should I do. How do I get him back? I'm not afraid to say I am DESPERATELY missing him and COMPLETELY TOTALLY NO GOING BACK In love with him and dedicated to him. He's not an asshole, he's just never going to get over that death in his family and he's just trying to forget about it and he's hanging around with all these arrogant stupid people in public school and he tells me he doesn't even like them and that they annoy him. He's going to a REALLY GHETTO public school where people get fucked up and shit and he's really good at Karate and shit. HELP I feel like I can't function without just being friends with him... I don't even want to be his gf I just want my bestfriend back. :( (link)

Well it seems like he is embarrassed of the times he confided in you and he also doesn't want to think about them because he relates them all with the time of death. He's cocky because he doesn't want to break down again like he did before and he wants you to think of him as a stronger man. When you don't see someone for a long time who you haven't had contact with he might act like he doesn't even know you. He has those good/bad memories of his head associated with you but he doesn't know how to bring them out. You need to cut him out of your life. You need to completely cut him out of your life and when you see him again act like nothing ever happened just completely ignore him and maybe just maybe he'll realize what a great friend you were and how much he wants to have those discussions with you and maybe he'll talk to you again. But you honestly need to move on and forget about it because one day when he is mature enough you can subtly bring up when you were such great friends and maybe he'll talk again.

so here's my situation..
a few months ago my mom switched me to a go phone plan, because i ran up a really high bill.
her and my dad are still on a regular phone plan, and they each have an upgrade option, and said that i can use it for christmas, because they're both perfectly fine with the phones they have currently.
the phone i want is the samsung jack..but it's a smartphone..and me and my parents are sure that with my go phone sim card and everything, that it would work with the smart phone. all i really care about is texting and calling..i could care less about getting on the internet with it, i can do that on the computer.
so, if i got the samsung jack smart phone, would i still be able to text and call? or would it not work?

If you're talking about AT&T I'm pretty sure smartphones take a sim card. I have the Blackjack 2 and it takes a sim card and it goes on the internet etc. so it must be a smartphone. Anyway call AT&T their plans are iffy. I'm not sure how AT&T's go phones work and switching over to a real phone and not the go phone that you receive. Just call AT&T. They don't care when you trade phones with your parents.

Don't click on it. Chances are it's a popup and it will lead you to a fake site and possibly give you a virus.
Make sure you have
1. put your popup blocker on when you can
2. latest virus protection
3. maybe stop on by to pcpitstop.com you can run a free test to see what is up with your PC when it is being slow. It has forum boards and stuff you can download to make your PC run faster
4. Got any old games on your computer that you don't play? DELETE THEM it takes up way to much space and can slow down your computer.
5. check your internet connection/restart your internet connection. Sometimes on the modems (or whatever you have) there is a reset button or off button. If there's an off button press it. Wait 10 seconds or so then turn it back on. this sometimes works for me.

Well the title says all. My two hamsters are fighting. Alot. It saddens me to the death to see the marks they put on one another. They have been together for life. YOU MUST SEPARATE THEM. This happened to my 2 hamsters years ago and one ended up having a limp leg because the other bit it. Then we would go to play with the one with the limp leg and he would bite us! So please separate them! Also they can hurt each others eyes if they scratch each other's faces.

Act confident. Joke around. Pretend you're interested in their lives even if you aren't. If they're wearing something comment on it. Just start conversation. Ask about school projects/homework but then make a joke about the teacher. Ask them why they are taking the class etc.

Sometimes i feel like i want a girlfriend sometimes i don't care. Is it normal?
Also why can't i find someone? I think im ok looking or just below that. Im not fat im 140lbs and im very athletic and i lift weights im also tall. I haven't done anything with a girl and im shy like really shy. What could i do? I don't really talk to girls, not even my friends that are girls i just txt them. I've had one girlfriend and it lasted a week and it was this year in September.

Invite a girl/girls out to lunch/dinner/bowling/movie at your house/hang in your town with some of her friends and some of your friends. You'll be able to open up easier to the girls without feeling pressured and your friends will be there to back you up. Afterwards texts the girls a little bit (it shows that you're interested) just like casual "hey BLANK was really fun today we should do it again" or "hey what are you doing next..." set up plans. If you become friends with girls it'll be easier to talk to girls you really have feelings for and then you can go and date them. But don't rush it you're young.

i've heard splat works pretty well but you have to do it correctly or you could end up accidently bleaching your hair. I think they sell it at wallgreens or walmart.
Um go to hot topic if you want some temp. hair color. I personally used loreal one year to do pink streaks in my hair and it worked out great! I don't think they have purple or blue tho.

i've spent my entire adolescence looking for an easy and good way of removing hair.. like under your arms mainly! i use an epilator for my legs, you think thats good?
i do use the epilator under my arms, but im just so sick and tired of the time i need to spend doing it because it doesnt pluck out all the hair at once, and this sometimes causes me to bleed, and my under arms are all dark now and scar-y! like i got some scars and pink bumps and that sort!
so i was thinking of starting to shave my under arms! what do you think? do you think it will help me? like it wont take so much time, and i'll end up with nice hairless under arms like the celebs?
and if you think shaving is a good idea for me, can u recommend me a brand? nair? veet? ok, i don't know much about them, so LOADS of help would be great!

Sounds like you have very sensitive skin. I've only used nair on my legs and bikini area. It works fabulous on my bikini line but irritated my legs to a point where they burned. Personally I shave with a standard razor under my arms and I get those bumps your talking about but only with a fresh sharp razor. I use Bic Soleil Citron shavers. They smell nice and leave my underarms smooth. If u looking for hair remover try nair but test a small amount on your leg hair first just to make sure you don't react badly to it. Or find hair removers for sensitive skin.

i said i went to my friend megan's house but really i would be hanging out with my boyfriend
or say you're going to your friends house, have her invite over some of your boyfriends guy friends and then just hang out there and then you can see each other.
set up a study "date" sorta and just hang out try to study but talk a lot.
meet in the hallways a lot just one on one or have a special meeting spot after school. tell him, meet me in the back parking lot then hang out there and maybe just maybe you'll have your first kiss! make things awkward and silent than maybe he'll go in for the kiss or go for it yourself
get it over with and if he really is a good boyfriend, if it really was THAT bad he'll want to improve it! :] and that will bring you guys even closer.

I sing, and write my own songs, and they're kind of similar to evanscence songs, but anyways a lot of people say I'm really good at singing, and I can sing low and high (really good) and I'm interested in starting a band. See what music teachers or music learning facilities are in your area. Most of the teachers would be glad to pass flyers to their students. The music learning facilities usually have bulletin boards that are dying for singers like you!
Ask around at school. Most of my friends play an instruments. Some I didn't even know about! Ask kids in the band if your school has a band. Sure they might play the trumpet but you'd be suprised that they play the guitar too. I play piano and guitar and most of my friends don't even know that. So ask around!

oh gosh you are the perfect weight and judging by your description you are probably pretty too!
As for getting guys, start small conversation. Joke around with them call them names, touch them in class (like a nudge or two), smile at them, get their phone numbers, ask to hang out, make plans, #1 be outgoing!
as for knowing if you are dorky or dress weird just look what people are wearing now-a-days. If you are wearing similar styles (doesn't have to be the same brand) you're probably fine. REMEBER THOUGH: everyone has their own style. You're probably not dorky, talk to guys and see how they react. Flirt a little and be outgoing
