I think I'm a lesbian and I'm not too sure of how I should break it to my family and friends. Lets be honest I'm petrified. Not too worried about my family but my friends I'm very scared about telling, considering most of them are girls and will probably be scared away from me. Can someone please give me some advice on how I should break the news without all my friends running a mile. I need to get it out soon or I think I might just die with worry. (link)

If they are good friends, they will not care. I am a 16 year old female as well and I have many friends that are lesbian, I don't feel any different of them as a friend. If you don't feel comfortable telling everyone, just confide in the people closest to you for now and see how that goes. Soon enough you will get more comfortable with it.

Im using an anti-scaring gel called 'Dermatix' for scars i have on my arms.
I've been using it for weeks but I havent had any results, the scars arent really fading at all.

I know that scarring can be frustrating/ I have used "Mederma" and it definitely worked for me. I recommend you try that. I had sex with my boyfriend on saturday. He has really long and gross pubic hair. Anyway, on sunday I got my period and when I pulled out my tampon, I had one of his pubic hairs on it. ok, so this girl has the new 2.0 profile on myspace. her main page is public, but her comments, pictures, everything else are set to private. i was able to access her pictures, except that the pictures that are on there aren't the same as her display pic and other pictures that i KNOW she has. so when i go to see her pictures, am i being like reverted back to a previous date or something? i can view her comments, and they're present, so why aren't the pictures? is there a way to see the ones she has on there now? The picture that is her display must just be under a private album, and the ones that you are able to see are public. The only way you can see them if she changes them to "friends only" view, instead of "me only" view. You could always ask her.

Okay so I have the initials of my ex boyfriend tattooed on my wrist (RS) and well he is my ex so no longer. I really like the tattoo though and don't want to cover it up anytime soon. I know I will never forget what it really means, but I was wondering if anyone knew of words or a phrase with the letters "R" and "S" that I could tell people it means. Gravity exists for everything on Earth. Ants and a lot of other insects have "arolia" in between their claws. Arolia are little pads that enable them to stick to some surfaces.. Kind of like suction cups.

I have liked this guy for awhile now. He was in a relationship with another girl, but she broke up with him yesterday, and he talks to me about how he is so sad, and that he wants to talk to her. This is the time and point where you should be there for him as a friend. It will get you two closer and he will see how caring & supportive you are. You should give him some time without trying to start anything, until he is ready. You would not want to be a rebound but hopefully in time something can spark between you two. Just have some patience and don't try to rush him.

I understand you frustrations. But I would not recommend birth control. Sure, it will help with periods (although it is known to cause abnormal bleeding,) but it is not healthy and I've known people to get bad side-effects from birth control. One person I am close to had taken it for quite a while. Then she started getting such bad dizziness spells when she was up and just walking around, she started getting scared that she would fall over. During the end of her being on the pill (before she stopped taking it completely) she almost fell into a depression because it was messing with her hormones so much. She is so much happier now without it; I've noticed a big change.
More natural ways to get through bad periods exist though. Being active and getting some exercise helps with the cramping, as does drinking a lot of water. You can also use a heating pad on your tummy or take a hot bath.
I would recommend not taking Aleve/Naproxen/Advil/Ibuprofen while you are on your period because they cause your blood to thin which causes a heavier flow. If you use tampons, I do recommend wearing a pantyliner or pad along with that, in case of leakage.
Irregular periods are pretty common at this age, but if you have concerns or things just don't seem right, you can always go talk to your local doctor.

He might think that you are just being shy about it because of your polite answers. You saying "I don't *think* that is happening" fuels his hope. I understand that you are probably just trying to be nice, but with some guys you have to tell them straight up and seriously.
In my opinion, this guy sounds like a jerk. I am glad for you that you aren't exactly dating him because he does not seem very respectful of you, and you don't deserve that.
If you are feeling uncomfortable, I recommend staying away from this guy. I wouldn't want you to get put in a bad situation with him.

It is most normal that you think about these things, especially at this age. This does not mean you have to do the things you dream about anytime soon, until you are ready.
He probably has has similar dreams and thoughts, and if you think it is possible to talk about it together without that leading to anything, go for it. There are some things people like to keep to themselves though, for the time being. If it makes you uncomfortable, you do not need to share.

To answer your question, at this point this isn't fair to either of you really. It looks like he has been gaining feelings for you, and you don't want that nor do you feel the same way. I think you should talk to him about this, and let him know how you honestly feel.

Okay so 15 f. Ive had my period since I was 12. Its always been really red except for the really heavy blood clots which were like a dark maroon. Well a few days I got my period for a day and it was pretty light but more brown then red. Then after the day it went away for almost a week. Then today it came back and its really weird. Its like really dark brown basically black and instead of being a liquidy consistency its like pastyish and looks grittyish and then a really beige wetness. I'm not sexually active, so I'm confused. Usually when your period starts off, the new blood is red, then your period starts getting lighter in flow, and then brownish at the end. Brown blood is just old blood, which is normal.
That just sounds like a menstrual irregularity which is quite common. To make sure there is no serious problem, you should talk to your local doctor.

I usually buy softlips products from my local Wal-Mart. Softlips are normally in the lip-care section or even on the stands by the check-out line. They are usually a little more expensive at Target but I have found they have more variety there. You can also find them at drugstores such as CVS/Walgreens.

I know that some guys would not mind it, but then again, many would. It is best to let the guy know. If you are wearing a tampon it probably would not be very comfortable for you either.
My advice would be, if the guy shows signs of wanting to head down there, let him know that it is "that time of the month."
If you are fine with it, you could always put that out there too. It is possibly that he wouldn't care about a bit of blood. Communication is key.

Ok.. I have this weird kind of puffiness under my eyes and I don't know what to do to get rid of it.. I've tried a lot of things but none of them work.. It kind of always looks like I didn't get enough sleep even though I do.. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.. thanks :) (link)

Make sure that you do get enough sleep and stay hydrated. Another couple of nice things you can do for that is with tea bags and cucumbers.
If you have chamomile tea bags: boil, brew, and make your tea. Then squeeze the tea bag a bit so that the water is not dripping and let it cool. Place the bag over the puffy area and keep it there for a while. Then continue with the other eye. Chamomile has anti-inflammitory properties that help with puffiness.
If you have cucumbers: wash one. Then, cut up some slices. Place two over your eyes. Lying down for this is probably easiest. Cucumbers cool and soothe which also helps with puffy eyes.
You can also try some deep breathing during these things or any other time you can. That helps with lymph flow.

It is very normal to set expectations for your future love. Otherwise you would not know what you want and could get packed into a relationship that you don't deserve. Respect yourself and be careful when giving someone the power to hurt you. Try to use good judgement.

Your hymen ("cherry") could have already tore ("popped"), from active sports or even tampons, and you might not even have realized it.
It is different for everyone. You might bleed when you have sex or you might not.
If you are comfortable with your future partner, it shouldn't be very awkward. If it does occur it would not exactly be a flood of blood either, so you don't have to worry too much about that.
