Samcia answered Monday March 2 2009, 12:14 pm: I know that some guys would not mind it, but then again, many would. It is best to let the guy know. If you are wearing a tampon it probably would not be very comfortable for you either.
My advice would be, if the guy shows signs of wanting to head down there, let him know that it is "that time of the month."
If you are fine with it, you could always put that out there too. It is possibly that he wouldn't care about a bit of blood. Communication is key. [ Samcia's advice column | Ask Samcia A Question ]

Although, you might happen to find one who wouldn't mind. In either case, I most certainly would not leave this up for a surprise. Letting him find out for himself would create a much more awkward moment than simply telling him. I would inform him out of curteousy. You can be as blunt about it as you want, or you could just say something suttle; for example, "It's really not the best time right now - perhaps a week from now would be a more suitable TIME for me..". Combine that with your tone of voice and eye contact, and that ought to send the message. [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
