So me and my friends were smoking paper (yeah i know its retarded) And I know it cant get you high (unless you stuff it with weed or have smoke newspaper which has ink) but I was wondering if there are any effects. You do inhale a ton of smoke and burn the heck out of your throat. Just wondering. I'll rate you for anything unless its under the lines of "Omg you shouldn't do that!" thanks. (link)

Inhaling smoke isn't good for the lining of your throat or your lungs... although it doesn't have some of the other effects of smoking (such as addiction or filling your lungs with tar present when you smoke cigarettes)

Right, so, hypothetical situation here:
Say you saw that you did pretty badly on a test when your teacher handed it back to you. The next day when you visit your online grade-checking program , you find out that mistakenly your teacher has given you a much higher grade for it than what you saw. You check with some other people in the class and find out that their grades posted online match the ones that appeared on their test papers. So, you assume that your teacher has made a mistake with yours.
Do you do the "right thing" and tell the teacher about his mistake, or do you just leave it and be happy that life is for once unfair in your favor?

I'd do the right thing and tell your teacher. If your teacher finds out of his own accord he might be less pleased with you than if you'd told him in the first place.

Two programs that come to mind are GIMP and Fireworks - I think you can get GIMP free online but Fireworks costs a lot of money.

i use windows media player and all my music comes from cdzinc.com. now none of the music works and the site is different. does anyone know if the site is like down for good or if its being fixed or if there is another website like it? (link)

There was a question like this earlier. I don't know what's up with that site but a website like it that I've used in the past is http://emp3world.com - there may be some broken links but it's possible to find quite a lot of the music you're after on there.

I just started a new job last week. The store is brand new so everyone is on a 3 month probation. I've been working for a week and have always been on closing shifts.
Well tomorrow we are having a staff meeting for all the girls in our department. (the clothing department). I've never actually worked with my supervisor yet because she always leaves by the time my shifts starts.
The problem is I've been hearing from the other girls that she thinks I've been doing a lousy job. I'm trying the hardest I can. We have to deal with cutomers, make the clothing look tidy and do the cleaning. By the time I get home I'm exhausted.
The meeting is tomorrow. How should I act when my boss tells me what a horrible job I'm doing? I'm so stressed I'm thinking of quitting by then again I really need this job for the money.

You should try to remain calm. Explain to her how you've been trying your hardest and perhaps you should ask her in what way she thinks you're doing a "lousy job" and how you can correct it. That way you look eager to improve, which always goes over well. If she continues to think you;re doing a "lousy job" then I would suggest you quietly try to find another job.

ok, well every now and then i get these really really bad headaches, my eyes get very sensitive to light and even the slightest noise makes my head pound. Now iknow the cause of these headaches isnt from my vision, because ive had my eyes checked many times and i do wear glasses. What can be causing them? thanks 4 ur answers (link)

It could be an allergy to something, but the nature of it doesn't sound like it would be. It sounds very similar to a form of migraine that I get - I would advise that you go to a doctor about it just in case it's something out of the ordinary.

You could get him:
- A CD of one of his favourite bands
- A box of chocolates/sweets he likes
- Talk to him and ask him what sort of things he might want for Christmas then get him something from what he says
Ultimately it's your choice but I would talk to him about what he wants (start off by asking a question like "what are you hoping to get for Christmas?" then continue from there) then make a decision based on that. Good luck!

You could write about something that happened to your character that affects them at the time; for example, the anniversery of a relative's death, or a close friend who moved away elsewhere who the character's going to see again soon. Once you have the basic setting you should think about whether the outcome is positive, negative or indifferent. For example, in the close friend idea the meeting could turn out great and they have a good time, or it could turn out bad because the friend has changed or something like that.

Even if you don't want to do any taxing workouts you should try to make a point of walking somewhere and back every day - it may not show much at first but it does make a difference. If you walk to a gym, do some exercises, then walk back it would help you warm up and warm down. But don't try to make yourself thin in one day - getting into a routine will be much better in the long run and if you keep it up when you reach your target then it will keep you healthy and fit. You should also eat healthily too - having a healthy breakfast is one of the best ways to begin the day and the effects last for a while.

Ok, well I came home from school today and found my cat behind one of our landscaping trees, so I called his name, and he kind of looked up, but didn't come, which was REALLY unusual, so I knew something was wrong. Well, I took him inside, and kind of checked him out, to see if he was ok. I think I found what's wrong: in his right ear, I can see a little blood, and there's also a bit of dried blood below his ears on his fur. When I tried to touch it, he flinched, but when I touched his other ear, he was fine. So I'm pretty sure it's his ear. But he won't eat or move much at all. Right now, he's behind the rocking chair in the corner, not really moving. I'm scared, because I've had him for about 9 years, and I recently lost a dog who was only 7, and I can't bear to lose my other pet. I'm thinking he either got in a fight or got attacked by another animal. (he's an outdoor cat). My question is, does anyone know what's wrong with him? Is it really bad that he hurt his ear? I'm taking my dog to the vet tomorrow to get her sutures (sp?) removed, should I take my cat too? I tried calling both my parents, but they didn't answer. I'm really scared, what should I do? I know how you must feel about this. One of my cats (deceased now) used to be like that. He's been in a fight and is probably scared of being attacked again. Try to get him to eat by giving him his favourite treat amd give him a couple of days to recover. If he's still acting strange in a week or so then you should definitely take him to the vet.

When you see him looking at you smile back at him. Make a point of talking to him, flirt with him, find out what he likes and get him something as a Christmas present. That should give him an idication that you like him, even if not telling him outright.

well me and my friends have been friends since middle school. now they all see to have started leaving me out. not asking for plans. barally talkign to me in the halls, talkign to me like only if its convienent for them. even my best friend now has a boyfriend and she does not make time for me and i ask her all the time for plans but yet it seems as though she has plans for them. im so lonely. i recently stoped talkign to the kid i like. and we stoped hooking up, and i have no one. please dont say that i should go make other friends. cuz this is highschool, its not that easy. those are my friends. i just dont now what to do anymore. i hate sittin ghome and being alone. No offence, but they don't seem like the greatest of friends, although I've been in the same situation. Perhaps you should try to get together with all of them for a trip to the movies or something like that - try to repair your friendship with them before you drift too far apart. If they still don't seem interested then you should try to find other people (I know it's difficult but if your previous friends don't seem interested then it may be the only option)

ok my dad is always drunk. and when he is i always get mad at him and this time it got really bad he called me all these things that i no he didnt mean and it really made me hurt i love him to death we get along so good when hes not drunk and i no he didnt mean what he called me but it made me soo hurt i cant even explain and when i try talking to him when he is drunk so he wont remember. i love my dad !! please help !! Try to stay out of his way when he's drunk and when he's sober you should tell him how his drinking is affecting you and try to persuade him either not to drink or not to drink around you if he can help it.

As a guy, I notice girls more often when they talk to me. You should definitely try to talk to him more - if you're walking in the same way then talk to him, find out what sort of things he likes, then talk to him about them. If you make a point of talking to him when you can then he'll notice you more.

all my friends (that are girls) are prettier than me ! especially my bestfriend ! she is like perfecttt ! she has the perfect face, the perfect hair, she is a perfect cheerleader, and she has the perfect body
.. and me well im skinny so im not that big-chested .. and well my hair never comes out as good as hers and i have the worst smile.. like i got braces and my teeth are straight .. but their reallly big and my smile isnt a good smile.. ALL my friends have good smiles and are pretty and outgoing and the boys like them..
like i mean i dont think im UGLY .. but compared to them i feel like i am ..
i just need something to help me gain more self-confidence and stop me from being so self-conscious about the way i look and i want to be more outgoing like my friends

It's not wierd to be jealous - you will always find yourself being jealous of someone for something. All I can say is that being happy with yourself is the first step towards being more confident - don't let the fact that they're more pretty/outgoing/thinner/whatever than you make you feel inferior. There will be people who like you for who you are. Until you find them, just be yourself, be happy with who you are and what you're like and people will see you as a more confident person.

First question you should ask yourself is "Why are you keeping it a secret". Is either of you ashamed of it being out in the open? If so, then why? Is it because of what people would think? You should discus it with him before you do anything, but if I were you then I would let your best friends know - tell them that it's a secret if you want, but if they find out some other way then they might be offended and tell you that they don't want to be your friends because you didn't trust them with this.
Obviously, it's up to you, but don't do anything without asking your boyfriend first - doing the wrong thing could jeopordise your relationship with him, and you don't want that to happen. Good luck.

My parents are getting divorced because my mum is unhappy.
Anyway I found out that she was cheating on my dad.
I followed her one day down the end of my road where she got into a car with a guy, Mark. I know it was him because I heard her talking about him to her friends and I know its her old boyfirend.
She didnt come home that night.
I feel weird towards her.
I don't know what to do. My dad doesnt know. Should I tell him. I don't want to hurt either of my parents.
Will this affect the divorce porceedings?
