I found some websites that might be able to help you. I suggest taking a look at them - it couldn't hurt, right? :)

You could write about something that happened to your character that affects them at the time; for example, the anniversery of a relative's death, or a close friend who moved away elsewhere who the character's going to see again soon. Once you have the basic setting you should think about whether the outcome is positive, negative or indifferent. For example, in the close friend idea the meeting could turn out great and they have a good time, or it could turn out bad because the friend has changed or something like that.

Ideas:
- A girl who has been raped, you can get a grasp of how she is feeling and how she can never trust men again
- A guy who is being beaten up by his parents and how he feels threatened because his manlyness should be to defend himself but he's scared
- A boy/girl who is having suicidal thoughts and needs to escape from school, her family and her friends etc...

Good luck!

Hi there,

The easiest thing to write about is something that has actually happened to you as you know all the details already and don't have to think them up.

You don't have to tell everybody that it is a personal story unless you want to.

In my English exam we had to write a 2000 word story about a person that we admired and I wrote about a girl I used to know who was killed in a car accident and I got an A!

If you write from the heart and with conviction then you will almost definitely get a good grade!

you can try a topic that i recently used. my teacher thought it was really original...lol i dunno if he was just saying that but here it is...
its this girl and she really wants to take an acting class over the summer and be an actress, but her mom makes her work at burger king instead b.c. she doesnt want her daughter to be an actress...then this girl knocks herself out with a spatula (lol) and has this dream where shes an actress, but it takes forever to shoot one scene, and she doesn't like the whole papparazzi thing, and then she wakes up and was like O my gosh im so glad im not an actress...
i dunno if its a good idea or not it came out to 5 pages, 12 point times new roman double spaced, so there's an idea! hope i helped, good luck on your story! ♥
