but the same thing happened to my mom, your glasses are too strong, the lenses(sp?) are to thick for you ]
It could be an allergy to something, but the nature of it doesn't sound like it would be. It sounds very similar to a form of migraine that I get - I would advise that you go to a doctor about it just in case it's something out of the ordinary.
Good luck! ]
This is not a regular headache.. it is a migraine. I know this because they make you sensitive to the light. You really need to see a doctor and he or she can prescribe you something.

Those are called migraines. I get them every once in a while myself. I've had them since I was four. If you can afford it, go to a neurologist and talk to him/her about it. I have prescription meds for them. When you get one, just lay down, take the usual, and stay in a dark room. Caffeine and sugar do occasionally do help, but if you have tendencies like myself, which are to vomit, not always the smartest move. There isn't a set cause, but caffeine addiction has proved to cause headaches in withdrawl. Best of luck with your migraines! ]
Ohh maybe its a migrane.. I get headaches when its close to my period so that could also be the case. And I wear glasses too! (Well not really, I stopped and my eyesight sucks lol) but when I would have a headache and then put the glasses on, I would feel so much better. ]
I had the same problem. I had all these headaches and we had no clue what caused them, but my eyes kept getting checked out - to no avail. The headaches are horribly painful - I used to want to scream but couldn't because it would make it hurt more!!
Eventually we realised I had migraines. When you have medication for them, they can be completely controlled. Sometimes migraines will have side-effects too - I feel sick and dizzy and my vision fades out with mine. If you have any other 'extra symptoms', mention these to your doctor if he diagnoses you with migraines.
They also tend to come in clusters, so you'll get a lot for maybe three months or even three years and then they'll disappear for a long time. ]
It sounds like you're having migraines. For immediate relief try one of the migraine headache medicines such as Excedrin Migraine. It should help with the pain. It's best to take it as soon as you feel one coming on.
If you can, take the medicine and lay down in a dark, quiet room when you feel the headache coming on.
Also, talk to your doctor. There are prescription medicines that will help prevent and treat migraines. ]
Those bad headaches are called migranes... ]
feel proud, as you are the last person i shall give advice to while in the united states.
these are migranes, check with your doctor, as he or she will have medication to deal with the little beasties.

Just a hunch... but have you had your teeth checked out? It took me 6 months to get to the dentist once, and I had really bad headaches. I was told I needed my wisdom teeth out. After I got them out, the headaches vanished. Just a thought. :)
Also, grinding your teeth can cause headaches. You might not even know you're doing it. Or you could be doing it in your sleep. That's the only thing I saw wasn't mentioned, everyone else had good ideas as well. ]
Stress? Sinuses? Lack of sleep? MSG? Migraines? I really couldn't tell ya for sure, since I am not a medical professional in any way. If you'd be interested, I found a couple of websites I can recommend:

In case you'd like some tips/support for coping with headaches, I LIVE with a constant headache!! I have MSG sensitivity, so that's what does me in. It NEVER EVER goes away!! This has been going on with me since the age of seven!! I get it from the foods I eat. Do you get headaches often? Daily? Medication for me doesn't ease the tension of my headaches anymore. I suppose one would say I'm "immune" to medicine? Anyhow, I suggest: Extra Strength Advil or Ibuprofen. But, you've probably already tried all of those treatments.
Also, if the possibility exists, I take a nap. Of course keep the room with dim light and zero sound. Speaking through past experiences.. the silence hurts more than noise sometimes, so maybe you might want to keep the radio on so very slightly, to the point where you can't even make out the words -- this helps me a TON!! Also, it's good to make shore your hair is completely down [flat on your head] - this is one less thing tugging on your skin, ya know?? Another thing, for many people, they meditate. It probably seems silly, but I've tried it before [with as many migraines as I get I'm willing to try ANYTHING!] Just sit calmly and take small slow breaths, while picturing a scribbled on chalk board. Pretend your headache is the white chalk scribbles, and picture yourself erasing away the headache. After saying that, I realize it DOES seem a tad bit odd and off the wall, but it's completely up to you whether the headache is bad enough for you to resort to that or not, but give it a chance; no one has to know. ;D And the most important thing to do (I think) is to apply *strong pressure to the spot that hurts the most, whether that be the temple, the side of your head, the top of your head, between your eyes or otherwise. I apply pressure and hold it down for about 30 seconds. After that, I notice an immediate difference.
But, that's just what works for me. If you notice your headaches becoming more severe and constant, perhaps a medical opinion wouldn't be a bad idea. :) ]
thats sounds like a migraine to me. Sorry i dont really kno what causes them... ]
Sounds like your getting migraines. They can be caused from stress, and pressures in your every day life amongst many other things. If they are occuring relatively frequently, though.. you should see a doctor and be put on some kind of prescription. ]
