I love to compete in beauty pageants. I am currently running for Miss Indiana, so be watching out for me! Doing pageants, I have also gotten started into the modeling business.

I have a passion for writing. Poetry, songs, short stories, etc. I have been writing poetry since I can remember, literally. My mom has a writing talent as well, so I assume I got it from her. I'd love to eventually write full time for a magazine.

my boyfriend and i live very far apart. a while back i introduced him to a friend. while i was in a group home, he cheated on me with her, and once when i got back. we have been off and on the past year. and before that we were together 3 years. i go on his myspace to make sure she don't leave him comments. and i leave him one. he had her on his top friends for a while, and finally took her off completely cuz i made him. im worried she is going to do something to mine and his relationship again. how can i get her to leave his and my relationship alone and get him to stay away from her.

The problem is not her...it's him. The fact that you remain talking to this guy after cheating on you twice is a little disturbing. He'll just do it again and again. HE is the one doing this to you. HE is the cheater and not worth your time. She's just the other woman. I'd leave him. He's obviously too immature to be in a mature relationship.

You need to go to the clinic and get emergency contraception aka Plan B or "the morning after pill." If you take it within 72 hours of having unprotected sex, it will reduce the chances of pregnancy greatly. It is usually around 30-50 dollars. I would suggest to do that asap! The sooner, the better! Trust me, you don't want to risk it.

Have you ever talked to your boyfriend about wanting to have safe sex? If not, you want to make it clear to him that you want to be safe and responsible about it. You need to make sure of those kinds things *before* you have sex.

And no, the tampon thing will not work.

I'm a teenage g i r l. There's a guy who I want to hook up with, and we planned it for next month. I want to do it really badly, as I'm not a christian so I can do whatever I want sexually. But the thing is: I just can't decide if the pleasure is worth the guilt I'll suffer from- if there IS going to be any guilt. I just don't know how guilty I'd feel afterwards. ok so basically im thirteen new town new school i live in a apartment complex so i met a few kids already but now my best friend that i met here is moving [she was the only one on my team that i know]so basically im screwed but during the summer ive been all preppy i guess but the thing is i love emo gothic, & scene kids i love there style but its a new school and i dont want to seem all wierd is there anyway to incoporate preppy with emo gothic or scene? and i dont want a lecture about not listening to peoples comments and thoughts

Firs of all, I dis agree with what contradictionn said. Emo and goth kids are just as much followers as anyone else.

To answer your question, what do YOU feel most comfortable wearing? If you want to mix preppy and emo...is it because you really think that looks good or are you doing it just because you think you'll be accepted that way.

I'm in college now, but when I was in high school, I went through a similar thing as you. I made friends with a lot of goth people and I dressed like them, but then I realized that I actually liked color in my clothes and started to dress more brightly. Because of that, the goths dumped me and I realized how shallow they were! It's a good way to test if people are your true friends or not. If you want to dress preppy, then DRESS PREPPY! Talk to the emo and goth kids in your preppy clothes, and if they judge and ignore you, then FORGET them! You want to make friends with people who like you for your personality, not because you conform to looking like them.

Why has advicenators been deleting people who are 'fakes'? As in they are pretending to be someone else, with the picture in their column. I know that's pathetic, and they shouldn't be doing it, but..why worry about it? I thought this site was about giving advice, personally I don't think anyone's picture should even be considered in the removal of an account.

Most of the time, the people that steal pictures are just looking for attention and fishing for compliments on this site, and that is not what this site is for. Plus, many fakers steal pictures of models and photos that are copyright, and like someone else said, that is against the law.

I have had a countless amount of people steal my pictures, and let me tell you, it isn't fun.

Heres the deal, I'm obbsessed with britney spears. i have all of her posters, 2 pepsi lifesize cardboard cutout things, shirts a ton of picturs. every magazine shes ever been on, even when she was really young. i also have 33 of her cds( including remixes and stuff off of ebay). I even have something of hers that she was selling off of ebay to raise money for Katrina victims. well here is the problem. only about 5 people know. i never have friends over because i like briney so much cause everyone thinks she is fake and sluty and stuff. i want to tell people but i know that they would make fun of me and stuff. i'm not lesbiean or anything, i just like britney a lot. i'm in middle school so you know that people would make fun of me cause thats how middle school is. i don't care about what people think but i don't want everyone talking about me and my obbsessian about her. just think about what rumors could start. help me please!!! what should i do???!!!thanks guys.

Personally, I don't know why you like her so much. She is fake, and she lies about everything she does and blames other people. Plus she's very selfish and shallow and I could go on for days. You're still young and maybe that's why you don't understand that she's no one to obsess over. My first advice to you is for you to reflect on why you choose your idols. But to answer your actual question, just everyone everyone has something that they think other people will make fun of. Just tell people that you like her a lot, they shouldn't care too much. But beware that they will have their own opinion on her and whatever you do, don't be one of those fans who hate anyone else that doesn't like her. She's got a very bad reputation and most people really don't like her, so you should be ready to hear them out too.

You know the stuff they use to numb your mouth at the dentist? I don't know what it's called. Well I know that after it wears off, you mouth is still a little sore from the needles but how long is it supposed to stay sore? It's been 4 days for me and I still can't even sleep on my left cheek because of it. The soreness has never lasted so long.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. For me, it usually takes about a week for the soreness to go away, so you shouldn't have too much longer. I'd say that if it hurts for more than 2 weeks, call you dentist back and tell him/her.

Okay. This guy. We have been talking alot lately. Late into the night. I left for a week, and when I cam back, he moved on. A whole new group of friends and everything. I dont know. I thought we were going to hit it off, we were flirting like crazy. Now we havent talked at all, and he is flirting with many other girls. Yeah you should forget about him if he did that to you. He obviously wasn't willing to be patient enough after you went away for a week, and you don't want a guy like that, I assume. I know it may be hard to let him go, but this seems like one of those cases where he's just not all that you hoped he'd be. Just move on and if he wants to talk to you again, let him come to you! You tried to get back in touch with him, and now the ball is in his court, so he should come to you if it's ever to be reconciled. But don't stay home waiting for the phone to ring for him either.

Okay, I don't usually get nervous before performing on stage. I get really nervous during auditions, though and because I'm nervous I perform poorly and I don't get a callback. I hate knowing that I could do really well, but blowing it because I'm nervous. Does anyone know how I can overcome my audition nerves? I will rate high. Thanks.

Try to act like it's not an audition. Pretend that it's just a performance, so that you don't get nervous.

I was 14 the first time I made out with a guy. But it was in middle school and it was one of those kiddie type things. I didn't go on a real date (like out to eat and movies) until I was 16.

If there's any doubts at all, then you're not ready. So I think that if a part of you, even a small part, feels you might be too young, then you probably are. If I were you, I'd wait.

Ashley, I know you do beauty pageants and I was wondering if there are any height/weight or any physical requirements. Do you have to be gorgeous to be in them? I'm kind of short and I'm not ugly, but I'm not gorgeous or anything. I'd say I'm average looking. Could I still be in them? You're very pretty by the way!

Aw thank you! I'm sure you're very pretty too. But to answer your question, no there's typically no requirements for your appearance, unless it's for a petite's pageant or a plus size pageant. But the average pageant has no physical limitations so of course you can join them. Afterall, pageants aren't all about looks. They are actually more about your personality, confidence, intelligence, and ambitions just to name a few. If you need any help finding local pageants in your area, I can find some for you. I don't think you waited too long. But now it seems like you want to do it just to do it (sorry if I'm wrong), and you should want to do it with someone you are really into and who is into you as well. It will be worth waiting for someone special. Just hang in there. It will happen for you.

Well that depends on how much you are actually eating, which you didn't say but if you know you are eating more than you should, then you probably need to learn to distract yourself away from food. Keep yourself busy, pick up a new hobby or two and see if that works. Or prepare to work off what you eat.

I think that i have really good style, but a lot of people think that it is "different" i wear like hollister stuff and stuff like that, but i turn them into "me." I really need some help to decided if i should dress like everyone eles or if i should be myself???

If you like it, wear it. Don't worry about looking like everyone else and don't worry if people think you are just trying to be like everyone else. I personally can't stand it when people say, "But I want to look different!" and they avoid wearing things that they like just because others have it too. Why limit yourself to what you wear just because it's popular? If you like Hollister, then you should wear it.

I mean, I'm not trying to say you should be a clone and there's nothing wrong with wanting to look different sometimes and wanting to stand out, but not every single day. You can't avoid trends or looking like other people every time.

Get your split ends trimmed every 4-6 weeks and see a professional about getting a deep conditioning treatment.
