You know the stuff they use to numb your mouth at the dentist? I don't know what it's called. Well I know that after it wears off, you mouth is still a little sore from the needles but how long is it supposed to stay sore? It's been 4 days for me and I still can't even sleep on my left cheek because of it. The soreness has never lasted so long.
Additional info, added Sunday June 25 2006, 4:04 pm: Okay, I don't care what it's called I need to know how long it's supposed to be sore after it wears off because of the fact that it's been 4 days. MissAshleyXOXO answered Sunday June 25 2006, 8:53 pm: Yeah I know exactly what you mean. For me, it usually takes about a week for the soreness to go away, so you shouldn't have too much longer. I'd say that if it hurts for more than 2 weeks, call you dentist back and tell him/her. [ MissAshleyXOXO's advice column | Ask MissAshleyXOXO A Question ]

vermillion26 answered Sunday June 25 2006, 3:49 pm: Four days is too long for your mouth to still be sore. It really shouldn't last much longer than the day of. I would call your dentist or see a doctor because it is possible that something went wrong. Even if your mouth is still sore, you should be able to sleep on that side. It shouldn't be that sore. If you had your teeth pulled or a root canal, or some other invasive procedure and this is your first time the pain might be caused by that. Still, call your dentist or doctor and find out whats going on. Good Luck.
MaxwellsSilverHammer answered Sunday June 25 2006, 3:24 pm: Generally, it's novocaine. Four days is too long to be sore, it should have worn off after a few hours.
