19/f i have a controlling/crazy/abusive family. I know no one is perfect especially not me, but my family is driving me insane. My parents are so controlling. All they do is fight with each other and not only that they are so rude to me. My mom for example brings things up from like years ago, and i notice whenever we're out and about she'll say something rude, and she won't stop. Not only that she's always asking me if I've eaten anything and if i tell her no she'll start yelling at me. I am getting so sick of it because really im 19 now and it's none of her damn business if i eat or not. My dad is crazy. he came from an abusive home. He gets mad so easily that i don't even know where to start. If i don't do things there way they'll yell and scream at me. Once it was because i didn't want to clean my room (my drawers) the way my mom wanted me to and she started creaming at me, be cause i get an attitude. And my dad was yelling at me, and i was so s cared that i thought he was going to hurt me so i ended up hurting him and they put me in the garage. So basically my parents are psycho who just lecture me all the time about what i should and shouldn't do. For example it's summer and i don't have a job, I've been looking for one, and my mom of course starts telling me i need to read books. I really don't like reading. I like doing sudoku puzzles but my mom says its for people who have nothing better to do. And she starts telling me that she has a college degree or whatever so she can do it in her spare time but i can't. I really don't know what to do anymore, i've been seeing a therapist and my parents were too but they stopped. All she does is sit there and tells me oh im sorry. Or she'll tell me whenever my mom says something to me to try and not say anything. I've tried that and it's difficult, but when i do i stay mad. Seeing a therapist isn't helping since all she does is sit there and says well you do have control over the situation, and blah blah just do what your parents want because i can't live my own life. So yeah and no only that she tells me i can't control what my parents say, and i can't move because i don't have a job and even if i did get a minimum wage job i won't be able to live on my own. And i really wish i could get along with my parents better but they're so stupid sometimes. This whole thing is stressing me out and making me depressed to the point where i start eating less and i just don't feel like living anymore because i can't live my own life. I don't know what to do anymore. please help!! (link)

I'm a 17 year old guy. I did sexual things with somebody in September and got tested for AIDS, gonnarhea, and chlamydia. Thank goodness I got back negative test results for each. However, my sperm has been kind of yellow and more clumpy than usual for a month or two.

My girlfriend has a cold sore, right there on the end of her mouth.
She keeps getting pissed at me because I don't want her to kiss even my cheek or forehead, because it's a freaking cold sore.

My ex and I broke up a few months ago and in the time we were apart she hooked up with another guy. Because she felt guilty about it, she confessed to me that she had sex with him several times. But she said it was only after she had been having sex with him that she found out he has Herpes. Now she's very scared that she might have contracted it even though they used protection. She also stopped having sex with him as soon as she found out.
She wants to get tested for Herpes, but she has no Health Insurance to cover the costs. Is there an organization that would give a free STD test to someone in her financial position? Also, does it take a while before the STD can be detected or can she be tested immediately for it?

My husband has 3 children from his previous marriage and has full-custody. We've had custody of them for 3 years now in Texas. Their mother lives in California. She has been unemployed since she moved out there 5 years ago. She makes no efforts to be a "real" part of the kids' lives. She hasn't come to visit, her cell is continuously shut off so calls are limited (once a week or every two weeks). And the children are currently 11, 8, and 6.

I know blood is red but what color should period blood be? I mean, healthy period blood...

I'm 18. I've had sex WITH a condom ONCE since my last period (I am not on the pill). My last period started on April 27th. This month I should have started on May 27th, and I did, but all I've experienced was a little bloody the first day (light) and it has just been brown discharge ever since.
This is not the first time this has happened. I often get brown gunky discharge instead of a period.
Should I be worried? I'm out of town until Tuesday.. but I plan on taking a test when I get home. Is it worth my trouble?

I have a major crisis.. i just got my period today and in a month i'm supposed to go to florida for volleyball nationals and i'm supposed to get my next period during that tournament :( the reason why this sucks is because
- i can't wear tampons. like i've tried at least 20 times and it just doesn't work for me. and there's no way i can get the experience now and be able to succeed wearing them in a month.
- the place we are staying at (rental home) has our own private pool and i can 90% guarantee that we will be swimming a lot.
- nobody on my team knows that i can't wear tampons, so it would be really embarrassing if i told them that i can't go swimming because i have my period.
so any advice??
btw- my mom won't let me go on the pill. i was thinking about asking my bff to get birth control pills and let me use them for a month until the tournament starts. do you think that will work? like if i started taking the pill asap, will i be able to skip my next period in a month?
also, is there any way i could make it come a week sooner? my period normally comes every 26 days, is there any way??? helppp i'm desperate. and please don't say "grow up and wear tampons" because i honestly can't use them and i won't have enough experience to use them in a month. thank you! (link)

First of the pill want make you skip periods or even make them late anouther thing is when you go if you want to swim in the pool with your friends then at leace sence you cant wear pads in water then wear light tampons you cant feel them at all and if ur bleeding bad just use a regular tample not to small and not to big thats if u want to swim that bad and if it hurts that bad then go get checked
