I know blood is red but what color should period blood be? I mean, healthy period blood...
I get brown colored blood sometimes at the beginning AND at the end of my period. The color in the middle days is usually a bright red though. Red color sounds healthy but...the brown sounds...weird. Is having brown period blood normal? Should I see a doctor?

Period blood varies in colour and anything from red to dark brown is normal. It's common for menstrual blood to change colour throughout your period so I wouldn't worry.
You should probably also bear in mind that once the blood exits your vagina and hits the air, it's going to change colour. Often the blood will actually be red when it first comes out but change to brown after a while. [ rainbowcherrie's advice column | Ask rainbowcherrie A Question ]
