Losing weight and gaining muscle

What are some quick ways at losing weight and gaining muscle? I exercise and all, but it just doesn't seem to be helping that much or as fast as I would like it to. I would like to lose about 10lbs a month, seems reasonable to me, and what I'm losing in weight I would like to gain in muscle. I'm 13(m)

First off don't get fusturated so quick. You are only 13 Male you are not done growing first off. So your metabolism is different than an average person too. Losing 10 lbs a month can be alot for a 13yr old. Start looking at the saturated fat in things you eat. The excersise might not be enough, it matters what excerises and what you are eating. My advice to you is eat breakfast, watch what you eat and don't eat late at night. Do your sit ups, running or jogging, and you need to lift a little weight. Just be careful not to overdue it. And remember calorie count and saturated fat grams? Look at your labels. It is important for a teen to eat right, oh and gettting good sleep habits believe it or not a good schedule will help you too. Good Luck!
