I was just away all weekend camping with some of my old and new est friends and I got about 50 misquito bites just on my legs. They itch like nobody's bussiness but I don't want to itch them. Does anybody have any remedies for itchiness that actually work? I've already tried the ice cube and rubbing alcohol (as suggested by friends) and, while they work, they hurt lie crazy!
Also, does anybody have any ways to avoid being bitten? I'm not sure if its possible because I wore long pants and a TON of insect repellent, but I'm going back to camp (but a different one) for two weeks in the middle of the summer and don't want to be itchy the whole time! (link)

i'm 17. female...me and my best friend *stacy* where always together 24/7 before and after school. then i started summer school. she would come up there and help my mom. well one day she ran into her old boyfriend. started hanging with him. *jon* introduced me to *jason* we started daten. then about a week later stacy leaves jon then jason leaves me. now stay and jason are together. i ask her why she did that she said "s***t happens and to get over it" that really hurt me she was my only and true best friend. now should i be mad at her and have nothing to do with her. or give her a 2nd chance?
-keep in mind when she started hanging out w/ Jon again she changed alot to the point that me and her parents noticed her haveing more attitude and the forbid her to see him but she keep doing it and she is stuck on the fact that she is 18 and she can do what she pleases (link)

Well, i am a person and i believe in giving 2nd chances. But what she did was absoloutley wrong. And if she is supposed to be your TRUE BEST FRIEND, then you should NOT stop being her friend, but just don't concider her a BEST friend anymore. And just kinda leave her alone for a little while. Obveously she is careless of your feelings! :)

this may be kind of long but ill try to make it as short as possible. me and this guy mike have been broken up for about a year and a half. the whole time we have talked and he still tells me he loves me and misses me every once in a while. well tonight i was with my friend and he called me. well he then told me he was coming to my house but i told him no cause im scared of heartbreak. i do have a boyfriend of 7 months but i still do care about mike. and my boyfriend is amazing so i dont want to hurt him. well mike stayed for like 10 minutes trying to get me to come outside but i couldnt bring my self to it cause i always do. well later on he told me that he made me something since i made him a scrapbook last summer. he refuses to give it to me til i see him. he stayed on the phone with me after he left and had something to say but couldnt because his friend was there. he told me wed talk about it later and i asked when that was and he told me he didnt know. i really care about him and i always will cause he was my first love but i dont know what to do. should i just let him come over and give it to me and talk to me like he wanted and say what he wanted or should i just say no? please help. thanks so much!! I think that you should talk to Mike,give him another chance. Maybe he really still wants to be with you. If it were me, i wouldn't break up with my new boyfriend.....yet.
First kinda talk to Mike and see if he is for real. If he is, then you might want to think about a 2nd chance. Since you said he was your first love, then i would tell the other guy that You have stronger feelings for this other guy. If he is a nice guy, he will understand. Just ask yourself, who are you happier with????

My best friend's boyfriend really gets on my nerves. He calls me names and he is really immature. Last time when my best friend and I hung out all she did was talked to him on the phone but she later on apologized for it. When we are on the phone together all she does is talk about him. Y don't you tell your friend that her boyfriend is being a real @$$whole? And ask her to talk to him. Then if she does that and he doesn't get his act together, then maybe you should cool off from your friend. I am not saying STOP being her friend, just say, "Hey, I'm gonna kick by myself 4 a little bit, but we're still friends, k? :D

I have a hairy stomach

seriously, my stomach is kinda hairy, not like thick dark hair, its blonde but there is a lot of it. If i shave it, it will grow back coarser and darker (just like leg hairs do) and i would have to keep shaving it the rest of my life. Nair causes a skin reaction and i get red and it burns and waxing would probably irritate my skin as well. What can i do to get rid of this gross hair that i feel i am the only person who has it?
PLease dont tell me to just accept it for part of who i am , that kinda pisses me off a little becuase i dont want it so why should i accept it? please respond!! (link)

Why don't you just go to him and say hello? then tell him your name. I know that feeling when you see a boy and you like him, the you whole body gets this weird feeling and you feel like EVERYONE is watching you.
But it is not that bad. Boys are people, just like us. I mean sure, they might be dumb and we may have to use smallers words talking to them (LOL) but they can also be very nice.

As far as i can tell, i think that you like him as more than just a friend. But once you 2 start dating, you'll both realize that you're acting different. Example: You talk alot when you were friends. Now your a couple and you don't talk as much. You'll realize that it is better for you to be friends! :)

Well, if you want to get to the "climax" of your relashionship, then while he is laying on the sofa, be kind of playful and sit on top of him. Then on tv, find something romantic/funny to watch. Then you guys will laugh and look into each others eyes, and the next thing yu know, you got what you wanted/desereved! :)

Ok, So I am 13 years old and since May 2005, I have found myself madly in love with no other than a 20 year old McDonalds worker. He has started to open up a little more in the past couple of months, and he gives me lots of hugs, flirts, and shows all the "signs" of love back. Yet he has never told me. I am also 13 years old. And unless you would like to end up on Channel 2 action news, i strongly suggest that you leave this man alone. i am pretty sure that your mom loves you and wouldn't want ANYTHING to happen to you.

I'm going to be taking these self-esteem classes soon (against my will) and I was wondering if anyone knew from personal experience, what it was like. Or maybe you know a friend or family member that took them? They just sound so cheesey, and like a complete waste of time and money. I've tried talking my mom out of it but it didn't work. If their going to make me do one thing I dont like (i.e. not putting makeup on) they can just forget about that. =)

I have never takin self esteem classes, but i have trouble with self esteem. At the beginning of the 7th grade, i thought there was nothing wrong with my weight. Towards the end and middle of the year, girls started telling me i was fat. So i payed attention to everything on my body. To try to lose weight. And i still am. Till this very day, i am body contious and i am size 5/7!
The best way to deal with your self esteem, is to just believe that you are beautiful in everyway. The good lord made you that way for a reason!

I have never had to deal with a family death, but i can tell you how to deal with it. Discuss the situation with your teachers. Ask them if there is anything you can do to better your grade.

If you really want to lose weight, then the best person to get involved is your mom. BUT, DON'T TELL HER YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT!!! Simply say "mom, i think that i can do better on my eating habits. I don't want to lose weight, I want to tone what I have."
If that doesn't work, then tell her you want to lose weight. Do all the exercise you can and give yourself a deadline.
