My best friend's boyfriend really gets on my nerves. He calls me names and he is really immature. Last time when my best friend and I hung out all she did was talked to him on the phone but she later on apologized for it. When we are on the phone together all she does is talk about him. Its really annoying me to the point where I can't take it. What do I do to handle this problem? I know I must talk to her but what should I say?
BlahBlahBlah answered Monday June 5 2006, 4:45 pm: there is one thing that you have to remember...its her boyfriend and even though you dont like him, for whatever reason, she does. Just tell your friend that although you love to hang out with her, you would rather not hang out with her boyfriend, and when she wants to talk about him, not to call you. Hopefully she'll get the message.

I know he really gets on your nerves and all, but she likes talking about him to you because you'll listen and you're her best friend. Just talk to her about him and maybe she could talk to him about it. He needs to stop being immature and mean to you. If he doesn't stop, just ignore him. It might be hard but he knows what bothers you and he will keep doing it. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
