bleach

Question Posted Monday June 5 2006, 3:28 pm

can you bleach hair with straight bleach? or is it horrible for your hair?

[ Answer this question ]

Additional info, added Monday June 5 2006, 7:57 pm:
well I was just going to do one streak in the bottom layer of my hair and one in my bangs and I wanted it to be white. What about a bleach kit from the store? I really don't want to pay $65 for one streak and tips.. and besides.. most stylists don't know exactly where I want it, even if I do show them..

go to walgreens and get a bleach kit- theyre like 5 dollrs. regular bleach will make your hair smell, and dry out - and in most cases- it will fall out because th bleach will penetrate your scalp.

Yeah,dont do this.
You might hate yourself after words.
If you dont want to pay 65,your better off going to the store and geting the ones that cost 10.
Ive done blonde it came out kinda orangest, but after u wash it couple times.
It goes to its color.
Or theres sallys beauty supply.

Yeah, you'll screw up your hair. You don't want to do that now, do you? Haha. Go to a salon, and they'll do it for you. Hope this helps.

bleaching your hair is bad in general, but with straight bleach yes that would be very bad for your hair, and the color would defenitely not turn out well, it'd be like white!

hey. DONT DO IT! regular bleach will just take ALL of the color out of your hair and make it white. if thats what you want then go ahead, but if you go to a hair salon, they can bleach it for you. hope this helps!! :] ♥-X♥

DO NOT DO IT. Straight Bleach will turn your hair completely white, and unless you want that, it's not a good thing to do. Also, it is damaging to your hair and anything else you might get it on.

Whatever you do, don't use household bleach to do your hair!!!!!!!

It's very drying so other than the fact it will turn your hair a very unnatural colour, it will have a terrible effect on the condition of the hair in general and I promise you, no amount of conditioner wil help!!!

In answer to your question, yes hydrogen peroxide would work, as this is basically what they use in shops. However, I would strongly recommend you don't use it without the advice of a trained hairdresser because it can be tricky stuff. Too much and your hair will go an odd colour and suffer severe damage. Too little and you might turn your hair orange. The best thing you can do if you want to dye your hair cheaply is to purchase a do-it at home kit and ask someone who has used one before to help you.
