motivators

Question Posted Sunday June 4 2006, 11:40 pm

I want to lose weight, and I know how to go about it, healthy food.. and all that junk.. only one problem. I can't motivate myself to do it. I always end-up not doing it. Does anyone know of some good motivators.. that would help me with something... I REALLY want to lose this weight..

I'm not sure for motives, but if you wanna lose weight, you could play DDR. It's a fun game, and it's great excercise. You could also ride your bike and stuff like that. =]

here are a couple ideas:

~ find a shirt, dress, swimsuit, etc that you really like, but get it in the size you want to end up as (be reasonable, though. if you're a size 10, don't go straight for 0) then, you could hang it up and it could be a reminder.

~ find some pictures of what you want to look like, and hang them up around your room, or the kitchen to remind you to excercise, or to not eat extra junk.

hope i helped! good luck!

Do you have a certain celebrity you admire or someone, you can have a picture and no you probably wont get exact results like the person in the picture, but thats a good motivator. or just think how changed/better you would look in the future =)

If you really want to lose weight, then the best person to get involved is your mom. BUT, DON'T TELL HER YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT!!! Simply say "mom, i think that i can do better on my eating habits. I don't want to lose weight, I want to tone what I have."
If that doesn't work, then tell her you want to lose weight. Do all the exercise you can and give yourself a deadline.
GOOD LUCK! :o)

look..that should be enough said.
If you really don't like the way you look now than all the motivation you need is to better yourself.

Well if you REALLY want to lose weight, you should be motivated by the way you look now, if you dont like the way you look, you should want to get healthy & fit!

One thing you can do is, to write out a paper saying what your going to do, and set a date or well I mean put your goal on the paper, and then sign your name on it. Make a promise to yourself,
dont use pictures of models to motivate you because no one is that skinny, and its unhealthy.

You need to eat right and exercise,
and for your motivation, for each person its really different, but the motivation is usually what we hate about ourselfs we want to fix.
