so i need to lose weight, i need to feel better. ive been so tired and im sick of it. i want to look and feel better.
a few questions:
-what kind of vitamins are good for me to take everyday?
-for breakfast, what could i eat besides cereal? is there anything fast to make? i was thinking about making one scrambled egg and a glass of juice and vitamins. would that be good enough?
-what is something really healthy that i can bring to lunch, besides salad. i dont really want to bring anything to school that can spoil in my locker, just something really light that wont make me too full. and not really sandwiches either, because i get sick of that too quick.
-what are some healthy snacks that i can eat, besides yogurt, veggies, and fruits?
-how much water should i drink in a day?
-is there any other drinks that are healthy besides water?
-should i completely cut out junk food, or have it once or twice a week?
i want to lose weight, but i want to be healthy. i dont wanna starve myself like i already am. im slowly stopping the pop drinking, and sticking with juice and water. ill have a pop once in a while. for dinner, i just eat what my mom makes me, but im gonna start eating in smaller portions.
also, what is a good exercise plan to go on?
i have a treadmill and a bike, how long should i go on each every day?
i could use loads of help from people that have lost a lot of weight, and it would help if some vegans could tell me what they eat. im not turning vegan but i like some of that kind of food.
please any advice can help!

-For the Vitamins, the Flintstones are good for anyone. But don't take to many vitamins they can be bad for you at a point.
-Now This might be long. You want your meals to be small. You really should aim to eat 5 meals a day. Small ones! Breakfast and egg would be good (protein) juice and some other small thing. Then you would like to eat a "snack" 2-3 hours later. Dry nuts, or an apple and so on. Then lunch(small and healthy tho) 2-3 hours later snack, dinner then snack before bed. But make your snack a couple hours before bed.
-For lunch(again none of your meals should be big I'll explain why later) Apples, bananas, fruits, yogurt, anything doesn't have a lot of carbs or sugars.
-Healthy snacks. Apples are really great for you and your teeth haha. Dry cereal that isn't full of sugar. Just put it in a baggy. Cheese sticks are great. Fruit smoothies that are made the right way with the right kind of milk and stuff.
-You should really aim for at least 8 glasses of water. I usually drink two in the morning while in school. For breakfast then just to drink. You can even drink propel if you hate reg. water like me. Switch pop to water for meals. It doesn't taste all that bad. Drinking a lot of water will help clean out your kidneys, which if you drink a lot of pop, reallly need to be cleaned out.
-Fruit smoothies again. Propel, Milk is good, but not to much of it. Really water is your best bet. There might be more, but thats what I know and drink.
-You really don't want to cut it out all together. Bc at some point your body will just want it, and you'll give in and just forget all about the healthy stuff and just go back to junk food everyday. Having it one day a week will make you look forward to it. mine is sundays, bc sundays are lazy days and it just makes sense to me haha.
-For exercise, you don't really wanna do everything EVERYDAY. Every other day is really best. Start with a fast walk the first week for ohh.. I say 20 mins? or even more! Next day, bike for 20 mins or more. Next day or same day, work on your abs. Some things you might wanna get. Jump rope, small weights to do squats with.
Now the thing with exercising is, you want to switch it up everytime you do it, bc your body will sooner or later, get use to it, and it wont do anything for you after awhile. (not right away but like a month or so after doing it, it wont do much for you)
OKay now for small meals and not big ones. It deals with your sugar. You wake up and your sugar level is low, so say you eat a lot for breakfast. Will that spikes your sugar up high, meaning your body releases a lot of insulin, then your sugar gets really low. Then by lunch you neeeed food, so you eat a lot again, and the same thing just keeps happening. Eating more small meals, really helps your metabolism. It makes it speeds up which helps you lose weight in the long run. Eating only two meals a day, slows it down and you hole bosy system slows down and your body holds on to the food you give it, making you gain weight.
I really hope I helped! :D
I'm an athlete. But I'm not like super-lean or anything. I'm pretty bulky, especially in my lower body/butt. It's not because I'm fat- I'm just solid there, and it's hard for me to find shorts/pants that fit well. I want to slim down some, so how do I do this? I run often, but I know that builds muscle also, so should I cut back on my food intake more? Or work out more? I don't want to be any more muscular, just smaller and more toned.
You sound like me! :D
Okay, so I've been doing these crunches at night to help make my little tummy fat more tight. Lay flat on the ground, do 20(or however many, then bend your knees do 20, then raise your feet off the ground with your knees still bent, do 20, your legs straight up in the air, do 20, then work your way down again, it hurts, but I have seen some difference. Then I put something that will raise my lower body up, and I do leg lifts to work my lower abs where my tummy has that little belly fat, its been working. Now if you have hips with little fat on them I do side crunches on a big ball, it works great. To make them more intense get some weight and hold it above your head. I hope I helped!

okay i'm a cheerleader and we only have one tumbler. so i decided that i wanted to be one also so it looks cooler. so i was wondering how to i start and if there are any videos that can help me. thanks a bunch.
I'm a cheerleader also, and I can tumble. It is VERY hard if you are not use to holding your own body weight. I strongly suggest getting into gymnastics that way you have someone who knows how to teach there with you. Watching videos will help, but not help you. To start working out outside of gymnastics, get in a handstand and do push ups. If you need the wall, use the wall. This is build up your arm strength and give you a good idea of how strong you have to be to be able to do a back handspring.
Okay, so I work out usually like everyday and I have a pretty nice body I guess. I have abs and what not. Oh, by the way, I'm a girl, I'm 15. But anyways, I still have this like fat on my lower back that I just can't get off and it's driving me crazy. Any workouts I can do or any suggestions?
I do this, here is the video I got it off of. Its kinda tricky to do, and if your doing it one way, and you don't feel anything, you might need to keep moving around until you do feel something..

If you don't have one of those balls, their at wal mart for pretty cheap!! =D
I'm 17 years old, 5'5", and weigh around 96 pounds. I'll go ahead and say I am pretty thin, but there are some areas that could use some muscle definition. Before I even ask my question, I am NOT looking to lose any weight. Weight loss is not a concern for me. I'm not involved in any sports, and I used to run in my free time, but haven't gotten around to doing so in about a year. I would really just like to tone up my whole body in general, especially for summer. I'm enrolled in a fitness gym that opens the first of June, so just some exercises or activities that I can do at home to give me a head start on toning would be extremely appreciated.
Start doing your abs! I think girls look really cute with abs. Not manly ugly abs like body builders, but the cute ones! If you don't have any weights around the house, get your gallon on milk, and do arm curls everyday. Push ups will help. I'm not sure about how to work you legs, try wall sits. I hope I helped!!
If you've lost a decent amount of weight, how did it affect your face and facial features? Did your eyes look bigger, or did your lips get thinner? I'm just curious what happens. Does the size of your neck even change? Ridiculous question, I know, but I really want to know!
I didn't lose a bunch of weight, just some that past year, and mainly my cheeks are not as round. And I don't have a "double chin" anymore either. Now my friend lost a bunch of weight. Here are two pictures of her

as you can see, her face is not as round.
She has big lips, they I think didn't change. And she just has small eyes. I hope I helped!

i feel uncomfortable in my body sometimes(i know thats not a good thing but i don't know. its just how i feel). especially when i hang out with my friends who are skinnier then me. which is all of them... i have huge thighs. big boobs. my belly has a pouch on it. and i have love handles that can be seen through everything i wear.
i've been working out lately. i run on the treadmill. ride a stationary bike. go on an elliptical. and lift weights(i don't lift weights that much though) probably 2-3 times a week for 45 minutes to an hour and 30 minutes. the only problem is i don't eat as healthy as i should so that is probably why i am not loosing as much weight as i would like.
i want to get a perfect body by summer so i can feel comfortable wearing a bikini in front of people.
so heres my question. what other work out techniques should i start doing? and what eating habits should i start?
also another question. people say that when you work out your boobs get smaller. if thats true what exercises should i be doing so i can get smaller boobs?
Well I took up track to lose weight, and I have. I have big boobs like you, but I think I have a great body, I just had that little belly fat that a lot of people have. Thats gone. So if its not to late, go out for track. Cut out anything that has empty calories. Pop, chips, candy. Anything that doesn't help you. Lifting weights will help make your boobs more muscle then the fat that they are. From running, my boobs have got a little bit smaller, but only to were I notice it. So maybe try lifting weights that involve using your chest. Keep up the good work tho, and just try to lower the pop and what not. =-D
what are some really good excercises to get in shape really fast. i know it takes time, but are there any really good excercises that i can do?
Running is the best. There really isn't anything to get in shape, but running. That I know of. So start running, fast walking, jogging, 45 mins. 4-5 days a week. && eat healthier I hope I helped
Im a fucking fat ass. I need help to lose weight and no im not taking Fucking pills. How can i lose weight really fucking fast.
start running, thats the most important thing to do. Eat way better. stop eating junk food, no pop.
Like the title says.
I'm obese, well not really sure about that, maybe just a bit overweight. I weigh 140-145 pounds... I have one of those scales where you have to read off the little ticks, and sometimes it says 140 and sometimes it says 145, pretty inaccurate. I'm 5'3 or somewhere around there, maybe a bit taller since the last time I checked was 2 years ago [17 atm].
My goal is 130 lbs maybe 125 lbs, not 120 like the BMI says, only because my friend is 130 and she looks perfectly normal. And I also want to fit into a size 'medium'/'small' (depends on the store).
I do not have a huge problem with junk food, except that I have chocolate cravings (gotta love chocolate). I usually have eggs or a bagel for break fast, noodles or soup with crackers for lunch, and rice with some sort of meat whether it be chicken, pork, beef or fish for dinner + vegetables.
However I do need a fitness regime (what to do, amount of time, etc), I don't have access to a gym or any gym equipment. But I do have a puppy if he counts for anything.
I would also like a time frame for me to achieve my goal so I don't bum around, & so it gives me motivation to lose the weight.
Im not good with foods. But I play sports, and my grandpap is a fitness person. Take your puppy for walks!!! Or take him jogging with you. Its a fact that people that walk their dogs everyday, lose more weight then the people that dont. So take him for about an hour walk close to everyday, or 5 days a week. Go running, jogging, speed walking for about 45mins to an hour. Dont do the same thing everytime, bc when your body will get use to it, and it will stop losing as much calories it was. So switch up each time. When watching tv, do sit ups, or jumping jacks between breaks. I hope I helped!!
ok i have a high metabolism so im naturally on the slim side and im tall but since i started working in a restaurant 8 months ago ive put on some pounds id like to lose and just tone up. i dont have much time to workout but if i were to walk briskly on my treadmill [maybe jog a little sometimes] 3-4ish times a week how would my results vary than if i were to run? because i really dont like running and plus im sooooo out of shape i get winded after 5 minutes. would brisk-walking still be good for me? at least until i can work my way up to runnin?
any kind of extra walking/jogging/running is great for you. Do it for atleast 45mins. - an hour 4 times a week. Or even more! You will see results, but probably not as fast as running. Good Luck!
I kinda want to be a cheerleder. im not really sure but i really would like to do a fun sport like that. i do gymnastics but i want to do something school related. the thing is im not good at cheerleading. i tried last year and didnt make it and im def. not the type of popular girl who would try. my biggest problem is that i cant memorize things easily. having this problem honestly should i try or not? its not a life dream or anything just something i thought might be fun to try. so if i wont be good at it and make it i dont want to put the time into it and practice and get my hopes up to crash and burn. try-outs arent until april or sumthing obviously so its not like really soon or anything. or maybe pom-poms. i would def. like to be a pom-pom girl. is it easier or harder? i think i would actually prefer that then cheerleading. is anyone a pom-pom girl? and still would not being able to quickly memorize routines a problem? thanks so much and i will rate all helpful advice! :D
Im a cheerleader and its tons of fun. Pom pom looks like it would be fun also, but my school doesnt have it so I never really got to see it ex. at half time when other schools girls would dance. Im not a preppy girl and most ppl still dont know Im a cheerleader bc I dont act like it.
If you cant memorize things well, Im sure some girls will help you, or even the coaches. You didnt say how old you were, but a girl this year, shes a senior, never did cheerleading, and made it. Her jumps are good, but she cant memorize. So start working on jump, now. Here are some thing you can do to make your jumps higher and get your legs far apart(im bad at explainthing this, but I hope you get what Im trying to say)
Sit on the floor with your legs apart. Place your hands infront of you, close to your vargina. Lift one leg off the ground and move them in a circular motion backwards. Try 5 at first(if they are easy to you bc you are a gymnasts like me, then do more untill it hurts.) then do the other leg the same number of times. Do this twice a day. And do 20 jumps of the same jump a day.
Another thing is for your toetouches, to make your legs remember to snap together at the end. Just stand striaght, and do a little jump, and make your legs spread a little, then snap them together before hitting the ground. That sounds like it wont help, but it really will. Bc most ppl when they jump dont snap their legs together.
If there is anything else you want to know, or want some more tips, just let me know and Ill tell you more! =D
it would never hurt. Bc then you would wonder what would of happened if you did make it. Just do what I said with the jump, but Im sure you jumps are already good bc of gymnastics. Ask a friend who is a cheerleader to help you when try outs come. Dont be scared, thats the worst thing to do. Remeber to do facials, but dont try to stand out by doing a ton of flips, bc then to the coaches it will seem that you are showing off. Wait untill the actual try outs to do your flips, not the week of learning things!! =D
hi i am a 13/f
and i would like to lose some weight by halloween,
here are my problems
no access to a gym
running huge problem because my area is not safe to run, even if i'm with someone.
any exercises, diets i can do at home?
ex: sit ups?
things like that.
thanks so much!
doing sit ups and crunches will do nothing.. if you want to lose your belly fat, you have to run. Thats really the only 100% sure way. By doing crunches and sit ups, your working your abs, but its no use bc you still have the fat over them. And they wont show.. So run at your schools track..
15/f
I need to lose 30-40 pounds. My school has a gym- and it has treadmills, ellipticals, and a stationery bike + free weights and stuff.
What should I do in that gym to help me lose weight?
I agree, but dont do the same thing everytime. You need to switch it up every other time you workout. Bc your body will get use to what you have been doing and have less effect on it!
Ok, I'm skinny but I'm trying to tone my body. I really want it to look better because I know it can. What I am trying to do is lose weight around my hips. I can feel my hip bone but there is all this fat in the way and makes it look really bad. I'm 113 and 5'3 and I do sit ups everyday (25-50 depending) I work out for an 1 and 30 min. once a week and try to do other exercises and stretches everyday but i don't know how to get rid of the fat on my hips. Please giive my excersises that work and tips or whatever. And if you have advice for abs besides sit-ups please tell me because i want faster results. Thanks :D
I think the only true way is by running/jogging/walking. Do this 30 mins. three days a week. And Im sure in a couple weeks youll see results.! =]
I'm 16/F and a cheerleader.
I took gymnastics when I was much, much younger and was pretty awesome if I do say so myself. But I quit and lost everything I once had.
I would really love to have my back handspring again, and i've been working with my local gymnastics instructor. (She was the one I had a while back too) The one problem i'm having with my backhandspring is going backwards, but i'm slowly but surely getting over it. I can do it with her spotting me easily, and i'm not struggling or anything.
As an estimate, how long would it take to get it again on my own?
Not Long at all. Have her only grab your shirt. That way you think shes there, but shes really not. And just focus on something infront of you and go and when you come up look at it again. Dont freak yourself out, thats the worse thing to do. Im sure youll have in atleast a month if you keep trying hard. I couldnt do gymnastics for a year bc i tore my ACL, first day back, I got it. If you were able to do it once before, youll be able to do it again!..
Okay im 13/f i need a way to loose a little belly fat b4 school starts im not fat but i have a little belly fat any quick ways i can get rid of it before next MONDAY!!??
run..
I'm not flexible at ALL and I really need to gain some flexibility.
Question is, how?
Please don't say yoga, I've tried it before and it's incredibly boring.
stretch everyday. Hold each stretch for 45 secs. And do a backbend. Now Find a wall face away from it, and bend back to touch the wall and walk yourself down as far as you can go. Even if its a little. Then walk it back up with your hands. I hope I help
Don't think i am talk9ing about stamina, because i have decent stamina but i have been told before that i have a wild, uncontrolled style of breathing when i run, i feel this is shaving off my full potential so what arethe proper ways and how can i improve
Try breathing in your with your nose and out of your mouth. I have BAD breathing as well, but im working on it. I hope I Helped
i want really flat sexy abs.
i tried doing situps but they are not really working. anyone have any advice on what i can do. i mean im not overweight. im 16, female, 5'6", 122lbs.
i just have love-handles and that pouch that all girls have.
i would really like to be more fit and i have a hard stomach its just not built or cut.
thank you so much!
before you even do crunches, you have to get rid of the fat over them. go walking/running/jogging 30 mins. 3 days a week. by just doing cruches your not getting rid of the fat over the abs.
