Weights are also a good idea as the more muscle mass you have the more calories you burn. I would recommend combining the two but be sure not to over do it. When I worked out with a trainer I started at 15 minutes of cardio and 10 of weights and worked up to doing 45 minutes of cardio and 15 of weights.
