Hey, I'm Elana... I'm 15 years old and I love to help people.. I know I know, everyone says that on this site, but I can be pretty good at giving advice sometimes. I'm into lots of sports, tennis, softball, and my new thing... Track, haha... I also dance, play piano (obviously) my saxophone (love it) and go online... A LOT! lol

Random stuff about me: I'm 5'1 and a 1/2".. I LOVE music..favorite bands are: switchfoot, green day, rooney, foo fighters, stone temple pilots, and any jazz music, my friends and family mean so much to me, things don't always go the way I want them to..(when does it ever work like that?) bowling rocks my world!! haha even if I suck! :) I'm extremely energetic and bouncy as my friends know, and I like to laugh, at anything...

Anyone know where I can buy a decent record player other than Ebay? I bought one off of there and it broke before the first song ended. Any web sites or store suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks!

A record player? what's that? no.. I'm just kidding.. Well my band teacher just broke his older one also and he said Best Buy and Circuit City sell them for a cheap price. (about $100) I want to get one too, actually, for my mom's birthday.. So try any electronics store, oh and amazon.com.. they have good stuff too.

hey, does anyone have any good ideas for a band name? theres like 4-5 s in it and all i thought of is "strength in scars" but it sounds kind of like my firends band so i dont think were gunna use it.. thanks so much [i'll give you credit or whatever if we do use it lol just give me your first name of somthing]

ok.. well I don't know the details of this, but maybe try combining all the singers names in the band.. or maybe find some really cool word backwards. haha or.. find a word in another language that means something. The word "Sometimes" in French, is Quelquefois.. ah I dunno I always thought that was a cool word... sorry if that wasn't much help! Good luck!

i dont know what to put this under but oh well, i like reading alot... and i have 8 or so new books upstairs in my bedroom i havent read. To you that might sound like a lot of books but beleive me they go by fast... and so recently my family has been broke... i mean like dead broke $5.00 broke! and when i finish all those books i think instead of buying books im just gonna go to the library... but i want to know some names of REALLY good books!!

Well it sorta depends on what books you're into.. My favorite book of all time is "Sabriel" by Garth Nix.. It's kind of a fantasy book I guess you could call it. There's also in that series "Lireal" which is also awesome and "Abhorsen" which I haven't read yet. You have to read them in the order I said though otherwise they won't make any sense... I also like "Wicked" It's about the life of the wicked witch in the wizard of oz, it's extremely long though.. Have fun reading! and good luck with your family problems...

One of my best friends cousin is a singer in the group "Fountains of Wayne" they're the one's that sang the stacey's mom song... lol and one of my other friends (cousin?) is a stylist for halle barry... ( or something like that) yeah but I don't really know them...lol

This is a REALLY stupid question but, do you know those iPod commercials where the silouette of people are dancing around...well anyway, there is this one song that they have been doin latley and it sounds really cool, BUT I DONT KNOW THE NAME!! its a kinda rock song and its really fast. I've been playing piano for a good number of years, but not as seriously as I would have liked. I'm 17 now, and really want to get better at piano but am not sure what to look for instructional-wise. While I've played the trumpet, I've never learned to read any music but the treble clef and am having a real hard time with it. I mainly just make up my own chords and get down and dirty banging on my piano. I love jazz, blues, classic rock - and I thought it'd help a lot more to get some sheetmusic of classic rock songs I already know. Anyone know of some good piano sheetmusic I can get my hands on?

I've also really started to get interested in bass guitar. I think it's awesome. I love many a song with a kick ass base line, and I want to learn more. I've mingled with the guitar slightly, It's basically a rearranged piano in my opinion, but had trouble with getting into it. It doesn't quite seem like the bass needs the same approach as a guitar does, though. My boyfriend has an old bass I could borrow. Anyone have tips?

I know what you mean.. I love to play piano too, but I really didn't practice enough or take it seriously the last few years. Fortunately I have an awesome music teacher who i take lessons with every so often and he's helped me come a long way.. Maybe you could check the ads in your local paper and find some teacher near you.

Good sheet music, huh? check out www.musicnotes.com ... it costs a little for each piece of music but it's really good. all you do is print the music off your computer! also i think there's www.sheetmusicplus.com (sorry if that's not the right link...) I use these things all the time!

Bass is awesome, I'm just getting into electric guitar and stuff.. have fun with all this, it sounds great!
