I'm a new young mom who has a lot of things to say to whomever is willing to listen :). I promise not to judge you no matter how crazy you may think your questions are and I will give the best answer I possibly can!
advice
So my girlfriend and I have been dating for 10 months now.
We hangout alot and we use to talk on the phone every night but now the last couple of months the talking on the phone has stopped. We still hangout alot.
but when we don't hangout we barely talk. We use to text alot and use to text to eachothe very good. But now it's like she isn't interested in talking to me. We are both 17, she pretty much just one words me or says 2 words but doesn't participate in the convo.
The other day she said our conversations get old, because i always ask the same thing. She never tries to start a conversation with me and she never asks questions or anything. But when I do see her other messages to other people she is more involved with them and participates better. I
What can i do to improve our texting?
It makes me feel bad and makes me feel unwanted. She has the attitude of she gets what she wants and she doesn't care. If it doesn't go her way she usually just ignores me which just hurts me more.
I don't think your problem is being "bad" at texting. I think your girlfriend is just starting to get bored which happens a lot in relationships that have lasted as long as yours. Doesn't mean she likes you any less.
However, you do have a right to feel the way you do. The best thing you can do to help both parties is to simply talk to her about it.
Start with: "I realize that we have been together a long time and I sometimes overuse topics, but sometimes it's nice just to hear from you when I'm not with you because I think about you a lot when I'm away." That way she feels special because you miss her and you will more than likely get more texts :)
