I'm a new young mom who has a lot of things to say to whomever is willing to listen :). I promise not to judge you no matter how crazy you may think your questions are and I will give the best answer I possibly can!

I have a best (guy) friend i have known since elementary school. We live in Tampa fl. We are both 13 and in 7th grade. He asked me out at the beginning of 7th grade. But I didn't like him like that. But now it's near the end of 7th grade and I'm like in love with him. He knows I like him. But since we are best friends we hang out alot. I've even been inside his house. But if we go out and break up we won't be friends anymore. Because he dated a girl that he had known for a while and then they broke up over something he won't tell me about. Now they are enemies and I don't want it to turn ot that way with us. So wat should I do. I have tried so many advice columns but none replied. Pleeeeeeease help.

The best way to approach this situation is my talking to your friend. You say he already knows that you like him, so the hard part is over. Just say something like "Look, you know I like you and to be honest, I want a relationship with you. But I just want to hear from you that if something were to go wrong between us, we'll remain friends" Also, before you talk to him ask yourself how much you like him and how much you're willing to risk to be with him.
