advice
Over the past year, I lost a bit of weight. Okay, maybe not a bit, approximately 40lbs. I do not weigh that much at all. I'm under 120. The thing is, I get a lot of comments & looks at school. I lost the weight in a healthy way. I was on a strict but good diet. I ate a ton of fruit & veggies, avoided extra fat/sugar, etc. The thing is people talk about me a lot. They always comment on how thin I am & make jokes about it. I do not find it funny. I know my friends & family are a bit concerned, but people at school are taking it a bit extreme in my opinion. At lunch time, my friends always watch what I eat. I get stared at by people from other tables. 'Anorexic' and 'Bulimic' was thrown at me a few times. It really frusterates me & is quite annoying. I don't understand why this is necessary. Not only do people joke with me about it, they talk about it behind my back with other people. They don't understand that it's actually embarrasing. Sometimes I feel like I'm getting more comments than girls who are overweight & I'm underweight. How can I avoid this?? I don't think I should have to hide myself in huge clothes because I don't want people saying anything. Especially when swimming in gym comes around. I want people to just drop it, but they don't. It's one thing to be concerned and another to talk about me for daily gossip, especially when the comments are rude. Any advice or suggestions?? Any opinions?? I know you aren't supposed to care about what people think or say, but it happens a lot & lunch has become a hard thing to do since everyone stares. I also don't want rumors going around. Thanks!!
Wow i'm really happy for you! i think it's really good that you did it in a healthy way...i admire that.
anyway, for people to stop talking about it, just don't let them see it get to you. they're just jealous that you did it and they can't and you look good and they don't.
i know it's hard to face everyone when they're all talking about you but they'll get over it soon enough...once they see that you do eat and don't have an eating disorder [or when sally slut hooks up with 10 guys at a party], people will forget about it or focus their attention to something else.
just hang in there... what you did is right and not uncommon so you're fine.
(Rating: 5) sally slut!! haha. thanks. good advice
