advice

Recently, while playing at gym, i sprained and dislocated my knee. I sprained it in 3 places. The doctor said I need surgery, so does anyone know how much it is going to hurt?

Im so scared=/

This happened to me last year. I actually did it while bowling (haha, yeah) I sprained my knee in 5 places and dislocated it and yada-yada. I ended up having surgery to fix it all.

First, they give you a medicine that numbs you and puts you to sleep. Once they are sure you can not feel anything and are un-concious, they begin the surgery. The do the surgery. Whent hey finish, and they sew you up and all that good stuff, they give you oxygen or you wake up yourself. You can't feel anything, so you won't be in pain. For a couple of hours you aren't in pain, but once the medicine wears off, it gets really painful. So, if you ask the doctor, they will give yo something to make it not hurt so bad. When you get home, you will either have a wheelchair or crutches. The pain is there, but not unbearable, and they give you a perscription for pain medicine. It hurts a lot, but you usually can take medicine to make it not hurt so bad.
