Q: Everyday when I get home, I know I should do homework. But I always find something else to do, like going on the computer, going outside, etc. I'm always up really late. One time I came home and started doing my homework, but my mind was jumping allover and I couldn't do it. Any suggestions?? Thanks and I rate 5's for good answers...
Ask your parents and friends for help - to remind you to go do your work right away. Maybe instead of going on the computer or doing something for a long time, shorten it down and limit yourself.

Write it down and keep a schedule that makes time for homework and try to stick to it. Give yourself a due time - that your homework has to be finished by a certain time - and you can only do homework from that time until the limit. Shorten your breaks to 5 minutes or less. Make sure you work where there is no distraction, such as people, radio, tv, phone, etc. So talk to the people you know, siblings, family, friends to help you by telling you that you need to do your work right away instead of other things or talking to them. Hope that helped and good luck.

P.S. - if you don't have one already, get a watch

thx

I really like giving advice, so thats why I have a column here. I've been inactive for a long time, but I'm back and will do my best to catch up. Advicenators is a great site and it is what we make it. Having my own advice column helped me learn a lot of new things, even about myself, while giving me the chance to help others along the way. Thanks.
