I've been working at a job for 5 months now. The job is okay, the people are nice, but I'm only making minimum wage. It would be nice to work somewhere part time and make 20 dollars an hour. Right now I work 25 hours a week and make 8 dollars an hour. Sometimes the job is strenuous, with a lot of lifting, unpacking, and pulling pallet jacks. I work in retail in the shoe and underwear department.
What kind of job could I apply for that I could make more money at? The skills have are: customer service, till training, stocking shelves, pricing, setting up displays, operating pallet jacks, and good work ethic. (Indeed)

It will likely depend on where you live currently. In Canada, you're making the current minimum wage and all, so I'll just pretend for the sake of clarity that you live in Canada (since it is what I know). If you live in a city that has high costs of living, like Toronto or the surrounding area, you can probably find some jobs upwards of 15$ an hour for hard work but few degrees/education etc. The key here is your education level. Many places simply won't pay over or well over minimum wage if you don't have the education. Someone already suggested Monster - give it a try. Also try Workopolis. As well, if you live in Canada, the government website has a job listing site. I don't think you'll be able to find a job for 20$ an hour and still be part time. If you do, I'd consider that an incredible and lucky situation. If you had computer training (formally) and something along the lines of database management you might be lucky to find something for 20$ an hour, but once again, it depends on your situation and where you live. Where I live, you basically can't get a job that isn't a fast food or restaurant setting or a retail store without a college or university degree. And even then the pay is not all that much more than minimum wage. If it helps put things into perspective, a dental hygienist, (who has gone through formal education, and paid upwards of 60,000$ for their dental training) can look to getting anywhere from 30 - 35$ an hour, possibly more depending on where they live. I just think you should look for less money, or you may be sorely disappointed.
Check out Workopolis, Monster and any government job site searches for job postings. It's all I do anymore because I am also on the job hunt.
