Q: Okay so I am inlove with this guy at my school. So much so that it hurts. He is a pretty shy mexican boy. He has been a friend of mine for about 4-5 months, but I only realized about two and a half months ago that I like him as more than just a friend, and ever since I have been falling more and more inlove with him. He and everyone at the school knows I like him. His brother is not at all shy and calls me future sister-inlaw and when other guys are messing around with me he tells them to leave me alone because I am his brothers lady, ect. Most of the mexican girls at my school don't want him to be with me cuz i am white or whatever, neways, at lunch and stuff he walks by me slowly by himself because he knows I will follow him and we talk but never about us in that way. I have two classes with him and one i sit right next to him and we laugh and talk like always have. But still never talk about us. It hurts so much seeing him there right in my grasp but I can't touch him. Loving him but not being able to tell him directly. Wanting him but not having him. I wish he wasn't so shy. All my friends say to make the first move and ask him out, but I dont want to be to eager. I have called him and we talk but my bestfriend was on the line too.(we are all pretty good friends) But I am too shy to call again. I am so confused and sometimes I think to myself what are you doing even trying it will never work, but then I think of how much worse it will hurt if I don't try. I am a very pretty girl and have a lot of friends and all so it isn't like I am a nerd and cant have him. There has never been someone I wanted and couldn't have which makes it even more painful cuz this hasn't happened before. Do you think he likes me and what should I do? I am going to see him tomarrow for the first time in like 4 days. Please tell me what you think I should do. Sorry it was so long

Oh yea he has a jealous mexican ex-girl friend but it is okay if she messes with me i will kick her ass. she sometimes gives me dirty looks and I give them back and yell what the f**k you looking at you dumb bitch and she gets scared and she should be. I don't take stuff from people no matter how big they are!.
A: Well, it sounds like you're self-confident enough to ask the boy out. He seems really quite shy, though he's trying to give you signals that he likes you too. Just bring up the subject of you two going out/dating/whatever next time you talk to him.
I'm sure he wants to ask you out, but he's so shy and scared of rejection that he doesn't want to reach out. You give the impression of being a very confident, pretty, and popular girl--that scares alot of boys witless. Make the first move! He won't say no, and most likely, he'll be relieved that you asked him first.
His ex-girlfriend shouldn't really matter as long as she's not hanging all over him all the time. I mean, there's no point in even talking to her if she gives you dirty looks--she's just trying to tempt you to do something stupid. Be the better woman and ignore her. Believe me, if she's ignored, she'll see her crap has lost its fun and she'll stop.
