About chaos

It's another crazy year in my world of entropy. I am engaged now and very excited. It will be a little while before we can get married due to money constraints, but it will happen.
I like things simple. I hope to give honest and useful advice. I don't believe in giving answers just to get good feedback. 98% of all questions put in my inbox will be answered. The only ones I don't answer are those too young to be here or too obscene/disrespectful. I don't know everything, but I think I can help a lot.

This is an odd situation. Just for a little background info, I have a boyfriend. I've been dating him for over a year. Valentine's day will be 15 months.
Okay, I just got the lead in the school musical, and I have a love interest (duh). My love interest is a guy half the girls in the choir have had a crush on (except me, lol). That isn't really the point, just a bit of background.
My problem is this: We rehearsed, and we ended up practicing a scene in which we kiss. I didn't feel bad about it yesterday, but today I feel like...awkward, and wrong, and like I was cheating on my boyfriend, but it wasn't me that consented to the kiss, it was my character. My boyfriend knows about the scene, but he doesn't know we actually kissed yet. I was gonna talk to him about it today but he didn't come to school.
The thing is, the director thinks stage kisses look fake, and refuses to use fake kisses. So it was real. But I feel soooo bad about it. I shouldn't, because I have no feelings for the guy, but I do.
Any advice for me?

If it felt real, you were probably doing a good job. Don't over rehearse it. Be absolutely sure not to neglect your boyfriend during this time because his friends will probably give him a really hard time about it. Bake extra cookies, call him on the phone, whatever. It is just a play, and that is part of your character. You are just acting. If your boyfriend isn't bothered by it, you have a keeper.

(Rating: 5) I talked to him today about it, and it really bothers/ed me more than it bothered him...lol. You're right about not neglecting him, though. I'll keep an eye on that. Thank you. =)
