**** I've been gone quite a long time. However I'm still breathing though it's touch and go. Don't expect me to answer or check in much. ****Welcome to the junkdrawer that is my brain! I know something about many things, and I if I don't know it, I admit that I don't know. That I am constantly finding things I know nothing about and correcting that ignorance keeps me busy and happy. More junk for the drawer.
I love and have experience with many types of animals, including the human. I don't offend easy and I am generally cynical and a smart-butt. I love to drive, read, work on the computer and I spend WAY too much time watching Anime and bidding on ebay.
advice
im asking this question for my friend...
one year ago, when my friend and her family were away, some little girl was walking through the alleyway. my friend's neighbor's dog is really big and scary, so the little girl ran, and jumped my friend's fence to hide from the dog, and as a result, broke her arm and needed surgery.
one year later, my friend's parents get a letter in the mail saying that they will be getting sued because it happened on their property. IT'S NOT EVEN THEIR FAULT. can they fight against this?
Yes. They can fight it. It is actually the dog owner who is supposed to pay I think. That is if their dog was not on a leash or chain. However, I am not an expert. Your friends parents need a lawyer to look over the case.
is it ok to still use a tampon if u have a yeast infection?
It's really not a good idea.
will your tampon leak if you pee while wearing one?
No. The pee hole is close to the vagina, but they are not attached. There is no problem.
two year old is left with babysitter cries when mother leaves and continues to cry during the day, wont drink or eat, always quiet and to herself.
What is the question? I'd talk to the parent, but the 2nd year is called terrible 2s for a reason. I don't have enough experience to say if this is normal, but I know children become extremely attached to a parent. If the mother is just starting a new job or has gotten new hours and the child is not used to the mother being away that could cause a big part of the problem. I took care of my aunt's daughter when she started back to work. If the baby saw her mother leave, she was inconsolable for HOURS. If she didn't, thing went much smoother.
my b/f is such a jerk he only cares about himself. He calls me names and screams at me. He used to push me around. I can never be mad im always the wrong one. He allways says the meanest things. I go through so much at home and he dont care he still calls me names and says he hates me.
Why are you still with him? Dump his sorry ass. You can do better. You are worth more. Just because your home is bad and you can't get away from it does not mean you have to punish yourself with an abusive man. Him you can do something about. You deserve happiness and care. THAT is what a boyfriend should offer you. Don't settle for less. DUMP HIM! Realize you are worth someone's love and attention. Much love and support!
when should a kid have sex
A KID should not have sex. Although, the actual age when sex is right is different for everyone. Just because a person wants sex doesn't mean they are ready. They need to understand the things that can happen and be able to judge the risk against the pleasure. A kid is not able to do that. If it feels good it is good for a kid, but the brain must be as much a part of responsible sex as the rest of the body. If it is not then having sex is not right, it is stupid, dangerous, and not at all worth the few minutes of feeling good. It is far better to wait.
I have a friend who recently started taking the antidepressant drug Prozac. The doctor told her she had post dramatic stress disorder and should take this. She didn't want to take it at all but her mom forces her 2 and watches her every move when she takes it. Since she's been taking this medicine(which has been about 3 weeks) she's been having severe chest pains, migraines, constant vomiting, loss of weight (20 pounds), and muscle spasms 2. I think she's going to become addicted to the drug soon if they don't take her off of it and become to the point where her body won't be able to live without it. I don't know what to tell her to do because she's just out of options. Any advice at all would go along way. Thanks
Let me set your mind at ease. Prozac is not addictive. I have a terror of becoming addicted to anything (it runs in my family). I had a long conversation with my doctor about this when I was put on Prozac. Also, I was married to a man with PTSD. The symptoms your friend are having are consistant with severe anxiety disorder and PTSD. It takes up to three months for the full effects of Prozac to begin and that time period is every rough. Your friend will have changes in dosages depending on how the drug effects her through this time period. Also my husband was on three different drugs for his PTSD. If your friend can be helped by Prozac, it will be so much better than the narcotic and other drugs my ex was forced to take to treat his problem. Her mother is right to keep a close eye on your friend. My ex attempted suicide 3 times before we married because of his PTSD. It is a miserable soul distroying disorder. All you can do is be supportive and tell her to talk to her doctor as candidly as she can about how she is feeling and how the Prozac is effecting her.
Hey, Im 15/f and I have been having some problems with my breasts> (Yeah, I'm sorry...it's sorta ugh). Anyways, recently my breasts have started to hurt. It's not major pain or anything or severe. They've just been feeling like their stretching or something.... Also if it helps, I'm not exactly well- endowed right now....Thank you so much! ~West
It's called growing pains. You are stretching or something. Don't worry, unfortunately there is nothing that can help the ache. Just time.
Hi all i had a misscarriage april last year and ever since we have been trying for a baby but no luck it is a year later now.. i am due my period but am 5 days late i had few cramps that been coming and going and have very sore boobs more then normal but i dont know wat to do i took a test 2 days after i missed but was negative please help me i would like sum advice thankyou..
clairesie. x
I would go to my gynocologist. You need to tell them your concerns, and they can give you a blood test that will be able to confirm your hope. With your history, it is very important that you have medical attention throughout ALL phases of your pregnancy. May God bless you and fullfill your dream.
okay well im 15/f and i was reading my Cosmo magazine and they had some sex tips or whatever and so it was like talking about spooning and how good it is or whatever. and i dont wanna sound stupid but what the heck is spooning??? i wanna know!!! i rate high =) THANKS FOR THE HELP!!! ;)
Spooning a is a cuddle position usually done after sex or by couples who sleep in the same bed. It is called spooning because the posistion looks very much like how spoons are kept in a drawer. One partner holds the other's back against their chest with all parts along the body touching (often both partners in a fetal posistion). This is good because it is a loving and protective gesture usually found in couples who share a very close bond, like love. Even without sex spooning can be a wonderful expression of caring and comfort. Hope this clarifies it for you.
Zap,
Ok, I got these two questions in my inbox. You can look at my answers, but man she needs to give the idiot some space.....What do you think? (I did answer them).
heyy.. me and my b/f are on a break because he doesnt think that I trust him but I do.. we got in a huge fight and blah blah blah.. How can I prove to him that I do trust him?
no, you see there's this website that is a myspace thing and he was leaving girls comments that looked like he was flirting but they were inside jokes and i over reacted A LOT and got us into a fight this whole week so he doesnt think i trust him now.. and i have to prove to him that i do trust him.. but idk how to. because i do trust him a lot
I agree with you. I think the main problem is that these two are just too young and inexperienced. I also think the boyfriend doesn't believe she can trust him because he isn't trustworthy. I think he's done something and is projecting his guilt on her. Plus she's just protesting too much. I don't think she trusts him either. Good Luck with her, glad she's not one of mine.
Ok. So when did I become Holier than Thou? At first I thought I was just being candid, and now I feel like I am being a jerk for jerk's sake. Could you tell me what you think? I am turning into the idiots I went to school with.
D, you are going through a phase of religious furvor. You have just gone through a very important stage in your faith. Also, with the Pope's death you are no doubt feeling overzelous in your grief. (Not sure if you'd call it that exactly, but that's the closest equivilant I can think of.) Be patient with yourself. Those of us who know you love you and understand. You'll settle down.
i brush my retainer every day. it still ends up smelling like crap somehow.. my mom called my ortho, and they said to use the stuff that you put dentures in.. i did that, and it still smells bad! does anyone know something good that will get the nasty smell away from my retainer?
Make a paste out of baking soda and water, put it on your retainer. Instead of using water to brush the paste off use vinegar. You will probably need to brush it with your regular toothpaste afterward to get rid of the vinegar taste, but the smell will be gone.
well, advicenators i had already put this question
well i have completed M.SC ( master of science) in Life sciences-biotechnology this month. and i would like to pusue an mba degree, but i am confused which faculty to taske either
a-mba in marketing which is about pretending
b- mba in hrhuman resources, i love it
c- mba in hospital management which is also very good.
now tell which to choose for, and is a prior job experience an added advantage for pursuing mba.
i invite alll the people to give advice, but, but, i should good and intellectual, no stupids and looneys are invited.
thank u
If you love human resources that is the area to choose. Here are my reasons: It takes a special person to work in human resources and not get burned out like an elementary school teacher. Human resource experts are always in high demand for the reason I just stated. With an MBA you can get a high level job in a high paying career. Plus I am quite certain you could find a job in some kind of biotech company where both of your degrees with be utilized. Enjoy!
About a year ago, my nephew started to steal things. He stopped doing it after he stole a hundred dollar bill from my brother-in-law. We called a police man in to ... "threaten" him. His real mother is an ex-convict, and she called him around easter. All of the sudden, he is theiving again. We think she triggered his rebellious side. I think that he thinks he'll impress his mother by acting like her. She says she's coming over this summer, and our family is worried. My family is baffled on what we should do now. We've grounded him to his room yet somehow, he manages to still theive. We know it's him, because we've caught him in the act several times. We're sending him to church now, to see if it will shape him up a bit. But he's taking it as a punishment. If we don't do something soon I'm afraid that he'll turn out like his mom. And that's nothing an aunt wants for her nephew. I need help, I don't want him to end up in jail by the time he's eighteen.
I'm thinking you may need to discuss this with his mother. Dispite the errors she's made in her life, she may really want her son to be a respectable adult. If she is completely hopeless, them the boy needs counceling. He's having a crisis of some sort, but I'm not a professional and can't tell if he is going for self-distructive behavior, attention grabbing, or just trying to prove to himself that he is his mother's child. Being separated from a parent can cause all kinds of anxieties and confusion for a child regardless of that parent's suitablity to provide care and guidance. No, church is not the answer if he thinks it's a punishment. All that "the wages of sin" and "sins of the father" crap will only make things worse by stripping him of any self-worth the boy has left. If he is seeing his attendance as punishment he will never even understand that the "who so ever beliveth in him" and the Father's forgiveness or even "he who has not sinned" is also meant for him. He will see only his flaws and not the means to correct them and grow. Good Luck, and however angry or disappoined you become, don't forget that you love him and don't let him forget it either!
I've been sick for the past 2-3 days and I don't know what I have. My throat hurts really bad (but it feels like its more my tonsils). And the back of my neck is hurting really bad also, like a really bad headache, and then I also have a normal headache. I get dizzy and then I feel like vomiting. And last nite my nose was really stuffy. What do you think I have? Its mostly my throat.
It really sounds like strep throat to me, or a serious sinus infection. You need to seek medical attention. Leaving strep without medication can damage your heart, a sinus infection that bad can get in your bones and cause serious pain and suffering. See an Ear Nose and Throat specialist ENT. Good luck, feel better soon!
Hi ive been finding it really hard to sleep for the last few days, can anyone give me some advice on how i might be able to get a few hours at least of sleep thank you..
ill rate hight for good answers
This is coming from a chronic insomniac: I can't sleep because my brain won't shut off. I've tried long drives, alcohol, sleeping pills(useless), chamomile tea, warm milk, chocolate, pasta, turkey, reading, chatting online, and damn near anything else you can think of. What has worked best for me however is a CD called Aqua Neuva by a latin artist named Christian (given to me by an ex-roomate in college). I don't know Spanish so I'm not distracted from sleep by thinking about the lyrics, it's soft music and the man has a pleasant, smooth voice. I don't why it works when nothing else does. Good Luck!
ok i hate showering and bathing, cd players never help, rubberdickies annoy the living hell out of me and scents give me headaches? i never feel good in the bath/shower, please help me!
You don't have to feel good about taking a bath or shower. Most people do find them relaxing, but essentially they are needed to keep you clean and healty. Just hop in, scrub well, rinse, and hop out. As long as you are able to withstand them enough to remain socially acceptable, I don't see that you need to worry too much. If it becomes too troublsome, see a therapist. Amatuer pyscology here, that kind of avoidance usually has a root in something tramatic. Good luck!
a lot of people keep coming up to me and asking me if i'm anorexic. i'm starting to thing i am now. people always tell me how skinny i am, but i think i'm fat. and i'm obsessive over what i eat, and i always weigh myself.
it's my stomach i don't like. when i stand up and squeeze my stomach there's like 2 inches of fat! is that normal?! =(.. i feel so fat. i want to try to have NO fat there. does anyone know any good exercises to get rid of that fat?
so i have 3 questions:
-do you think i might be anorexic?
-is all that fat normal? you can compare me to a normalish stomach or whatever, i don't care.
-what are some good exercises to get rid of that fat?
Anorexia nervosa is a psycological body image problem. You are showing signs of BECOMING anorexic, but I don't think you are. You eat, you are just obsessive over what you eat, that's not such a bad thing. The constant weighing IS an issue though. Your body image should be more in how you feel, not really how much you weigh. Did you realize that a huge percentage of those skinny models are actually concidered obese? It's not because the weigh too much, it's because they have a high percentage of body fat compared to their weight. So weight isn't everything. Now to help with your tummy? It sounds to me as though you need to join a gym if you can. Many have good programs with staff that can help you target your problem areas, like belly flab. Ab workouts and crunches should help, but you may need to eat more to help build the muscles once you start exercising. Luck!
