I bought a new laptop recently and it had a free 60 day trial of Office Vista on it. The free trial ran out so I uninstalled it then tried to install Office XP from a cd I got with my last computer but I had lots of trouble, with it saying I did not have permission from the administrator (which is me anyway...) Eventually my boyfriend helped me out and got it installed after about 30 minutes of trial and error. The thing is, now I want to be able to help my sister do the same thing (my boyfriend doesn't remember what he did, seeing it was pretty much random things here and there until it started working). She lives on the other side of the world so we can't go over and help her, I'd have to email her instructions. Long question, but I'm basically asking, do you know an easy way to change Office Vista to Office XP while keeping it on Windows Vista OS? Thanks in advance :D
I'm pretty sure it was just a fluke that it wouldn't easily install for you, Microsoft says Office XP works on Vista. It should install fine on any administrator account. If your sister has trouble with it, you can give her my contact info and I'll help her.

So, I just opened a bulletin that a contest site posted and they were advertising a layout site. Anyway, it has like a layout type background and a song playing. My question is how do you have a background and a song playing for a bulletin?

Note that most parts of a premade myspace profile layout *will not* work in a myspace bulletin. This is because the elements of the page have different names, and are in different places. The layouts would need to be completely re-done to work in a bulletin.

If the cd is a CD-RW, then you just write over it with anything. Fill it up with your favorite music and the old data will be erased. If it's a CD-R, you can't. You need to physically destroy the disk. **DangerNerd informs me that disks contain poisonous chemicals. Sorry I recommended microwaving it :( . Other ways of ruining disks are acid, sanding the surface, and melting.**

Everyone here is going to use the same tools you used with Google. The optimal weight for you would be 118lb, underweight is less than 97.894lb(which explains the confusion, what a site tells you depends on how it rounds this number. I used the actual BMI algorithm, so I'm able to give you the decimal.), overweight is more than 131lb. If your bones aren't sticking out, you're probably fine.

It's a free trial, after 30 days(or 14, I can't remember) it stops working. It won't mess up your computer. I recommend the GIMP, which is a free alternative to Photoshop:

when i right click the desktop and try to change my desktop under the "desktop" tab (of course), basically everything is disabled in grey.
facts about the problem:
- the only things i can do are pick a color (which is what my whole desktop is), and use the "customize desktop" feature, which doesn't help anything.
- i've tried scanning for possible viruses, and searched around for a solution, because i'm pretty computer-knowledgeable, but couldn't find anything.
- the desktops don't show up when i try to choose a "theme", either.
anyone know what i can do to get my desktop back?

I recently made a video on Windows Movie Maker and was wondering if there was anyway to change the format that it gets saved in so that I would be able to upload it to YouTube, Photobucket, or Tinypic. I tried going to 'save as' and changing the format but that wasn't an option, does anyone have an idea about how I could be able to do so?

Hey,
So I'm the one whose had that problem where I can't see my icons or toolbar; and now I'm pretty sure we're going to have to completly restore my computer to the beginning for some reason. (I'm not sure why, the guy on the phone who was helping from some computer place said we'd be able to).
I know that in regular restorations, pictures and other files are not lost, but I think the guy said I'd have to put my pictures onto something if I wanted to save them.
So, I know there are those things you use to hold files, but I'm not sure what they're called, or how much they cost/where I can get them.
In face, I'm not entierly sure my pictures will be deleted.
This just means ALOT to me, mainly because of the pictures. I've gone through two cameras, both costing a few hundreds of dollars, and I've got TONS of pictures, so I don't want all of that money and everything to go to waste. :(
But yea, any help would be appreciated. Basically any answer to any of the described problems would be amazing. :)

You only get 2GB of free storage. Pictures shouldn't take up that much, so if you go over your quota, uncheck other categories from mozy's options, and manually back them up by uploading them to megaupload( http://megaupload.com ). The device you're probably thinking of is a USB flash drive, but this method is superior.
The technical support person probably wants to reformat your computer, which will certainly delete all of your data.
