hi all, i have a ups tracking number and it was issued to me 24 hours ago on a saturday, well the person who sent it to me said he shipped it at a local ups store, its now sunday and no ups tracking information is showing up on the website, but when i go to iship.com it does. here is the tracking number 1ZW299E60334459052 thanks and i apprechate it! UPS tracking is usually pretty reliable in my experience, which leads me to think something is a bit off on the whole situation.
The fastest way to resolve this is to contact UPS directly:
1-800-PICK-UPS
... They have an automated assistant program which you can bypass by saying "customer service."
When you figure it out, would you tell me in feedback what the problem was? I am very curious about this. The only time UPS tracking failed was when the person didn't really send it when they said they did.

she died the day we went to take her to the vet after dinner no more than 20 mins we went back and she died. it was a little to late i guess.. she will be missed forever .. (link)

Please, the next time you have a pet in obvious distress, treat them like they are a small child who has only you to look to for help.
On the bright side, she doesn't hurt anymore, and she sounded like that would be something that she would like... to be free of pain.

I have a six year old dog, who is refusing to eat, she is barely drinking. She will not walk on her own, as her body is very weak. She is vomiting, and has thrown up blood. She will randomly shake, and she is loosing weight only in her neck area, and legs. Yet, she has not shown any sign of pain.
Can anyone tell me what may be wrong with her, or even what would cause these things? (link)

This is deadly serious business for your dog. Dogs don't say "ouch" unless they are being stepped on usually, but trust me when I say that vomiting over a long enough period to lose weight and throwing up blood don't feel very good.
The only answer that can be given to you is this: Take your dog to the vet... today. Tomorrow may be to late to have her make a full recovery.
It could be anything. She could have been poisoned by something, have parasites or be otherwise near death.
If you care about this puppy dog at all, please take her to the vet.
If it was you with these symptoms... YOU would want someone to take care of YOU, right? Well it falls to you to take care of your doggy.
Please, when you leave feedback, let me know what the vet said and how she is doing.

I just purchesed a new graphics card at future shop.(its a steal! its so cheap!)
Its a BFG GeForce 7300 GT 512MB PCI-Express Video Card. However after the purchase I noticed it requires a minimum of 350 watts of power(my power supply has a max output of 300)
As I have consulted you in the purchese of my computer, you already know its a dell inspiron 518(incase you need that info)
I found a GXT VGA Booster 400 Watts Power Supply
at futureshop.ca
I read on the forums there that this functions as a second power supply Exclusivley for my graphics card and takes up residence in my second dvd bay(which is empty, I don't mind losing the space)
My question is, Is it a good product? also, would I actually be able to plug my card into it somehow? it doesn't have a cable to connect to the power supply, so I assume it takes power from the mother board?
Sorry if I am wrong, as you can obiously tell, im new to hardware.

That is a good price on that card, and the card should play most things at a decent frame rate.
Keep an eye on the stock cooling system that comes on the BFG GeForce 7300 GT 512MB PCI-Express Video Card. If you have any trouble out of it, you may want to install an aftermarket cooling fan/system.
As for the GXT VGA Booster 400 Watts Power Supply from futureshop, I think it is a great idea! One problem: You probably aren't running enough video card horsepower to merit that dedicated video card power supply.
If you were running an SLi rig with 2 or more BFG GeForce 7300 GT 512MB PCI-Express Video Cards, I would then consider the GXT VGA Booster 400 Watts Power Supply a good option.
It is important to remember that it is less efficient than one single high efficiency power supply, which means higher energy costs as well as a cluttered case.

I don't understand your last question fully. Does that GeForce 7300 GT 512MB PCI-Express not have a power jack on the card? There should be one unless BFG went cheap. If it has one, you would plug the obvious cable into it. If it doesn't, then a dedicated power supply for your video card is completely pointless since you would have no way to plug it into your video card. :-)
If that is the case, the debate is over... just buy a better power supply for your main system power supply and be happy.

You are dealing with software from 1999. That DLL is just about extinct.

Someone may have the old DLL laying around. I would think you would be able to use a more updated version of the same library. Example: MSVBVM60.DLL instead of MSVBVM30.DLL. Some modifications might be needed.
If you still have your XP machine, you could copy the file to your new machine. I searched my machine, and didn't find it installed.

I recently obtained (don't ask) Dream Theater's complete discography. The only song I've heard was In the Name of God, off of Train of Thought, and that was in my friend's car. It was effing incredible. I've read up on Dream Theater and their albums so I know a fair amount about their critical reception and such.
So, I have every album by Dream Theater, and I do not want to dive right in and explore; I would like to know a certain route to take. Earliest to latest, latest to earliest, etc. Anyone that is pretty well versed in the band I would love to have hear from. (I don't want any 'eyy i don't listen to them buutttt with fall out boy...', just actual listeners.) Thank you! (link)

I thought SURELY several people would have answered this by now or I wouldn't have delayed.
Earliest to latest. No question at all, especially with Dream Theater. Listening to Mike Portnoy grow into the drummer he has become would be my main reason, were I to embark on the adventure you propose.
Now, I don't mean to bone-pick here... but are you SURE you have the complete Dream Theater discography covered? If you have everything commercially released, then you aren't even close to having the complete album list.
The bootleg tapes have been passed around for 20 years. Some were getting impossible to find in listenable condition.
Remember that they were "Majesty" before they were "Dream Theater." With this in mind, if you don't have the "Majesty Demos" you don't really have a starting point. You will be coming into the Dream Theater story way later than you might want.

Theres this guy named Trevor and i only get to see him on the bus and he's been talking to me alot latley but not like excessivly like friends. but when he gets in the bus he smiles and looks at me as he passes my seat (he sits in the back i sit in seat like 16 or 17 idk)
and he makes weird noises so ill look back at him and stop when i do then resumes... and hes always looking at me...ANDDDD well he works at this little store called bloom one day i go with my mom and to my surprise as i walk in HE"S at one of the counters!!!!
i dont look at him just go on my way and then we get to the check out line he turns around and quickly says hi1 i had no idea what to do so i made a weird face and he says you ride my bus rite??? and says hi again! so i say a akward sounding hi....well yesterday my mom goes by herself and she goes to his register and he waves to her to and its not like he waves to everyone but he waved to her....which is ummmm...different i guess lol but cuteish! well i just wanna know if yall think he like me or thinks im cute or what....and also how to seem more mature but playful at the same time because like every other junior he thinks freshman are immature..... oh yea he has a girlfriend but he dosent seem to intersted

Hi, i have purchesed a new computer without a moniter. I have a good moniter on my older computer and a spare(crappy) windowws 98 moniter. my thoghts were that i could save money and use the newer screen for the new computer and the older screen on the older one.
but when i plugged it in i was amazed, it was bigger and wasnt total crap!
but heres the problem, the screen will be fine for like 30 seconds then the indicator light will flash between green and orange like its going on stand by while making a loud clicking sound.
Can I fix it? Or is it time for the trash =( (link)

Hi there,
Older CRT monitors suffer from a number of problems that are more expensive to repair than they are worth. The usual suspect is old, dried out electrolytic capacitors. Before we go there though, let us see about making sure we give your Samsung SyncMaster 955 SL a fair trial.
If your refresh rate is set too high, you can have a situation where the monitor will shut down after a few seconds. Even if you don't think it is too high, and the refresh rate might not have been too high when you bought it, it might be now.
For example: I have seen a monitor capable of 75hz refresh only be able to keep sync at 70hz or lower after a few years on the job.
Here is what I would do to narrow things down: Set your display variables to something you KNOW the monitor should be able to handle:
1024x768
60hz
... If it still freaks, it is probably done for.
One way to really make sure is to set the video on the new machine to those tame settings, and then hook the old monitor to the new machine.
If it does the same thing on both machines, you have pretty much exhausted your options with that Samsung Sync-Master 955 SL which you have been trying to give a new life.

I KNOW the site is fine. This comes up on certain topics only such as sex, mental health and not all. Maybe it's my settings but it pops up constantly. It would make other people question being logged on here. Thought I would forward it to your attention. (link)

When calculating postage online, even if you are only calculating the shipping rates to Canada from the US, it can sometimes be confusing. The calculator that the other user provided is a good start, but if you really want to be sure about the weights and dimensions, the best thing to do is head to your local post office, and they will sort out your Canadian shipping questions in under 60 seconds, most likely.

ok here i go well i am using application its called freegate and i use it at school to do things on the internet and well ok i believe the program encrypts every site but not sure but any way if my school does a land line scan on all the sites i have been to will those sites show up while i was using the application hope you can help (link)

... If that is 100% accurate, I couldn't say, but I can think of one thing which hasn't been addressed: The use of key-loggers. No matter how cool Freegate might be, if your school has a key-logger on every machine, then they could see what you typed in to get where you were going.
Other than that, freegate looks fairly good in light of the purpose for which it was intended.
Any further questions will probably be better asked on the Freegate help and support forums.
