Q: im still pondering about what to get my boyfriend for valentines day before I put it off until the last minute...any cute suggestions?

Q: OK i had a boyfriend but he was a geek and i think i am pritty good looking but none of the guys i know think that i am . and i never get anything from the guys from school and i have blond hiar (long dirty blond) i have blie eyes and i am athletic and i love animals i have some and i just need some advise. how can i get guys to like me?

Theres really no way you can get a guy to like you. At the teen years, you have to be something you aren't (slut activities). But you just have to be yourself and wait until a guy notices what a nice girl you are, and you didn't have to describe they way you look, its not about that (for teen guys it is) but for you it shouldn't be, and I know its hard to not feel liked by boys, I am a quiet girl, thats why I'm not noticed, I think I look alright but I'm not out there and loud, thats a way to put yourself in the dating world just don't over do it.

Q: i'm 13(male). my brother is 10(male).

i've shared a room with him since the day he was born. when i was 7 or 8, we switched to bunk-beds. the ladder up to the top is prety much the only place of privacy i have, other than the bathroom. my family isn't the richest in the world, but we're in a pretty good financial situation compared to others (my mom is a college professer, my dad is a newswriter). my question is, am i selfish for asking for my own room. we've been searching for about a year give or take, and have been outbid in 3 situations so far. currently we're in the midst of bidding.

sometimes i do feel selfish, because my parents are slightly older, and i feel that i'm taking away too much of their retirement funds. (this isn't exactly all for me, the neighborhood we're in now is pretty bad for them, for ex: my view from my room is at my neighbors dark green pool, 10 feet away, and theirs noise pollution from the other side from a stupid bird, which drives my parents nuts.) so am i asking for too much?

Its not selfish, its just wanting some privacy, you're older and you just want a room you can go to when things get rough and you just wanna be left alone, thats perfectly ok. Just explain that to your parents, tell them you just want some space of your own and ask them if they would at least give it a day to think about it.

Q: I know that it's a while away, but it's already starting to worry me. I asked my parents where they wanted me to go to high school and they told me about this private school. And since I already go to one, I really wanted to go to a public high school. So it made me mad. I don't know how to convince them. And they said that the place I wanted to go wasn't their first choice out of the public high schools. None of my friends will go to the private school, most of them will go to the one I want to go to. And there's tons more reasons. How do I convince them? It's a big issue and we argue about it every day. Can anybody help?

Tell them its important to you that you have your good friends with you, and be calm about it, don't shout or yell, just explain to them how important this is to you, and even if you don't end up going to a public school, just try to think of it as a good concentration to keep your grades up, and you'll still make good friends probably.

Q: A bunch of my friends cut themselves..but for no reason..they just do it because they want attention and they want people to feel sorry for them. They always talk about how depressed they are and how much life sucks for them, and it's not true at all. Because one friend started to cut herself, the other friend started too as well, and now another one is on the verge of cutting herself. They all do it for attention and I'm positive of that, and they drive everyone crazy. I'd like to just not be friends with them anymore but I don't want to see them get hurt, and they won't listen to anyone when theyre told to stop. What should I do to make them realize how stupid they're being without actually giving them the attention that they're cutting themselves for? If they're given the attention they're cutitng themselves for, then they'll just do it again. If we all just ignore them, they could seriously hurt themselves.. please help. Thanks.

If you have already tried talking to them, then just let them see what big mistake they're making, or tell their parents, I know you don't want to see them get hurt, but you have already tried that, so you might as well let them trip over what you warned them about, or you can just quit being friends with them, especially if this is for attention, show them they have less of your attention now that they have cut.

Q: lately i feel like my freind doesnt wanna make any effort to thang out with me and quite frankly i dont know how to deal with that. We've been tight for about 3- 4 years already and it always feels like she never makes any effort to hang ot. I get the vibes that her parents dont like me for some reason and are in a way influencing her.. ITs like a big deal whenever we wanna hang out and usually it never bothered me so much but now im just so irritated with everything. I include her so much and its just like "Whatever" from her...what am i suppose to do. I tried talking to her about it and she reassures me that we're bestfreinds and always will be..but somthing doesnt feel right> Part of me doesnt even know why im posting. No one can tell me anything that i havent told myself i just feel so lost....i dont want to lose her, but i have feeling like 2nd best to whatever she mite be hiding from me..?

Well, the only way you can find out something from someone is talking to them, and shes obviously very special to you, just take a day, and ask her if shes busy, and if shes not, tell her its an emergency that you need to talk to her and ask her whats going on, be calm with her, just try to be gentle with her because there might be something going on.

I'm not sure if hes ready for a relationship, if hes that shy, I think when he gets older he'll be better about your relationship, so maybe you should find someone else or wait until you guys are older.

If you're asking whether you should tell you parents and ex boyfriend? its a big fat yes. your mom is the one who you really need right now, hes going to be the one that will support you, and she will, don't worry, you just need to tell her as soon as you can, if you're reading this and you havn't told her, please do it now, you'll feel better once you get it out, please. and you and your mom can plan out what will happen, to be honest I certainly hope you have the baby.

Q: i have trouble getting boyfriends. i mean all my friends tell me that im outgoing, funny, and pretty..but its like the boys dont see those qualities in me. i mean i act no different around boys than i do girls but its just wierd. and whenever a guy does like me i feel like he doesnt really like me because my self-esteem, when it comes to guys, isnt very high. what should i do?

If you're a young teen (13,14,15...) most guys your age don't look for those qualities unfortunatly. They are about the looks, the personality, if you're popular, if you're bad, naughty and sexy, stuff like that. And actually this story reminds me of myself, my best friend wasn't prettier than me (thats what everyone else says) and I was just so confused with why she was getting all the guys, and people always told me it was because shes loud, and she makes sure shes heard, so if you got a little more social (if you already aren't) then you'd get more attention probably, but don't overdo it by being rude and trying to impress people, just be yourself, it does you so much good.

Q: I started going out with this guy a couple of weeks ago. But he doesn't go to my school, and we hardly see each other b/c we're both 15 and neither of us get our liscence till April. My parents never drive me anywhere, the only time I really get to see him is at church. And thats not much fun. I mean we can't talk much. Well, if its what you should do as in should you break up with him or not? Yes, because you don't like this kind of relationship, you need someone there, or if this question is how should I break up with him? Well, its not gonna be too hard, I'm sure he could be feeling the same way, or you guys can just want until that liscence come around if you're really into him.

Its really hard to know, but you can feel like you're deeply in love with somebody, but most of the time you end up being wrong, I guess its mostly about how you feel, and some people just say that when the time comes, you will know, but I guess we'll hve to wait until the time comes.

well, 14 isn't an age where girls come out about their sexuality, unless I'm missing out on something lol, but if there is a girl you know, you can be her friend first and try not to rush things, and if you don't know anyone, then you should wait until later, I know it sucks to hear, but it will probably be better.

Q: my boyfriend broke up with me because he said he idd'nt have time for a girlfriend school and training. So he broke up with me and was realyl rude about it saying all I did was care about myself and I was self centered. But yet last night he had girls over at his house. I'd wait, please wait, unless you want to lose your friend, don't do it until you find if they both like each other, but if hes over her and your friend isn't over him, you shouldn't date him, or your friend will be gone.

Q: Well i've been dating my boyfriend for about 2 months. He has had sex before and I havent (15/f). For the past couple of days I have really been thinking if i want to do it or not. Even if you lead him on, its ok to say no to something you don't like being done to you, thought I'd let you know that before I begin.

Alright, anyway 15 is a young and scary age to be thinking about sex, so it is normal to not be ready and to be totally confused, but I'm thinking that you should tell him that leading on thing was like a thought that you were ready, because you're only thinkin of see, but not doing it, so I'm thinking that all of this stuff about leading him on was that you thought you were ready, and he will understand if hes a good guy, tell him you thought you were but you need time, and I'm sure you know how some guys can be with words, don't just say "I don't know" if you're not ready, you've gotta give it to him straight, I know thats hard, but if you were to say that, you'll be brought closer together and better about telling each other things.

well, I'd try to comfort him, and just keep telling him that you are ok with it, and I'm not really sure if its normal, but if it weren't you could still tell him you like it, get to loving it, when I was with my boyfriend, I loved everything that was different about him, and it made him feel less embaresed about doing anything with me, but I hope I helped.
