Your parents don't want you to get hurt and they dont want any guy to take advantage of you. So cutting off dating is a way to protect you. If you really like a guy, ask if you can bring him over and have your parents meet him. Ask your parents when you can start dating. In a year or two. It will probably lead to the whole sex talk. You should try to work things out with them...like no one-on-one dates. Say you're bringing your friends along. Once you earn trust, you can get away with certain things. You should tell the guys that ask you out that you're parents won't let you because they're overprotected, otherwise...by the time you're allowed to...they will think they're get rejected again.
If it doesn't work and you really like a guy... secret boyfriend, yes?

There's a kid named Alex who used to sit alone. A couple of years ago I invited him to sit with our group. The middle of this year, he started sitting with our group in the halls (he had left). I tolerated him, until he started with his anti Christian BS. Now I don't know what to do.
I tried staring at him. He pulled my hair (I was sitting on the carpet because we eat in the halls during lunch. He was standing behind me.) and I flipped him over my shoulder. I pushed him on his stomach but accidentally caused his forehead to bang his head against the carpet.
Imagine this kid. He's a skinny, mid heighted bookworm. I felt bad about his head and apologized. He drives me insane though. He has THE NERDIEST voice ever and dresses like he's totally out of it. At least he's stopped wearing short shorts.
How can I nicely make him go away?
Say that you want to be alone...or that you don't want to hear about his anti christian stuff. If he annoys you that much, just tell him to get away from you or hang out somewhere else where he cant find you. He'll probably get the hint.

Ok there was this guy I liked named Mike...well I thought I liked him but then I jst denied it because I didn't know what people would think..ya I know I shouldn't care but I did. Yeah maybe you're afraid. I think you want a guy that plays hard to get. But don't avoid him though, if you like a guy and he likes you, go for it. Just try going out with someone and if you aren't ready just break up with them and tell them that. I think they would understand...

Hey guys! I'm 13 years old (almost 14) and I am in 8th grade. Next year, (which is not too far away) I will be in high school (freshman). For those of you IN ninth grade or over, does it suck? It scares me because I will be going to a school with 17 and 18 year olds and I'll be only 14 when I go to high school! Is it scary to go to high school? I've heard so many bad things about high school... the boys are the worst... I could probably survive in an all girls school because boys that I klnow are just mean except a few. I'm really scared knowing that I will be in high school! Can anyone give me some comforting advice to help me feel better because everyday, I get scareder knowing that another day is past and I'm that much closer to high school? The people there don't bother you unless you're out there bothering others. It's just like middle school though...just with more older people...but most are mature. The ones that aren't, hang out in a little group elsewhere. It is scary because it's new but it's alright. You will probably have friends who are in 10th or 11th. Yeah, you heard a lot of things happening in high school... and some of it, is probably true but you just stay out of trouble and do what you think is right. Nobody goes out of their way to make a certain freshmen's year hell..and if they try to, you can ALWAYS fill out a harrassment paper. It's easy to make friends when sophomores are willing to help/show others around.

Because they're all taken or they think they can win you over by saying "your hot" and well you're only 14. You havee lots of time to find your type of guy. There's lots of them though! You just got to get to know them. I'll just wait for a guy or go to the shy ones because they're usually really nice. Well, if you think a guy is making the moves on you..randomly say you want a guy that does cute little things. Just bring it up or make it seem like, you like someone but you don't. I'm not sure. Ok here it goes...I have this boyfriend and I like him so much. We have been going out for 3 weeks. He is kind of shy and so am I. I mean, I am really outgoing I just get kind of shy around him. We went to a football game last night and I started yawing and getting really tired. He says, "Do you want to go to sleep on my shoulder?" I was really stupid and said "no its ok." He is very shy so I don't know if he will kiss me. He asked me to the school Christmas Dance and I said yes. But I really want to get closer with him. What should I do? Just wait for him. You don't want to push him. You've been barely going out with him for a month. My boyfriend didn't kiss me until months later. He's probably nervous so just settle back and sit closer to him. Maybe he will kiss you at that dance. An unexpected kiss seems nice...I wouldn't tell his friend anything because you could hurt your boyfriend. He might think you can't talk to him yourself. So, if you can't really wait... Just get a little bit closer to him. If he asks things like "Do you want to go to sleep on my shoulder?" and do it because he will feel more comfortable and ready for the next step (kissing). If he stares at you...lean forward slightly and he might take the hint. Or ask him, "Hey, do you know what I want for Christmas? A kiss."
