All of my boyfriend's friends tell me I'm ugly and he can do so much better than me. What are some ways I can improve the way I look? I just don't think I look pretty.

Forget your boyfriends friends. Either they have self esteem issues, or they're jealous. Either way, it's not your problem.

recently i got my nose pierced (to be exact i got it done june 2nd)

but my skin arround the piercing is like peeling pretty bad.
i dont think its an infection...
my piercing feels fine

That happened to me when I got mine done. I was using H2Ocean salt water spray to clean it, and it dried out the area pretty bad. I just started using the spray about twice a day instead of 3-5 times like they suggest, and I cleaned it with soap and water any other time it needed cleaned. My peeling cleared up in a few days. I don't know what you're using to clean yours, but chances are, that's the culprit.

It depends on the person. MikeCFT (from this site) is king of the pick up lines, and it's very cute when he uses them. However, not everyone can pull it off. It's not cute when a guy is honestly expecting the line to work magic, or expecting you to swoon after. It should be done for a giggle or an "aw" and that's it. well, i will be taking chemistry. I heard it was a very hard class, and i would like to know what to be prepared for. What basic things should i all ready know when going into the class, and what should i memorize (the periodic table???) Is there a lot of math work, and how hard would u rate it 1-10?
also, i'm taking physcology next year. If anyone's ever taken it, could you tell me what you do in the class? (I know what it is, i just want to know about the class) please, and thank you. =D

I took Chemistry this year. It was the hardest class I have ever taken, but that is just me personally. Most of my friends didn't have a huge problem with it, Chemistry just isn't my thing.

You don't need to memorize the periodic table. The only things we had to memorize were the polyatomic ions and various formulas (Don't worry about them now, you will learn them as you go a long).

You will do a lot of labs. None of our labs were too difficult if you actually did them. A lot of times I made a bad choice and talked to the hot guy in my class instead of actually working, so don't do what I did =)

There is a lot of math involved. Stoichiometry is all math and nothing more. You make a lot of conversions. This was the only part of Chemistry I liked. I could handle the math no problem, and I was really good at it. However, most of the other kids in the class thought it was the hardest part and struggled with it a lot.

The main advice I can give to you is to just really pay attention, don't miss a lot of school, and take good notes. If you do that, you will be fine in the class. And try to get interested in it. My main problem was that I hated it and I got bored in the class easily, so my mind tended to wander.

& I don't know about psychology, but I'm taking it online next year for college credit, so I'm in the same boat as you there!

In my opinion, not really.

Eighth grade graduation was started when everyone didn't make it that far in school. It was a celebration of coming a long way. Now, everyone graduates 8th grade, they have to. So it's kept around for tradition. A lot of schools in my area are starting to get rid of it too.

But go ahead and celebrate!

I feel terrible when I pray because I'm defninitely using God. Like I don't praise him at all, I only turn to him when I need help, and he always DOES help me. Which kinda makes me feel worse. How do I get into the habit of turning to him when I'm actually doing good and "dont need him" (of course I always do, but you get the picture!) ?

Okay, let me start off by saying that it is clearly stated in the Bible that that is not just what he is there for. You are right in thinking that you should praise him. And God knows that you feel guilty about it, but you still need to tell him. It's as simple as that. Start right now, just take time out and pray, telling him how you feel. When ever you remember, just stop and say thanks. It doesn't have to be fancy, he knows what you mean. Make a habit of starting your prayer with praise. Thank him for all he's done, and ask for forgiveness for whatever you need to ask it for. THEN ask him for help. He is there for that. Don't worry, this is nothing that can't easily be fixed! The other columnists had it right when they told you that this myth is false. However, I'd like to add that there is no way to make your breasts bigger other than gaining weight or getting breast implants. No pills, foods, massages, anything else similar will increase your breast size.

My best friend's parents are best friends with mine. We've known each other forever. So it's basically like her house is my second home, & her parents take care of me a lot, etc. She has a pool, so we're there a ton in the summer. It's not really a big deal, but lately her sister's been like, "why are you always here? why can't you go to her house sometimes?" But this is mostly when her boyfriend is over. He can't stand me I guess, cause whenever it's me & my best friend together & he's there they yell at us & leave sometimes. It's really annoying because we like, ask them to go swimming with us or something & they snap. I try to be nice & like offer to pay for them if they take us to taco bell or something but they're so crabby whenever I'm there. Normally I'd just have her come over here, but it's so boring because we have like no movies, no pool, no one to drive us anywhere.. so in the summer we like to go to her house.

My nature is just, to be funny & loud & obnoxious. I know this, but I can't help it. I'm 15 but I can be really immature with my best friend.. we just like having a lot of fun.

What should I do to get her sister & boyfriend to stop being so mean to us & not even giving us a chance.. because it's only when her boyfriend is there. & I don't know what else to do.

Okay from the way you worded this question, I'm guessing that your best friend's sister and her boyfriend are older than you. So I'm betting that they just don't want you guys hanging around them. They just want some time to be able to hang out alone with out 2 younger sister types tagging along. When you go over there, just hang out with your best friend and act like they're not there. Go swimming, watch movies, do whatever. Don't invite them, just forget them. If you want them to take you somewhere, ask politely and offer to pay for gas. Tell them if they don't want to, then that's fine, don't just expect them to be a taxi for you guys. Most importantly, don't go to them and bug them. And when I say bug, I mean be super loud and hyper around them when they don't think it's funny. They will just see that as bugging them (even though I know what you mean when you say you can't help it, I'm the same way) Over time, they will start to be okay with you guys being there, and being around them sometimes.

I don't think he's interested. If he were, there would be other ways to find out than asking you, his girlfriend. Don't worry. Maybe one of his friends likes her and he was finding out for them! You never know! Seriously, don't worry about it, it was nothing.

Does a guy's virginity mean as much as it does to a girl?

Generally, no it doesn't. A lot of guys view virginity as a burden, something they'd rather be rid of. Girls tend to put more stress and heart and thought into losing their virginity.

However, this is not the case for all guys and girls. I know a lot of guys that are waiting for marriage due to religious issues. I also know a couple of guys who are waiting for love, because they believe that's what's right (Not due to religious issues). And, one of my best friends had sex for the first time a few months ago with one of her really good guy friends, just so she could be rid of her "V Card". She is happy with her choice and she told me "Glad that's over with".

So while most people would say no, there are special cases. =)

I'm getting my nose pierced next weekend. You can choose whether you'd rather have the L-shaped nose stud thing, or the one that's like, got an actual "backing" or whatever.

Which is better? Meaning, which is less likely to fall out or get pulled out by my 3-year-old sister?

Also, how much is this going to hurt?

The L-shaped stud will be more comfortable. The actual backing stud will be way more difficult, but I'm thinking it is less likely to fall out. I would still go for the L-shaped. It's what I have, and I don't have any problems.

Now, about the amount of pain. It honestly didn't hurt me too badly. You have a needle going through your body, of course you are going to feel it. I would compare it to someone pinching you, but the pain is only for a split second. It throbs a bit after, but doesn't really hurt. I got my left nostril done, and my left eye watered, but that's a typical reaction, not because I was crying. It's nothing too bad though.

ok ever since it turned summer here ( arkansas ) i have been losing weight. in the winter, i was 114 and now that it is summer i am 109. is this bad that i am losing weight?

I always lose weight in the summer as well. I figure it's because in the winter, I'm stuck inside a lot more. In the summer, I'm always out and about moving, and since I'm never home, I tend to (Not on purpose!) eat a lot less. I don't know what your height is, so I don't know if that's unhealthy or not, but just make sure you don't get too low. If it continues, and you really don't know what's causing the loss, you might want to see a doctor. Good Luck =)

my hair always dries frizzy after i shower even after using frizz free shampoo....
how do i get sleek straight after i shower

After you shower, you work a tiny bit of some anti-frizz cream through your hair. I don't put any directly on my roots, but you do what works best for you. Then you blow dry your hair. When you dry it, hold the blow dryer above your head and point the air down. Even better, use a large round brush to dry it (a small one might make your hair too wavy). Then, after it's dry, spray a bit of heat protectant on your hair and then flat iron it. When that's done, finish it off by putting a tiny bit of serum on your hands and running them through your hair. Once again, you can probably skip your roots with the serum, that way you don't have a lot of product in your roots, which causes your hair to get greasy faster.

It sounds like a lot of product, but it's not. Remember, just use a tiny bit of each one.

Get your hair razor cut with really short layers. Flat iron everything. Then tease those short layers a lot, and smooth over the top layer so you can't see the tangles.

ok, let's say there's a girl at your school, and *everyone* knows that her boyfriend is cheating on her, but she doesn't seem to realize it. do you feel sorry for her, or do you just think she's stupid for not seeing it? and then... when she does find out, she forgives her bf and gives him a 2nd chance. do you think she's a nice, forgiving person who loves her bf, or do you think she's a complete idiot for letting him play her like that? just wondering, becuz that girl is me and i wonder what people might be saying/thinking about me!

You are not an idiot. I feel bad for girls in your situation. Everyone else thinks they're so high and mighty and they get all judgemental, but it's soooo easy to say that you'd never take him back until it's actually you in that position. And you're not doing anything wrong here. I don't think there's anything wrong with giving him a second chance. Everyone messes up, and everyone deserves a second chance. However, don't be naive this time around. Keep your eyes open for signs that he's being unfaithful again. On the other hand, don't become a super jealous, accusing girlfriend either (Although you have the right to be). Because then your relationship will go nowhere. And if he does do it again, don't give him a third chance. It will be hard, but don't do it, trust me. And make sure he knows there is no third chance. You are kind enough to give him a second
