Ok so lately I've been having this impending feeling that life is temporary and I might lose someone I love or die and never see them again -ever- and the thought is really depressing me.
I used to believe in god but I grew away from that a while ago and I've tried to go back to my ignorance but it's failed because I simply can't convince myself or have anyone convince me. Especially since I wrote it all off as false and now reading about the religions faults makes it worse.
Existentialism keeps coming up and it's seems like the accepted logical way in the scientific community and it's driving me insane because I am getting anxious and at the same time I really don't want to get used to the anxiety and accept the fact that I might never see my mom or dad or boyfriend again if they died today.
So is there any other theory out there that hasn't been put down yet and seems pretty reasonable? I'm just wondering at all if there's any room for the afterlife in the modern scientific world? Could you please give me a few theories.
I would appreciate if you could refrain by trying to convert me to your religion and keep your answers as factual as possible. Thank you so much. (link)

If you are put off by the in-fighting amongst different religions, the claim that they and they alone are correct and that all others follow different 'false' Gods, look up some information on Baha'i (http://www.bahai.org/ remember though it is still a religion, it isn't a 'do whatever you want' shindig). While I am not a practitioner, they do have some interesting takes on many of the stumbling blocks that give some people problems with Christianity/Judaism/Islam and others. In a sense they believe there is one God, and it is this same God who is present in one form or another in most (all?) religions, and that most religions are transitory. Many of its beliefs are, of course, considered heretical by other religions and as such followers have had to endure a history of persecution.
Agnosticism is a pretty broad umbrella that covers a lot of potential opinions, though I'm not sure I would qualify it as a religion itself.
I am not sure what to tell you about the presence, or lack, of an afterlife. I would say for you to believe in what you feel is right. However, I hope that you realise that there is a difference in wanting to believe in life after death and hoping its true even though you think it isnt, and truly believing in the afterlife. You may need to embrace what you dont want to accept - that there is no afterlife, even if youy dislike the thought. That belief is up to you IMO.
Also, if you've already 'left the fold' so to speak and have embarked on a journey to find what it is you DO believe, then IMO you might as well be fast and loose with specifics. There is no reason that you cannot believe in modern science and reasoning, believe in a God that isn't bound by one religion or another, and however you decide to feel the truth is on the after life - in fact, you could even be ambigous on that for now, many are (more towards agnosticism on that I suppose). I myself feel that the only time you need to worry about being 'exact' and sweating the details, is when you ARE trying to 'toe the line' in an established religious tradition, where it is required. If you've wandered away from a major religion, just explore feelings/facts/whatever, and don't worry about 'am I believing what is true?' - just go what you believe in your heart. Either you'll find something outside the major religions that represents you (atheism, agnosticism, or whatever), or you'll go back to the religion you've left...and you can pick up where you left off /shrug.

A friend and I are having issues on imdb and bene accused for cyberstalking a well known actor. All we did was ask questions and we were accused of getting the actors profile deleted on myspace which isnt true. They state we are cyberstalking because of this but we feel we aren't. We think this isnt cyberstalking. All we did was ask questions and had people report the profiles because the last name was faulterd which was against the terms of use on myspace.. What do you think? what do you think we should do? Should we et the actor involved, etc? I am thinking of writting a letter but I am not so sure about this. Thanks. (link)
|
I wouldn't do anything to make things worse, I'd just back off and let it go. It doesn't matter what you think, it doesnt matter if you were or you weren't...obviously some people think you were, and if you keep pushing you'll only be reinforcing that you are stalking (in their minds at least). I just don't see what you could possibly gain from messing around with this any more, I'd just cut my losses, let people think whatever they are going to think, and leave it alone.
At most, if you think you might have offended anyone (like maybe this actor might be ticked about some of this), maybe write a letter and and apologize with a short explanation from your pov. But hell, this is the internent, and not only is that out of the ordinary but there is no telling how the actor might take it. IMO the actor can just make a new acct just like anyone else, its not that hard is it?

I have these diet pills at my house, but they aren't in the package and i don't remember what they are called. They're a very light orange, oblong oval shaped, and have an "LB" marked on it. Do you know what this is? (link)
|
Does this look like the pill? http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g36/pillphoto/UNKNOWNPILLS.jpg Edit: if so, you arent alone in wondering what it is, so far I've only found questions concerning what they are, and no answers as of yet :(
EDIT#2: I found references to this pill at both http://www.drugs.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19492 and http://www.pharmer.org/node/4469#comment-8842 (I went ahead and put a post on that last one, the site has that pill on their 'mystery imprint' list).
If you could add, or tell me and I'll add, the general location this was purchased, possibly store it was sold at, or approximate age, it might be enough for those peeps to narrow it down far enough for an answer. I'd be more than willing to do the posting if you'd rather not post yourself, you can email me if you would like.

THERE'S NO GETTING OVER THIS GUY - i mean seriously, we broke up 2 years ago, 2 YEARS, and ever since..ive done everything possible, everything you're supposed to do, to get over a person,... burnt his stuff, cried, talked to friends about it, gotten closure, dated other guys, you name it - ive done it! YET, im not over him. I think about him all the time, i still love him and still need him, and still dream about marrying him ten years from now, i havn't let go.. even though ive tried, so hard, for two years, im beginning to think i'll never get over him, i dont know what to do, he's moved on, his screenname is always about a new girl, h flirts like crazy, has fun, and at the same time has deep meaningful relationships, HE'S MOVED ON so howcome i can't? all along i knew i loved him more than he loved me and it meant more to me than it meant to him, so i knew it would take some more time for me.. but he got over me in a matter of days, IT'S BEEN 2 YEARS FOR ME. help me please. (link)
|
First, some people...you never get over. Some people will tell you that they have no problem getting over anyone, but that isn't true for everyone at all. I myself still kick myself for letting 2 or 3 women get away in the past, or when I was a typical idiotic man and precipitated a break-up. And let me tell you that I STILL think of those 2-3 women, and I probably always will. They were special, they were really wonderful women - and though my feelings have diminished over time there are still some feelings left. If any of them were to show up on my doorstep I would have some serious feeling to wrestle with.
You need to realise that getting back together with him isn't going to happen, and marrying him is simply out of the question. Its ok to have feelings for someone still, and to have fond memories of someone - you just need to calm down a bit, realise this isn't all that abnormal, shrug, and move on. Eventually you will get over him, at least to the point were it isn't an issue...but I imagine you will always have some level of feelings for him.

I was just wondering something...
If say I got out for a nice dinner at a very nice place (I'm talking like guys have to wear jackets/ties and it's atleast a $80 a person) with my parents and my 21-year-old brother. If they all order wine, am I allowed to have any if my parents say it's okay, or will the restaurant have a problem with it? I'm 17. (link)
|
It really depends on the restaurant. Some are chill about this and wont nitpick, while others will. Some wont say anything if there is an adult present, but you cannot assume - a lot of places nowadays are fairly paranoid about losing their license for alcohol. It might very well come down to the server, whether or not the management pushes the issue, and if the employees are afraid of coming right out and asking for ID's at the table. Some places wont, its a bit...well, some would say rude.
Also I wouldn't think Wine to be that much of an issue usually. I'd see what happens; at worse, they might tell your father to 'please refrain from giving your son any alcohol'. Thats the worst I can think of, they wont like call the police on you. Plus, will your father even give you any? If your father thinks its ok, you shouldn't even stress about it...let your father worry about it.

Do you think the pack of cigarettes should be minimized to only 6? If you want to help people, I think they should put more in a pack then they do today. Do you agree or do you disagree? I'm all ears. (link)
|
I dont think that reducing the number of cigarettes in a package would help at all; smokers would simply by more packages at a time. As Denis Leary said long ago:
It doesn't matter how big the warnings on the cigarettes are; you could have a black pack, with a skull and crossbones on the front, called TUMORS, and smokers would be around the block going, "I can't wait to get my hands on these fucking things! I bet ya get a tumor as soon as you light up!"
Theres very little you could probably do to significantly affect smokers, other than banning smoking altogether (which they are starting to do now) or taxing the hell out of them (which wont stop smoking, but it might help take the edge off the burden that smoking puts on health care in America, assuming we are talking about America here).
So in the end, I would say it wouldn't matter at all...you could make cigarettes 1 per package, and people will just grap 20-30 individual cigarettes if they want to. Plus I imagine they will still make cartons, the only difference would be the way the cigarettes are packaged inside the carton.

Ok, so i know there was a ban on ephedra, but i also hear the ban was lifted. Was it really lifted? What stores can products with epedra in it be purchased? Thanks. (link)
|
The ban is in limbo atm, as far as I know. Back in 2005 a company went to court over this, and won. They didn't win because the belief was that Ephedra was safe, rather it turned into more of a legal and procedural argument. Congress had set guidelines for the FDA to use, and the FDA didn't exactly follow those guidelines. Dietary supplements were meant to be more losely related to, and handled like, foodstuff rather than being treated like drugs themselves. The FDA had banned Ephedra, and the court ruled that they had indeed wrongly regulated Ephedra as a drug, and not a food. Part of the fallout of the ruling I believe was that the FDA was to re-evaluate what constitutes a 'safe' dosage, etc (though I couldn't tell you what progress there is on that front, I imagine the FDA will drag their feet as long as possible until forced). Also, the company that sued was allowed to resume production of a certain line of supplements, but it had to be under a certain dosage and a certain type of synthetic alkaloids I believe - they weren't just set free to sell Ephedra wholesale, all willy-nilly however they saw fit. And this didn't overturn the ban either as far as I know, though I would imagine that eventually some politician will force this back into the spotlight before too much longer.
EDIT: I just found this today after seeing your questionin the feedback: http://www.nutraceutical.com/new/10thcircuitruling.pdf
I missed that back on Agust 17th of this year, the appeal for the above case was heard, and was reversed and remanded. The Court of Appeals basically found that the prior courts decision, in favor of Nuetraceutical, had been in error so to speak, and the Appeals court sided with the FDA ban. If you open the PDF file, you can see on the last page where it is mentioned that it finds that no dosage of Ephedra is safe (thereby shooting down the idea that small doses were ok).
If you are still looking to find any Ephedra, I am tempted to say not to bother. From what I've seen, most supplement suppliers are already moving to alternatives to Ephedra. And, as far as I can tell, the 'ban' is still in force, so to speak. I'd suggest looking at some of those alternatives (http://www.ephedra.com/alternatives.htm), though I cannot tell you how effective they are as I haven't used any supplements for a few years now. For example, I used Ripped Fuel like 10+ years ago (wow its been awhile lol), long before a lot of the supplement wars began.

Okay, I don't know quite how to explain this .. but here goes ..
You know how you can take a screenshot of whatever you're looking at on your computer (with printscreen)? Okay, is there a program that allows you to take a screenshot of your computer .. but that will turn it into a video, showing exactly what you're doing? I'm putting together a tutorial and I've seen people do it before. It would help immensely if anyone could help me. Thank you! (link)
|
The only program I have any real experience with is Fraps (http://www.fraps.com/), and that was video-game related. If you are doing a tutorial I'm honestly not sure if this would work for you, or not.
Dunno if that will help you at all.

What's the purpose of the chamfered corner on a concrete column? (link)
|
As I understand it, it doesn't impart any additional strength; rather, its to help maintain the integrity of the column. My guess is that one small benefit would be the removal of any 'sharp' edges, though I am not sure if that would be more than a trivial benefit or not.
Think of a 3-sided column (triangular)...the 3 corners will be sharper angles than even a square column. The sharper the angle, the weaker the material can become...I would imagine that if you were to wield a sledgehammer, on a triangular column, it wouldn't take long to chip off pieces of the corner. On a square it would be more difficult but still somewhat possible. And on a round column...well, I wish you luck (being that there wont be any corners lol). I also highly doubt that the extreme corners, which are the parts being removed by chamfering, add any significant strength at all. So by chamfering, you remove this extraneous part of the column and reduce the chance of the column taking damage from chips and the like.
This might very well tie into sealing concrete as well. Any cracks, chips or other defects would pretty much make any type of sealent pointless, so it would be even more desireable to reduce the chance that the surface would be damaged. Bear in mind that the decay of concrete, which happens over time, often happens when an edge, corner, or what have you wears away and the amount of moisture that enters the concrete is increased - to the point that the freeze and thaw effect will pretty much destroy the concrete. Most concrete is somewhat porous and can allow moisture through if not waterproofed if I recall correctly, and this moisture can shorten the life of the concrete.
But I'm not an engineer, so I could be wrong lol.

Has anyone else tried the TRUE Atkins'(no more than 20 net carbohydrates a day for the first two weeks, etc) diet? If so, did it work? Did you excercise while on the diet? (link)
|
Blackbelt's right, it is unhealthy in the long run. While you do reduce carbs, you run the risk of high fat and cholesterol which isn't all that healthy in large amount either.
I tried it once to help out someone I knew who was trying Atkins, and let me tell you - after about only 1 week, I was seriously jonesing for carbs. I was getting hunger pangs for the most basic carbs, like even saltine crackers sounded like something James Beard whipped up. In the end my friend quit, though I had already binged on potatoes and pasta long before he got to that point.
I exercised a bit, but I dont think that is what killed me in the end...I imagine I could have exercised more without too much bother. What got me, I think, was trying to avoid carbs at every turn rather than eating carbs simply in moderation. All I did was go cold-turkey, and eventually I said "Screw this I need carbs", and I binged. I did lose a little weight, but I bet I could have done much better if I just had eaten more vegetables and cut down on the carbs somewhat.

ok so... for some reason, recently my hair has been coming out alot. like if i brush it it will come out.. take a shower.. run my hands throuh it.... and its annoying cuz its just annoying!!
is this normal??? my friends say it is because like i constantly have my hair pulled back and now its down..but i dont know... (link)
|
While I'm a guy with short hair atm, I've grown my hair out to donate before (my hair grows incredibly fast) so I have experienced this as well.
For one, I never noticed how much hair I lost at a constant rate until I grew it out - as a guy I had buzzcuts or high&tights for years and its hard to notice hair loss when hair is that short. I never was keen on brushing my hair (made it very 'poofy'), so I would comb it while it was wet...most of the hair I would lose would be in the shower.
Second, I too noticed a lot of hair coming out when I had my hair in a ponytail. But to be honest, it could very well have been the same amount of hair that was lost as when the hair was loose...and it only seems like you are losing more hair, because its bound up in the ponytail and it isn't as free to fall out wherever you go.
I wouldn't freak out at all, everyone loses hair. But if you still feel that its falling out too much in a month or two from now, I'd go see a doctor just to be on the safe side.

Okay, so when I was 10 (I'm 26 now), I fell off my bike and broke my two front teeth straight across in half. My dentist put a bonding on each one, and it made them look a little too long, and over the years a small stain has started showing along the seam of one, but they work just fine as teeth and nobody really notices that they're not perfect. Now that I'm an adult I have another dentist who's recommended that I have the existing bonding (and what's left of the teeth) replaced with porcelain crowns... the length would be more natural, and they'd possibly use a brighter color and whiten the rest of my teeth to match it. It'd be more permanent and look better, but I'm really struggling with it because it seems like such a cosmetic thing to do and I've always fought against that sort of thing, it seems vain. Like, I'd NEVER have cosmetic surgery, so why do it for my teeth? I know I'm way overthinking this... most people would have had it done years ago. My teeth bug me but fixing them bugs me too. What would you recommend? (link)
|
IMO cosmetic dentistry is much different then other cosmetic surgeries. Teeth go through a lot, and I doubt that as you get older and older, that you will be able to avoid at least SOME dentistry along these lines. If you dont do something with at least those two teeth now, you will probably have to at some time in the future.
Besides, you aren't doing this for purely superficial reasons alone; as you've stated, teeth were broken, stains are appearing, and you should prob do something about them. I'd go for the procedure for the two teeth and get the whitening while you are at it, as well. This isn't botox or breast implants, done simply to 'look better' when you looked fine already. IMO this is a whole different situation, and I dont think you should feel bad about getting this done.

If material is purchased after the contract scheduled time, and the price goes up since the initial cost estimate, WHO's picking up the difference of cost?
(link)
|
It depends really, you aren't giving us a whole lot to go on here. If all you have between the two parties is an estimate, well, thats not really binding so to speak. An estimate is a ballpark figure, it isn't a promise, or a contract. Then it would come down to fairly representing yourself if it were to get to court, and proving you weren't jacking up your bill with imaginary cost hikes. With just an estimate, as long as you can prove it was on the up and up, things should be ok.
If there is a contract however (verbal or otherwise) and you are the contracter, an increase in your costs cannot be 'added' into the standing contract w/o the other parties consent, unless there was some agreement already in place within the contract to reflect costs like this.
I'm assuming that when you say "Contract scheduled time" that you do have an actual contract, and if your contract spells out the original price to the customer, you will probably be bound by that.
I am not even sure that the time component (as it sounds like the job wasn't finished on time?) would affect whether or not you could amend an agreed upon price.

Why do many non-Christians celebrate Christmas? Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus, so I just don't understand how anyone who doesn't believe in Jesus could celebrate his birth just for presents. And why do nonreligious people have to celebrate Christmas? Why not Hannukah or Kwanza?
Also, why do people who only celebrate Christmas and Easter consider themselves Christian? (people who don't pray or go to church, but still celebrate Christian holidays) (link)
|
Christmas might be about Christ, but the date wasn't Christ's actual date of birth. Not that that is the reason non-Christians celebrate Christmas, but its good to remember that the Church chose that date to celebrate the birth of Christ on, to forward its own agenda. I could say to you "why do YOU celebrate Christmas on a day that was someone elses holiday to begin with, when scholars generally agree that Christ was born in an entirely different month?"
But anyways. I'd venture to guess that commercialism has a lot to do with it - this wasn't the way it has always been. You combine the fact that many of the worlds most industrialized nations in at least the past 100 years have been Christian by a vast majority, and combine that with people seeing they could make money on this holiday, and you'll see what I mean. Go shopping, and you'll see very. very little 'Christian-centric' items, its all toys and $$$.
Anymore many non-Christians don't even care about the fact that there is 'Christ' in the title, they have now started their own family tradition, and its centered around gifts.
EDIT: took out some extraneous stuff I shouldn't have put there in the first place, I apologize =/

Ever since I was little my family hasnt celebrated Halloween because its an "Evil holiday" is that true? Where in the Bible does it say that? I feel like im missing out on Halloween. Ive only went trick or treeting like 5 times, and im getting old (link)
|
Halloween comes from Samhain, the end of the Celtic calender. It also is the name of the 'Lord of the Dead' (remember the concept of death, and the dead, often weren't evil to Pagan socities - it was Chistianity that introduced that idea over time), and there are some who believe that sacrifices were made to him (though of what kind I am not sure - remember there were sacrifices in the Bible as well!).
But on to more important things. The Christian church of course got their fingers in this pie, as they did with other notable cultural days; when they couldn't get the pagans to stop this celebration, they tried to superimpose their own holiday over Samhain. All Saints day got moved onto this date from the spring, even though All Saints day isn't celebrated on Oct. 31 the world over. Some Christians still celebrate it in the spring, but I doubt this happens in Europe or the Americas. This is similar to other Holidays being moved to being on 'Pagan' days: Easter from Eostre, Valentines Days from Lupercalia, and the big one - Christmas to Yule. From what I remember, many scholars believe that the birth of Christ to have taken place sometime in January or February. (if you want references, shoot me a question, and I'll provide some)
Remember though that there is a huge variation of opinion on this, everything from "Its totally evil, you are doing Satans work if you celebrate Halloween at all" to "It was the Christians that paired the holiday with the term 'evil', in order to destroy the pagan worship of it". You can read this site, for example http://bible.com/bibleanswers_result.php?id=170 to get an idea of how many Christians view Halloween. (remember this is an exceprt from the book "Exposing Satan's devices", so it could very well be the bias of an individual) As you are a Christian ,I would actually sugest that you read that first; if you agree then go no further. If, however, you think that its a bit over the top, then you may want to look elsewhere. IMO the 4 passages that the book mentions in reference to Halloween are being stretched pretty far in order to make them applicable to Halloween at all, but then again your family and Church may disagree.

I'm taking a poll and I'm curious what people think the most spoken language is. Don't search the site or look at other people's answers and see. I want what YOU think. (link)

I agree with WiseAl on this one, Chinese as a first language, English gets used a lot of places in a secondary capacity though.

How do you play hard to get without making you seem "too hard to get"?
(link)
|
By not playing hard to get. All it does is complicate things, and men are really, really simple by nature (and I'm a guy saying this lol). Its like giving a Rubiks cube to a chimpanzee.
Remember one thing that many woman seem to forget - Playing hard to get can be fun, erotic, or whatever, IF THE GUY KNOWS WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON. If a guy takes playing hard to get as being seriously hard to get, you just shot yourself in the foot and lost that guy. There is a reason that so many women gripe about slutty women getting all the guys...because they do. Men are VERY literal creatures, playing hard to get can backfire as you send mixed signals - most guys will gravitate towards the obvious when they can. This doesnt mean be a slut, just be open and honest.
The only thing guys like about "the chase" is being done with the chase. Almost every guy I know (myself included) despises mind games and women playing hard to get so much, that they will lose interest most of the time with this "hard to get" game and move on. Men and Woman want basically the same things - sex, relationships, pie (everyone loves pie)...but guys aren't going to waste their time playing games. If the majority of men DID like the chase, for the sake of the chase itself, prostitution wouldn't be so wisespread - they'd be out chasing woman with little or no chance of success, instead of supporting the worlds oldest profession.
My advice is to not even play hard to get in the first place. Just do what you want to do, have sex when you want to, date when you want to. Be honest with guys, tell them how you feel. If a guy trusts you, he'll respect your wishes (most of the time)...but often as not, start playing games and they'll look for love elsewhere. I know I do, when the games start.

alright i'm pretty depressed here but i dunno if i should be or not, my boyfriend of 11½ months just told me that this gurl on the net thretened to tell me that he cheated on me if he didnt show her his penis on his web cam, in a panik he did. i feel like he kinda cheated on me because he could of just said no, but he sais he was just paniking and thats the only reason he did it. i'm mad because he had already blocked this gurl because she was calling him her babe and then he just suddenly desided to unblock her today and this happened. what should i do about it? Is it ok for me to be depressed? (link)
|
Depressed, no. Angry, yes.
Hopefully you do realise that its far more likely that your BF was flirting with this woman, then went 'internet perv' and showed her his manhood. This is followed by her being angry for whatever reason, out comes the threat, and he blocked her - likely not because "She calls me babe" but rather because he knew he was going to be in a ton of trouble for this stunt, if and when you found out. I also think its highly likely that the only reason he told you about this is that he was afraid you would find out anyways, and he wanted to break it to you in a way he could control so that he could try to pull the wool over your eyes.
People don't panic and wave their privates for others to see...if your BF truly panicked he would have simply turned the cam off, ended the IM, and THEN blocked her. IMO the mere fact that he gave you this line of BS expecting you to believe it is enough to break up with him, I'd drop this guy like a hot potato. The only other possible explanation in my mind is that this IS true, but that would make him a moron on such a scale that its rarely been seen on the internet...and you might still want to dump him. Whats next, "I was jogging and tripped, and I, erm, fell into this woman, and now she's pregnant...it was an accident, I swear!"?
But I don't know whats up with people meeting others by IM'ing when they have a BF/GF at home, flashing uglies on webcams, this is all silly crap. And even if they didn't have anything physical, IMO its somewhat akin to 'cheating in spirit'.
I feel sorry for you, and the only thing I would be depressed about is that you had to come in contact with something like this in RL. Dump this guy, seriously, and move on - no one deserves having to deal with this.

i honestly think i have OCD because i've read over thousands of articles, thousands of times, plus another time i thought i misunderstood something. i tried talking to my mom, her boyfriend, my counselers at school, my psychologist, and my PCP. they all said that it was just in my head and that i complain too much. Even my friends make fun of me(in a good way)becauset they think i have to it too...but no one else believes me. there's certain things i can do, and certain things i can't without worring about SOMETHING happening. i keep getting these weird ass thoughts that i can't get rid of, and i keep seeing images. it scars the crap out of me. i like cleaniness. i like perfection. i hate germs. i fear, them actually...and yeah. you get my point. any ideas on how to show everyone that i think i need help? (link)
|
Personally I don't think you are at the point of OCD from what you've said, but let me address a few points.
Everyone worries about something happening...whenever. Most people have wierd-ass thoughts, and everyone sees images. I have a hyperactive imagination, but I dont have some kind of condition - its possible you are in the same boat.
Everyone likes cleanliness, and simply not liking things dirty doesn't mean you have OCD.
When professionals tell you that you are ok, you probably shouldn't be so quick to dismiss them. At most, get a second opinion from a second psychologist - but if that one tells you the same thing, will you believe him or her? No offense, but it almost sounds like you are convinced that you DO have OCD, irregardless of what anyone tells you, and that IMO is worse than having OCD in and of itself. Believing in one thing, no matter what others tell you, is a bad mindset - and you should probably talk to your psychologist about this more so than about OCD.
And your first sentence, stand back and read it objectively. "i honestly think i have OCD because i've read over thousands of articles, thousands of times." Diagnosing a condition is more than reading a lot, otherwise everyone on Advicenators would be certified healthcare professionals. Be careful of self-diagnosis, PARTICULARLY when it concerns mental health (which I imagine this falls under). Its entirely possible that you are not objective enough to diagnose yourself - even if you were qualified on paper to do so - because it concerns you. Plus this concerns mental health, and that makes this even more important.
Getting a second opinion is the best you can probably do at this point; if you keep pushing that you have OCD to your family/counselors/psychologist, they aren't going to think you have OCD. They are going to think that you either want yourself to have OCD, that you want others to think that you do, or simply that you are convinced that you do have OCD when you do not - these are seperate, and no less serious, situations. I mean, its possible that you DO have OCD, but get a second opinion to see if the first psych was mistaken...but if the 2nd opinion comes back with a 'no', then you will have to rethink things.

Hi.
I bent down to tie my shoe and i got up quickly and my right knee muscle jolted and twisted to the side. after, it hurted. now it's been more than 6 weeks, and it spontaneouly hurts like a bruise even when i'm walking i feel it sometimes, maybe in correlation with the cold weather. before this knee injury, my right knee has always been weak, running slightly up the stair would cause it to pop and sends a sharp pain to my right knee.
what is my problem? please advise, should i get it x-rayed??? (link)

You need to go see a doctor. X-rays wont help really, just an FYI - they cannot 'see' a lot of the tissues that you need to see with these kind of injuries. Either you will need to be 'scoped, get an MRI, or have exploratory surgery - or any combination of the 3. All an x-ray would really tell you is the position and condition of kneecap/bones etc, and possibly if you have any free pieces of bone floating around. 6 weeks of pain isn't something like a sprain or a bruise, more than likely something is injured and you are feeling it. I'd try some Ibuprofin daily for a bit and see if, by dealing with inflammation, if it helps. From my own experience if that doesnt do anything for you then its something you probably need to see a doctor for.
My first guess is that you have torn or ripped, or possibly simply a 'stretched' ligament or two. If you have a 'week' knee, then its also possible that you have some meniscus damage, but only a doctor will be able to tell you specifically.
My knees have been weak for a long time. Years ago I turned one leg, from the knee down, 180 degrees counterclockwise so that the foot pointed backwards. Now your injury doesn't sound quite as serious, but you can (and probably do) have some amount of damage to your knee. The reason ligaments get damaged is that when you move your knee in a way it wasn't intended to, often too much strain is put on them and they simply get damaged. Plus, once you start having pain and odd movement in the knee, its simply not going to heal itself and never have a problem again. More than likely small injuries, if not treated, will snowball until you have it become a chronic problem.
