I'm 13, so you know the hormones are acting up. My favbe is fine when its warm out but when its hot (which is waht it is in NJ!) my face gets all shiny, greay, and sweaty. EWWW I look like a monster. Its all over my nose and chin. What products can be used? I've heard of oil absorbing cloths. Do they work and are they expensive? (link)

Clean and Clear make oil absorbing sheets for only around 4 dollars and there are 50 sheets in a pack. They are sthin and very portable and they work. You can also get blotting papers that are more expensive from places like Sephora. Neutrogena makes a lot of products, like facewashes and masks, that can help control oil. If the oil realy bothers you , you can make an appointment with a detmetologist to see waht products (maybe perscription) would work best with your skin.

I think that you are knowledgable about sex and things similar to that. People might say you don't know anything becasue THEY don't know anything or becaseut he answer you gave is not what they believe or not what they find to be true, but that doesn't mean your answe r isn't true. my hair is originally light brown with a few natural highlights- im wanting to go blonde- and i have been for a long time. the only thing is- i dont know if i can rust myself to do it- to get like, my whole head done. another thing- i KNOW i couldnt trust someone else to do it for me- so id rather do it on my own. i dont want to spend too much on the dye- and walmart sells the revlon colorsilk dyes for 3 dollars a box. anyone know if thats a good brand? and will dying my hair lighter make it come out some funky color or what? any help would be grand! You can try a natural kind like herbal essences natural instincts. First, you could also try a semi permanent dyes. Even though you don't want somebody else to do it ,that might be the best solution just make sure that it is a trained hairdresser that you usually go to and you trust. You can also try to lighten it gradually, like start by adding more blonde highlights so that when you dye your entire head it doesn't look so shocking and it looks more natural. Good luck!

There isn't really a way that can go over perfectly. Everbody will react differently. Just tell her that those things kind of annoy you and bother you and that they bother other people too. Make sure to tell her that you still want to be her friend (if you do) and that you thihnkk shes great and everything but these things kind of irritate you and you don't like having to take extra precautions so that she doesn't cause chaos.

My boobs are different sizes, I know thats normal but my doctor told me I was almost done with my "growing" and my left boob is almost 1 inch and a half bigger around the the other one. In a shirt it looks fine, cause of my bra, but when I wear a swimsuit it`s really noticable. I`ve tried doubling up on the padding in the smaller one but its the part that hangs out thats really noticable. Even friends I`ve never mentioned it to have said they`ve noticed it! If you are worried about it you should make an appointment with your gyno or doctor to discuss it. Good chance is that its normal but even if thats what your doctor tell syou ask him or her if there is anything that can help even them out if you are very uncomfortable with the different sizes.

Hey guys! It's summer for me right now and I've been going to the pool a lot lately. All the girls my age like run around and flirt with guys and stuff, and believe me, I'm all for that but I always feel so uncomfertable in a bathing suit. I mean, I don't think I'm fat or anything, but like my stomach is really hairy and I have to shave it (Is that normal?) and like the back of my neck is really harry, too. I can never run around in my bathing suit because it like rides up and then like half of my vagina is showing (I'm exaggerating a bit there.) But what should I do?! No body is perfect so don't be concerned that yours isn't like the other girls becasue chances are that they have several things that they would change and things that they hope nobody will notice. You can wear swim trunks with a bikini top to give guys the girly and sporty vibe. You can also buy short board shorts (which work great in the water) to put over the bottom of your suit. Bikinis aren't your only option though. They make tankinis that are CUTE and not like for grandmas or little girls. They also have one pieces that aren't like speedos. TThey have glam ones that can have sexy cutouts in appropriate places. Pac sun is a great store to buy sporty and girly things. These suits are different than your "average" bikinis. A Tankini is a bathing suit that is in between a bikini and a one piece. It has two seperate pieces but instead of one ending right below your breasts, a tankini ends above your belly button (or around there). THe bottoms oraverage bikini bottoms or boyshorts.

It seems like as you get older an age difference wont matter anymore but as long as both of you feel comfortable with the afe difference, it is okay. If the parents are okay with the age differences then I think that you should go out with him if you like him and he treats you well. You might as well give it a try. if yuou really like this guy then it wont matter what people think of you two together and it shouldn't matter. People who think you are desperate are probably just jealous.

I think that if you are yusing a cheap hair straightener it is probably already damaging you ahir much more than getting it chemicallyy straightened. It is rather expensive and depending on hair lasts frmo 2-6 eweeks usually. Just make sure to take proper care ofy ou hair after it is chemically straightened. A good way to straigthen the hair is the Chi system and if you use their products to help maintain the straight hair you will probably have the best results. Good luck and you will look great!
This hair straightening system is not too difficult to find. A lot of salons offer it. The best way to find a place that will do it is to call your facvorite salon to set if they do it and if they do you can probably set up a consultation where they can give you their professinal opinion on the best way to deal with your hair. If that salon can't preform it, they might be able to refre you to a salon that can. You cnan also just purchase the CHI straightener and products at places like Ulta or online.

Ok so I took some people's advice and asked my grandmother if I could go on the pill and surprisingly she said YES!!!
But she said she is coming with me to the doctors.
What kind of questions will the doctor ask? like am I sexually active? I'll have to lie to the doctor and say no because she will be there.
I told her it was to regulate my period which needs to be done anyway but she said the doctor will put me on a light dosage.
Will this mean that it wont be as affective with birth control?

You definately have to answer the doctor correctly because if you don't, you might not get the right dosage or the right protection you need. Just tell your grandma, as awkward as it may be, that you would feel more comfortable if she wasn't there. She should understand or talk to the doctor before your grnadmother comes in the room maybe that way he can say something like only the patient can be in the room right now. You could always tell your grandmother that you also need the pill to protect you from pregnancy, she should be happy that you are keeping safe. I hope everything works out great!

(i have asked this question to other people but so far noone has writen back): )
last minute i decided to have a birthday party. everyone i love is getting together to go to this cool club sort of place. My friend, lets call her Orchid, and her boyfriend Tom (now ex) were invited. They broke up bitterly. I think Orchid blamed me, even though i had nothing to do with it. Orchid's friend Bee was also invited. The invite and RSVP was after the breakup. Tom said of course he'll come. Orchid said ok, and so did Bee over the phone. Tom and Orchids parents varified they could come. Bee convieniently said she was out right now and that her mother was working. Then that her mother was sleeping, all of which she said online. Bee kept saying that she was worried that Orchid and Tom would fight. I said that both had a choice to say no. She kept going on about how she doesnt want them to fight and stuff. I said it doesnt have to do with her. Bee was typing unusually slow, so I think she was either with Orchid and were thinking together of what to write or that she was copy/pasteing the whole conforsation.
Now the night before, when I went over orchids house for her to sign something about the party, she didnt let me in. she opened the door a half inch and didnt even smile at me. Bee was there as well, but seemed nicer. I called Orchid to ask her why she was acting "all weird" andgoing on, that if shes mad she doesnt have to come. She said it was just bad chinese food.
Then today rolled around. Finally my mom got fed up (because we need to know how many r definitely going for transportation reasons) and called Bee's mom. She was home, and awake unlike Bee said. Bee's mom said it was fine, that her daughter can go and that her daughter was out with a "friend"
Orchid hasnt called me. When I called her she said, "we can hang out tomorrow. tomorrows tomorrow so i'll call u then" Tomorrows here and she didnt call me. she said that shes worried that I will feel uncomfortable that herself and Tom wont be talking. I said i dont care, to just keep their mouths shut and enjoy the music. She was like "sure Tori (my now fake name) nothing will happen". she said 'sure' like she was writing me off or something. I cant explain it, but it just didnt sound right.
Orchid also said "for my party when Bee was mad at Lea (another one of my friends) I didn't invite lea cause I didnt want to start trouble." I said that their wont be any trouble to start.
My thoughts: i think Bee and Orchid are going to pull out the last second and r just looking at my party as a game. OR that they r using me to see the band and for the free entry ticket (my mom is paying for everyone to enter).
btw, another one of my friends... lets call him Rob, said no to the invite. I found out later that he, Orchid and Bee were pranking one of my friends all night. Now Rob decided that he wanted to go. I lied and said I couldnt get him a ticket because throughout this drama he has been mean to me. Orchid at one point screamed at me (over the boyfriend thing that was about 4 days ago) so loud i couldnt make out what she was saying. Bee called me bad names. I had nothing to do with Orchids and Toms breakup (as Tom knows) Orchid agreed this was a 'misunderstanding' but didnt sound sincere. I think Orchid just wants to blame someone so she decided to blame me.
Question: if orchid and bee do show up, i think they'll cause trouble and team off. I want to just uninvite them at this point, but I dont want to be mean. I dont know what to do. And believe me, I may have writen alot but I just skimmed the topping of the drama thats been going on for the past week.

This is definately a difficult situation. If I were you, I would still invite everybody (except Rob). Clearly, these girls are acting stupid and just teaming up and being completely and unnecessarily rude to you. You should talk to them face to face. Especially Orchid since she seems like she is the root of everything and all of this drama. Just explain that you invited her and Tom before they broke up and you can't just be completely bogus and uninvite Tom. Talk to Bee and ask her why she is being rude. You can just come out and say that you think she is being rude to you and you just want to know why because none of this was really her problem to deal with. Its almost like she just wants to be involved in drama to get attention. Just tell Orchid if she doesn't want any drama, she shouldn't cause any because that seems to be what seh is doing right now. Tell her that you can try to separate her and Tom if it will make her uncomfortable. But then if they are just continuing to be rude and mean to you, just tell them that they don't have to go to your party if they don't want to. Say this without uninviting them because if you uninvite them it will just show them that what they were saying and doing was getting to you. Overall, I would just talk to them to see what they think about the situation. Message me if you need more help or have any questions! Your "friends" are just using you and if they really wante dto be your friend, they wouldn't just call you for a ride. Before just dumping them talk to them to see what they are htinking. Maybe they don't realize that they are using you ro that it hurts you. But after talking to them, if they still treat you like this or they do similar things just don't be there friends. Because Im sure that there are poeople out there who would love to be your friend and won't take advantage of you.

I really want longer hair, is there anyway to speed my hair growth? I want my hair to be healthy, so how many times a week should I wash my hair? People say wash it everyday but I don't think that's good..And they tell me to wash it in cold water? Should i listen to them? (link)

Get your hair trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks to get rid of dead ends. Then, try to rub your scalp with the shampoo in the shower for about two minutes. Washing your ahir in cold water doesn't do anythihgn because your hair is dead and it wont make hair any shinier. Pantene Restoratives makes a strengthening spray that will make hair healthier. Don't brush your hair when you get out of the shower, comb it with a wide toothed comb. Brush your (dry) hair from the roots with a boar bristle brush if you can and if your shampoo is very moisturizing and you have normal to oily hair, try every other day but if your scalp is dry, a moisturizing shampoo is ok. If you have normal shampoo you can wash your ahir every day if you want or every other day it shouldn't matter that much. Pretty much if your hair feels gross or oily wash it (regardless wash it every 2-3 days). SOme shampoos (Mane n' Tail) are made to grow hair faster.

A little more than 25 years ago, I met a guy who became a friend. About three years after we met, he took my car out one night, got drunk and smashed it up. I had to pay to tow the car away, junk it, and for tickets. Cost me over $1,000 at the time. He never offered to pay me for the damages to my car.
He was doing bad financially at that time and I figured that later on, when he was doing well, over time he would find some way to compensate me because we were still "friends."
Fast forward 25 years. This "friend" is single and doing well, owns house, car, good job, etc. Last year I borrowed $300 from him to buy emergency plane tickets, and told him I'd pay him back when I could. About three weeks later, he began to demand repayment in full. He was nasty about it so I reminded him about his car wreck 25 years ago. Nobody made him pay then.
He was still angry; I was stunned. No, I did not ever pay him back. The crisis has passed but I want to know, who's right about this? Should he get his $300 back? And what about people who think the passage of time relieves them of their financial and moral obligations? Your help please....

You should give him the $300 back if you can and then tell him that you keep your promises and pay him back and that he should do the same. Then, if he can't pay you back for a large mistake that he caused and an expensive one. Maybe you should talk to him about your friendship and if he still doesn't get it, he doesn't treasure your friendship. THis would be an entirely different story if now, he is in a poor financial situation, but as you exlpained, he clearly has the money to pay you back.

An energy drink every now and then is fine but drink them in moderation. A lot of them contain a lot of unneeded sugars that can give you a lot of energy, then make you really tired. I personally don't like to drink energy drinks just because I don't like the taste. A lot of my friends like Tab, the drink for women, and Red Bull, a lot fo them also like Monster. I haven't heard much about Rockstar.

I'm 13/f and I have never kissed a guy before.
Well I really want to kiss my boyfriend within the next 2 days before school is over and I'm pretty sure he is planning on kissing me at one of the end of the year parties. I was really nervous before my first kiss. Don't worry. Don't feel pressured to kiss him within a time liimt, do it whenever it comes naturally. Just make sure your breath is fresh and you don't have any gum in your mouth. Sometimes, chewing gum for ten minutes before you kiss makes thee kiss less spitty, which is most of the time a good thing. You really just have to do whatever comes naturaly to you when yyou are kissing him. Most people move their tongues in circles around each other. Just don't think about it to much and don't jam your tongue down his throat. Good luck!

I did the same thing and I got mine cut at Kid Snips which was a big mistake. I had a mullet type thing going on haha. The Locks of Love website offers names of many soalons in every area that will give the free hair cut. But, for a more hands on approach you can go to the salons and ask if you really want your hair cut at a certain place. My sister did the same thing as me (cut her hair for locks of love) but, she went to the salon we normally go to and they offered to give her the free hair cut and send in the hair and her haircut (very short!) looked great.

i work at an ice cream shop and im not allowed to wear nailpolish. my nails break easily and they start to peel off in layers. HELP. what can i do to keep them healthy and keep them from not breaking without nailpolish?

You turned if off fine but if you ever want to keep it off you can just put it on hold. You don't need to hold the button down to turn it on.
