1) Pre-natal vitamins. I swear they work! I used to have paper-thin nails, I could literally peel them off, but since I started taking pre-natal vitamins, I have to trim them with scissors.

2) Cuticle oil- very easy, very effective. Put it on your cuticles, rub it in, go to bed.

Nails are just an extension of your skin, so they need to be treated with just as much care, so here are some really simple tips that should strengthen your nails without the use of chemicals:

1. AVOID WATER. Water dries out your nails (due to the process of diffusion), so if you must keep your hands in water for any amount of time, either wear gloves or put on lotion often.

2. DO NOT use your nails as tools. For example, opening soda cans with your nails is a big no-no. It will cause them to crack and peel.

3. Buff your nails about once a week. It will smooth them out and remove dead cells, leaving only strong healthy cells and also removing the flaky layers. Nail buffers are extremely inexpensive and can be bought nearly anywhere. On the same note, only file your nails in one direction, as opposed to sawing back and forth. That will keep your nails from weakening.

4. Take your vitamins and drink lots of water.

5. NEVER bite your nails. That's pretty common sense.

I hope these tips helped, and they can all be done without the use of nail polish of any kind.

Good luck.

Look for nailpolish that strengths nails.. or something that says.. "for weak nails"
Sally Hansen is something to look for.

Neutrogena makes a nail enhancer that looks like an oddly shaped pen, dries in seconds, and can't even really be considered nailpolish. Its completely clear and it will restore your nails to better condition.

I know you said you couldnt wear polish but does that mean a clear coat 2? They sell it at wal~mart and it's by Sally Hansen made specifically for your problem. You could take pre~natal vitamns even thou your not pregnant. It won't harm you, it's actually very good for your body, give you tons of vitamns that you need and makes your hair and nails grow awesome. You can pick that up at walmart to for about $5.00 its sold over the counter so you dont need a prescription for it and there no age limit just make sure you explain to your mom what your doin so she dont freak out and think your prego lol

Use a nail strengthning polish. It comes on clear, so you don't have to worry about the color. Look in the cosmetic section at Walmart.

Hope I helped!
