does anybody know something i can download to get rid of spyware,viruses and pop-ups? my computers constantly going slow and i have millions of pop-ups saying i have spyware and errors on my computer. but i need something thats free and doesn't include having to register. A hash is the output of a special hash function on some data. If the data is the same, then the hash will always be the same.
The most common hash function is MD5. The MD5 hash of "hash" is "258def5e78a5f18e3477fcfc55104f2e". That will always be the hash of "hash".
Changing a minor detail of the hashed value will completely change the hash. The hash of "hash1" is "00c6ee2e21a7548de6260cf72c4f4b5b".
You can also hash a program or file on your computer. Everything on your computer can be broken down into binary(1s and 0s) and binary can always be converted into hexadecimal. The hexadecimal value is what is hashed, I believe.
You can see that this is very useful for verifying the integrity of files. If even 1 byte of data is out of place, the hash will be completely different. You will know that you must download the file again.
All P2P programs like limewire use hashes. Before it downloads the file, it downloads the hash. After the file is done, it checks it against the hash. If it does not match, it downloads both again, and repeats this until they do match.
Many large or secure downloads supply you with a hash. If you check against the hash, you can be 100% sure that part of it wasn't lost along the way, and that it is the original unmodified version.
Hashes are also used in security. A hash function only goes one way. There is no way to tell that "258def5e78a5f18e3477fcfc55104f2e" is the hash of "hash" without trying to hash every possible combination of letters until you get to that. This is very useful for storing passwords. In windows and (hopefully) advicenators, your passwords are stored as hashes. Someone can very easily get to your hashes, but if your passwords of sufficient length, it could take weeks for them to figure out your password.

You are using IE6. Upgrade to IE7. The URL bar can't be disabled in that version.

The brand of the laptop won't matter. Oblivion is a very graphics-intensive game, though, and it may not run on any kind of laptop.

Ok you know how your computer hardrive thingy is connected to your computer screen? Well I connected it to my plasma TV and it works well but no sound comes out. I took everything and connected everything correctly as if the TV screen were my computer screen. I wanna use the TV screen so I could watch a movie with my siblings. and i downloaded the gimp with x11
and it opens like its going to work
then i hit file-->new
and i go to like put the paint brush on it and everything closes down

Try installing it again, maybe from an older package. If that doesn't work, you may be out of luck. The OSX version isn't supported by Apple or the GIMP Team. I don't know what you would do to get further help.

i have a black and white picture but i want to make my eyes in color(there blue). i have picasa, but with that you can only do that to pictures that are color, and then turn them black and white. i hope that makes sense..is there any way to do that with picasa? or do i have to download something, because i dont have photoshop or anything. and please give me instructions how to do it! :D thanks!

It's broken into parts, look after the introduction section. The video host is a bit slow, this could cause some "freezes". To counteract this, pause the video for 10 minutes before you start watching it. The start of the movie is in black and white; this is normal.
It is legal for you to view this video, and for me to link it, and for them to link it, but not to upload it. It will be illegal if you rip the video and upload it somewhere else.

i am trying to find a driver for the hitachi dzmv730 a camcorder. do you know where to get it? i tried hitachi site but the driver was not there.
You don't need a driver for that device. If it plugs into the computer via USB, just go to "my computer". Find "Removable storage(E:), possibly with a different letter. Your movie files are in there.
