Skip to the numbered list. You don't need to know the other information. After you follow the steps, you need to restart Safari. Then download shockwave here:

All that means is it contains the executable and related information pertaining to the software you are trying to install. This is an add-on. It could also mean more than one program but it's probably more about one program in your case.
