I don't know how other girls can handle wearing dresses and skirts! I feel so wierd when wearing them. And when I am forced to wear them I ALWAYS wear either a leotard or bootie shorts under them. Do ther girls feel weird about it? Or do they like it? Thanks. (link)
I enjoy wearing dresses and skirts because I have found types that I like to wear. There are so many different kinds and materials. I just feel comfortable in some and those are the ones that I buy. Not everybody likes skirts and dresses though. I have a good friend who is sort of a tomboy and never wears any dresses or skirts. It's sort of a personal preference. Don't worry, it's totally normal to feel the way you do :)

Please,no abuse please this is really serious.

When I was about 10, my cousin james was very "horny" if you like, and he'd always try to get me to have ''sex'' with him. I didn't want to at all, but I was too scared not too. He didn't really have sex with me, he just touched me in the wrong places.

Then, when I was 12. My brother and I were really close, so we'd sometimes sleep on the same sofa and stuff (no sexual activity at first) but then one night, I fell asleep with my mouth open and he started ''kissing'' me. I just let him. I got him off me and ran upstairs. Then, I was sitting with trousers on and my legs slightly apart and he started ''feeling me up''. I also just let him, and ran upstairs after again. Now he always tries to put his hands up my top or down my trousers and I'm too scared to tell anybody.
I think I'm a bad person, seriously I need help, what do I do? (link)
I'm really sorry that you have to go through this. You are not a bad person! Your brother and cousin are the ones that are doing something wrong. You need to tell a trusted adult about this. It is not right for them to treat you like this. Don't let them scare you into silence.

So i really want a prom date and well theres just about no one at my school i can go with. My friend says he knows this guy, and he wants to set me up with him. But i guess i'm just scared of rejection. The guys really cute, but what if we end up having nothing in common. What should i do?? (link)
You should go for it. Be confident in yourself and take a chance. To keep a good conversation, figure out what he likes and just talk to him. Even if you don't have things in common doesn't make it impossible. Worse comes to worse you could just hang out with your friends for the rest of the night. Good luck with everything :)

Ok so Im 13/f and I sweat majorly! I cant wear t-shirts that are tight against my arm pit. I have to wear big baggy shirts and tank tops. I have tried every single deoderant there is, every clinical things that dont work and I smell really bad when I sweat. I have tried everything! Help!! (link)
The website below has a lot of information about sweating, but if you're too worried, you could go to the doctor.

Hope this helps :)

I'd like to try lightening my hair with chamomile tea but when I googled it, all of the instructions said that metal pots alter the lightening effects of the tea. All I have is metal pots and I don't really want to go out and buy a new pot just to lighten my hair so I was wondering if theres a way to do it that will work? like boiling the water and then steeping the tea in something nonmetal? If not? what are some other nonharmful ways to lighten that I don't need a special pot for? I've heard of lemons and I've tried that but they really dry out my hair so I don't want to do that. (link)
I really don't know too much about the chamomile tea, but a natural, chemical free way to color hair is henna.

The websites are only a few places that sell henna dyes. Just a warning that henna doesn't work well for everybody and it's best if you read reviews before you purchase and have somebody to help you with it. Good luck :)

All my friends have a facebook. I really want one, but my mom, dad, and step dad say that I can't have one. How can I have one secretly (they all have facebooks) without them knowing?
fanks;)
(link)
It's not a good idea to go behind their backs. Trust me, I tried it a few years back and got in more trouble than I could ever imagine. They only want the best for you, it's better to wait until you are allowed to so you don't have to lie to them. And try to ignore the peer pressure :) it's always going to be there whether it's about facebook, drugs, sex, drinking, etc. Your parents set boundaries because they only want the best for you and don't want you to get into trouble. Once you cross one of those boundaries, it makes it harder to have the self control to keep with their rules.

I was made fun of a lot during school for my eyes and people would tell me to open my eyes and call me names..Do you think my eyes look slanted and how can I get them to not look like that without surgery? Makeup?

http://s1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh595/Daniellednm/action=view¤t=432329_3291916613461_1134120030_3422109_2108758971_n.jpg (link)
I think you are beautiful just the way you are, but I searched around for some different makeup techniques for slanted eyes. Most of what I found were ways to accentuate slanted eyes, not make them appear less slanted, so I didn't find too much, but I put some websites below that use makeup that might help. *Just a note: I don't have slanted eyes so I wasn't able to try any of these out to see if they work*

*Quick note on the last one: I wasn't able to get the specific eye shape page so just look for the column with the "Asian" heading (it should be the 4th from the left)*
Hope this helped :)

Please don't commit suicide. That is NOT God's plan for your life. Death and destruction are the works of Satan. Plus, it's not in anybody's place to take away a life, whether it be ours or somebody else's because all life belongs to God. God can help you through this temptation, just turn to him. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, the verse is “But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it”. God will help you through this if you turn to him and give him your heart and your faith. Also, tell somebody you know and trust about this. They can also help you. And call 1-800-273-8255 (National Suicide Prevention Lifeline).

There is this guy I want to get to know better and I have never really talked to him before. We have 2 classes together and I'm friends with 2 of his close friends. But I am gathering some friends to play soccer with me and my brother in a week or so and this guy really likes soccer and I wanted to ask him to come. Would this be a little weird? Should I invite him through his friends that I know? Thanks! (link)
I think you should go for it! You could simply bring it up in a conversation with him and maybe invite a friend of his that you are closer to as well to make it less awkward. Good luck :)

Hi, senior in high school. I know people use this excuse all the time but I promise you, my teacher is the worst and he is the reason I am failing chemistry. He can't teach to save his life. I have a 33% partially due to his terrible teaching and my lab partner failed every lab we ever did. The quarter is over on the 27 of this month. I am leaving for Europe on the 29 and he told me to get three chapters ahead so I won't be behind when I get back. I don't know how I can get 3 chapters ahead, when I'm failing what we are on now. So, my question is, I got accepted into my dream college, if I passed chemistry the first and second quarter, fail the third and pass the fourth, will I have to retake the course over the summer because I won't have enough credits? Will I not be able to go to college? I'm having a mini panic attack about this, I don't know what to do! (link)
The best thing to do is to have a talk with your chemistry teacher and your school counselor. Together, y'all can discuss the issue with your grades and how it might affect college because this will vary depending on the school you're at. I'm sure if it will have that much of an impact that you and your teacher could work out some sort of extra credit to help raise your grade. I hope this helped and good luck with everything :)

How do I get a better voice? I love to sing, but I kinda hate my voice. Is there any way to make my voice better other than practicing? Or is there any kind of vocal warm ups that REALLY work? (link)
I have the same problems as you, but lately I've tried a few things that have really helped me.
First, in my band class, we sing almost everyday (its really weird I know). Basically what we do is we have a "model" pitch (that needs to be in tune) which establishes a base pitch that you can refer to. Then, we practice singing up the scale of the pitch and different intervals in the scale pattern trying to keep our throats open, matching the strength of pitch (this basically means to not die away) as we get higher, and trying not to strain our voices (a big no no in singing) all while trying to remain in tune. Also, the website below has some good tips for singing. I hope this helped :)

I'm 11 years old and I want to lose weight BADLY. I think i'm really fat and I want yo lose weight. Any advice on losing weight? Please help as soon as you can! (link)
I just copied and pasted an old answer of mine from an question similar to this.

First off, I want to say that starving yourself, binging, or throwing up after you eat (which are common eating disorders) are NOT the answer to solve your problem. All they will do is destroy you body.
I too struggle with extra fat that I don't want. I try to eat healthier and include vitamins, fruits, and veggies in at least one meal per day. Avoid junk foods and eat fruits or a granola bar for a snack instead. *A little tip, it is better for your body to eat more meals with a smaller portion than it is to eat 1 huge meal per day, so keep this in mind.*
The other thing you need to do is exercise. Try to create an exercise plan where you do various exercises for all parts of the body, to balance it all. For example, you could do 15 minutes of cardio and then a few sets of abdominal workouts and push ups (you can research the specifics online). If you don't have time to exercise, there are plenty of easy mini exercises you could do while doing other things (it's very hard to describe these; if you want more information on them, just send me a message and I'll go more in depth). Exercise is important for your body for very many reasons (I won't go too in depth) and it is recommended that you exercise for about 30 minutes a day.
I hope this helped and good luck with losing that weight! :)

Would a guy have a girl with kind of bad acne? I have been having acne since elemetary school, and it never goes away. I've tried dermatologist and eveything and the doctors say that the medicine I use gets used to my face and the acne comes back. Sometimes my pimples get really big and I feel like my face is disgusting with scars and zits and then my face clears up and gets worse again. I think I have cystic acne. There are a few guys that have liked me, but I never talked to them because I think they may think my face is disgusting. And there has been guys that have made fun of me and have just been rude to me and call me zit face since elementary, so when a guy tells me he likes me, I just don't believe him. Would a guy date a girl with kind of bad acne? (link)
Don't worry. The right guy for you won't care about that. I have bad acne sometimes and I'm really self-conscious about it too, but I've still had boyfriends. As for the people who bother you about it, just ignore them. The nice thing about it all is that you know you are going to get a guy who doesn't care about if you have acne or what you look like. You'll get an amazing guy who loves you for who you are :)

So I was talking to this guy for awhile and one day he just stopped talking to me. He said he was busy with school but I just think he needed his space. He never had a girlfriend before so i thought maybe we got too close for comfort and he got netvous and ended it?This happened two months ago and I was liturally so depressed. I couldn't sleep or eat all I did was cry. Eventually it got easier over time and he would text me every two weeks to see how I was doing and I texted him every two weeks to see how he was too. Our conversations were short and it made me so sad. I loved how he would text me but it was just a reminder of what we had and how it's gone. So on Tuesday he texted me and we were talking and he was being so flirty again. And I said I was going to bed and he said he'll text me the next day. This is something I never thought would happen again. So we talked the next day like we used too and I kept telling myself not to get my hopes up and then in the middle of the conversation he just stopped talking to me, and hasn't talked to me since. I know I give him my everything and most effort. The first time he stopped any kind of relationship we had by stopped talking to me i beat myself up over it for so long because I didn't know what I did to make him leave and it took liturally everything out of me to just be able to get back to my somewhat normal self again. And now after that happened I feel shitty again. I honestly love him but the way he makes me feel is just horrible and he doesn't even know it. My question is what should I do with our relationship. If he texts me in two weeks what do I do? Should I text him back? Also what do you guys think is going on? Like why is he doing this and why and how can he change his mind so fast? I know I should get get over him but I just don't think I'm capable of doing that, Atleast for now. I feel like I'm not strong enough to ignore a text from him. I just really need advice! Thank you you so much in advanced! (link)
I was in a similar situation awhile back so I know how much it sucks. I think you need to talk to him about it first and ask him why he's doing it. Be honest with him and tell him that he's hurting you. Maybe he doesn't completely realize what he's doing. But if he doesn't make an effort, than you really to move on. He will not change and continue to hurt you. You need to do whatever is best for yourself and cut all ties with him. As for why he's doing it, it could be anything. Some guys are just that way. I made the mistake of becoming friends with a player and in the end, I'm glad that I got away from him because he would make me feel so crappy when he would stop our conversations so abruptly. So good luck with everything :)

I am looking at clothes on-line, and some are XXL and some are 2XL and it seems like these should be the same thing, right? But if they are the same thing, then why do they call them two different things? Clothing sizes are confusing enough without making up different names for the same things! Are they different? (link)
"Depends on the manufacturer.

XXL is often a half-size bigger than XL, but not as big as a "true" 2X.

2XL can mean "double big AND extra LONG. which is still not the same as an XXLT, which is double big and TALL.

Its all code language and all specific to each individual maker."

I found the answer above on yahoo answers that kind of explains it in detail, but yes they are basically the same thing although most clothing sizes will vary depending on the manufacturer. Before buying clothes online, it is best to have tried on clothes from the store so you get an estimate on how their brand of clothes fits up. I hope this helped :)

Here's the thing. I'll be starting high school next year, and I have absolutely no idea what I'd like to do in University. I know, I know, the first thing that comes to mind is something along the lines of "You have so much time to plan for the future, just relax and enjoy life, kid." I'm simply wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

I've always liked math and science, and, not to brag, but I've done very well in both this year. Actually, all of my marks were above 95%. I am fluent in both English and French.

I am very squemish when it comes to most medical situations, such as surgery, vaccinations, bloodwork, etc. I dislike public speaking, and I'm the farthest thing from artistic or creative on this planet. I probably have average computer skills, not that I'm interesting in technology that much.

So, all that being said, does anyone have any career suggestions? Anything at all? I don't mind working hard or attending school for several more years, and I don't have to be a millionaire. I'm just looking for any ideas that might spark my interest or jumpstart some inner hidden passion for something.

Thanks in advance. (link)
I'm actually in high school right now :)
It's great that you are already thinking that far ahead. Most high schools actually offer certain classes specific to different occupations. For example, I am taking Principles of Health Science. It is basically a medical class that I'm taking because I plan on going to medical school after college. My opinion is going to be kind of limited, mostly because I've planned on going into the medical field for a very long time. I just want to say that you should give the medical field a chance. Unlike the stereotype that it is given, many health occupations don't require you to be around patients or sick people. Some examples are researching, x ray technicians, and medical records careers. One of the other reasons why I am suggesting this is because you have to be good at both math and science to do well in these types of careers. Also, it won't be as hard to find a job as people will always need these kind of careers. On the other hand, during course selection (whenever that it for you), look at some of the electives they offer that could possibly interest you, take them, and that could help you determine you interests a little more specifically. Because you aren't into technology, what about business marketing?
Anyways, just try to think of things that you like to do. Most likely, there will be some sort of related job out there for anything you want to do. I hope this helped and good luck :)

i cut myself, arms, wrist, legs. & i want to stop but idk how. i've tried the rubber band trick but i doesnt work it makes me want to do it more. :/ & everytime my friends confiscate my scissors, blades, etc. i get really mad and i do it even more. Help? :/ (link)
You need to ask yourself why you are cutting. Is it because you are depressed? If it is, then you really need to talk to a parent or trusted adult that can get you the help you need before it gets to out of hand. On the other hand, it could be an addiction. In addition to getting help from people who do know you better, there are a few things that you could try.
The biggest part of stopping is self control. You need to control your urge to hurt yourself. Looking back on the times that I had cut myself, I remember that every time I had some sort of urge, I had a moment of weakness and would hurt myself with anything I could find. Now, I am able to control that because I removed all the things that I could find that could hurt me and I told myself that it wasn't healthy. Eventually, it could get worse and you might accidentally hurt yourself more than you attempted to do.
And then think about people you love. They would hate to see you in pain. That's why your friends take those things away from you. They love you and it puts them in pain to see you do something so self destructive.
Try to keep yourself busy. When you are doing other things that require you to think, you are distracted from all that. And keep a positive attitude about things. Tell yourself that you can stop, but you have to try and believe that you can. Stopping is hard to do by yourself, so don't feel like you can't turn to others around you to help. They will do the best they can to help you and will be there with you as you complete the journey to recovery.

I run about 3 miles a day. The problem is to apparently grow your hair "out" you're not suppose to wash it everyday. The natural oils are suppose to help it grow. I have a hard time not washing my hair because after running that amount of distance my hair is drenched in sweat and its disgusting to not wash it. Anyways, eventually my hair will get to where my boobs are, and it looks extremely dead. Once I get it trimmed, i'm back to where it started when I first got it cut. My hair is also extremely thin and dry. (link)
I used to have the same problem. But I actually wash my hair almost everyday (I skip a day about every 1-2 weeks) because I have super oily hair and it gets dirty really easily. My hair used to grow really slow, then I started looking closely at what I do to my hair and the products I use. I learned a few things to do that can help grow hair faster and make it healthier. First off, stay away from heated products. This includes blow drying your hair. Next, make sure your diet is healthy and full of vitamins. As for good shampoos and conditions, I recommend Mane N' Tail and Aussie. Mane N' Tail is actually most known for hair growth and thicker and healthier hair. The only problem is that it doesn't work for everybody, so you should try it out only once or twice a week to see how it works. Most people shouldn't use it everyday because it dries hair out; the only reason I do is because my hair is oily enough to handle it. Also, if you don't want to wash your hair everyday, you could try dry shampoo. I'm not sure how well it works, but many people have recommended using it. Lastly, try to trim your split ends about every 4-6 weeks. This prevents them from getting worse and eventually having to cut off more hair. I hope this helped and if you have any more questions just send me a message! :)

I've been eating junk food everyday and reached the point where I need a lot of exercise and healthy eating. What food and exercise styles do you recommend? Thanks!

Oh, here's the link :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ce4L-Kc_mo8 (link)
*Sorry about the length. It tried to make it kinda detailed, but if you want more info, just send me a message*
For the healthy eating part, try to eat food in smaller amounts. This way, you still get to eat often but in smaller portions. In fact, this is healthier than eating fewer large meals per day. Try to make sure to include at least some kind of fruit or vegetable (or both if you can) in each meal. Fruit smoothies are also a really good way to get the nutrients you need but still have a sweet, filling snack at the same time. For the summer, you could also try eating fruit popsicles. I believe that there's quite a few brands with real fruit as some of the ingredients. If you can't find any, you could always just freeze a smoothie into a mold with a stick. Also, try to drink a lot of water throughout the day.
For the exercising aspect, you should develop an exercise plan. The purpose is to control the amount of exercise you do for certain parts of your body. For example, one day you could jog for 15 minutes (cardio), do 2 sets of 25 basic crunches (abdominal), and lift weights. There are a few things to remember. One, do not exercise only certain muscles; instead try to vary your workout. Two, don't overwork yourself. If you are tired, take a break. It is harder on your body if you try to strain yourself. And lastly, remember that this takes endurance. Start little and gradually increase your endurance. It might take awhile, but this is a long term project to becoming a healthier person :)

So I have had glasses the past like 5 or more years but I never really wore them. All of a sudden my eye sight started getting blurry today every once in a while. I had a hard time typing the begginning of this becaue of the blurriness. Could it be because I am not wearing glasses? I look so stupid in glasses and I really hate wearing them. I have gone without them all these years! And I eat my fare share of carrots....
Thanks! :D (link)
When I first got glasses, which was like ages ago, I hardly wore them for the first year. I went back for an eye exam and found out that my eye sight had gotten even worse mostly because I didn't wear glasses when I needed to. I would suggest going to see your optometrist and talking to them more about it, but I'm sure they will tell you that some of the cause if because you aren't wearing glasses. You could also ask about getting contacts. Personally, I don't prefer them because they dry out my eyes, but I know many people who wear contacts without a problem. I hope this helped!
