how can I have a facebook without my parents finding out about it?
All my friends have a facebook. I really want one, but my mom, dad, and step dad say that I can't have one. How can I have one secretly (they all have facebooks) without them knowing?

Hey, I had a Facebook without my parents permission for a year and a half without them knowing about it until they finally let me get one. My parents are super overprotective over me, but fortunately neither one had a facebook or was very good with computers so they never knew I had one. What I did was make my facebook name a variation of my real name- in case my parents decided to look me up for whatever reason- as a protective measure. The entire time I had it without permission though, I was terribly afraid they would find out and I would be in HUGE trouble. Fortunately, they still don't know that I had one before they let me. But honestly, Facebook is a ton of fun at first , and then it becomes a time waster. Major time waster. If you have a cell phone, communicate with peers through texting until you can get a Facebook. Try to negotiate an age where you can get one. Otherwise, you can just make one and not tell them an hope that they don't find out! Good luck and I hope I was somewhat helpful!

The reason they don't want you to have a facebook page (the real reason) is because they don't want you exposed to a very cruel world. I know that is stupid to you but as a person who sees the darkest sides of socity I garente you your pictures and stories and posts will be taken and used against you. Ananimity is a good thing

I wholeheartedly agree with mannequin. You will only cause so much trouble for yourself if you hide things from them and they find out. The best thing to do is to sit down with your family and have a talk about why you think you should be allowed to have one and ask why they are so set on you not having one. Sometimes all it takes is a little communication to show your parents that you are mature enough to do things they wouldn't have approved of before. If they still say no and they give you valid reasoning as to why, then accept it. It's not the end of the world. Just because some of your friends have facebook does not mean you're any less of a friend to them. It's really not that big of a deal. I'm sure that in time you will be allowed. Just be patient and prove to your parents that you can handle responsibilities and make smart decisions.

It's not a good idea to go behind their backs. Trust me, I tried it a few years back and got in more trouble than I could ever imagine. They only want the best for you, it's better to wait until you are allowed to so you don't have to lie to them. And try to ignore the peer pressure :) it's always going to be there whether it's about facebook, drugs, sex, drinking, etc. Your parents set boundaries because they only want the best for you and don't want you to get into trouble. Once you cross one of those boundaries, it makes it harder to have the self control to keep with their rules.

The only way I can think of for yur parents not knowing you have a facebook is to just make one but don't put your real name. And when you have to add your friends or whatever , then just tell them that it's you and tell them why you have a fake name. Hope this helps.

well u can open your facebook account bby using your petname which your parents dont know and your friends know, like for example my parents call me at home is honey and all my friends call me as babydoll so, i opened in the name of babydoll which my parents cannot know. so well u can try it out like that otherwise......
