Glasses....

Question Posted Monday February 27 2012, 10:23 pm

So I have had glasses the past like 5 or more years but I never really wore them. All of a sudden my eye sight started getting blurry today every once in a while. I had a hard time typing the begginning of this becaue of the blurriness. Could it be because I am not wearing glasses? I look so stupid in glasses and I really hate wearing them. I have gone without them all these years! And I eat my fare share of carrots....
Thanks! :D

When I first got glasses, which was like ages ago, I hardly wore them for the first year. I went back for an eye exam and found out that my eye sight had gotten even worse mostly because I didn't wear glasses when I needed to. I would suggest going to see your optometrist and talking to them more about it, but I'm sure they will tell you that some of the cause if because you aren't wearing glasses. You could also ask about getting contacts. Personally, I don't prefer them because they dry out my eyes, but I know many people who wear contacts without a problem. I hope this helped!

I just want to say that this happened to me also so I decided to get glasses well because I am on the computer 8-9 hours a day doing school work. I got glasses and can see better and don't get any headaches. I got a prescription and that was the computer glasses. I suggest going to a Walmart with a vision center. That's where I went ans saved tons of money . There eye exams are 58 dollars and the glasses range from free to 200+ You will need to get the eye exam just to make sure and if that doctor says something like you should go to a ear, nose, and thought doctor then go.
Hope I helped and just to let you know Walmart cares and gives you good respect.
Hope I helped

P.S. yes i got glasses and I can see better. if you have problems with seeing far or seeing close as well as the computer I suggest getting bifocals and if you don't want to get a line then get no-line bifocals. Once again I hope I helped.

You may have been affected by being banged into something, getting hit in the head or something like that could've caused a fast change. If you are not comfortable with glasses try contacts. I say yu fo see and Eye doctor and make sure everything's ok. Vision is important.
sorry and good luck
