lightening hair with chamomile tea or other nonharmful ways?

Question Posted Saturday March 17 2012, 1:25 am

I'd like to try lightening my hair with chamomile tea but when I googled it, all of the instructions said that metal pots alter the lightening effects of the tea. All I have is metal pots and I don't really want to go out and buy a new pot just to lighten my hair so I was wondering if theres a way to do it that will work? like boiling the water and then steeping the tea in something nonmetal? If not? what are some other nonharmful ways to lighten that I don't need a special pot for? I've heard of lemons and I've tried that but they really dry out my hair so I don't want to do that.

I really don't know too much about the chamomile tea, but a natural, chemical free way to color hair is henna.

The websites are only a few places that sell henna dyes. Just a warning that henna doesn't work well for everybody and it's best if you read reviews before you purchase and have somebody to help you with it. Good luck :)
