I have windows me and i cant find my soundcard on the comp. i have no sound and its really annoying.My g/fs mom said it could have deleted itself is that true and if so how can i get it back.ill rate high to any helpful information!! (link)

A sound card can't delete itself. A sound card is a piece of hardware. Do you have speakers? If so then make sure they're plugged in and that the volume's turned up.

Is there a site on the internet (like cdzinc.com) that provides free listening music to everyone? I don't mean one of those illegal downloading sites, just a site where you can listen to the music but not download it. (link)

www.mtv.com has a lot of free music videos. When I want music I use www.espew.com but i'm not sure how legal it is.

Does anyone else have a problem with clicking on links? Im pretty sure i have spyware and i dont know how to get rid of it. every time i go to click on a link, daosearch.com pops up with a search for what i clicked on. how do i get rid of it? i cant even look at shirts on hollister.com because i cant click on the links. I use Ad-Aware to find and delete spyware. You can get it from www.download.com.

Sometimes, out of no where, i'll get dizzy, my head will feel weird, and i see these weird grey swirls. i cant see anything else. it goes away pretty quick, but its incredibly weird. does anyone know what this could be? thanks. (link)

I've heard that people sometimes see colours jumping around when they get migranes. It could be that you're going to start suffering from them. On the other hand it could be that you stood up too quickly or something small like that. If I were you I'd go and see a doctor, just to be sure.

O.K., Im thinking about downloading AIM onto my computer, but Im afraid it will give me a virus. If I get a virus my parents will KILL me! Does anyone have it and can tell me whether its ever given you a virus or someone you know? Thanks! All my friends have it and they've never gotten viruses before, but I need to make sure. THANKS! If you download aim from www.aim.com there's no way you'll get a virus from it. Viruses come from bad attatchments and dodgy websites, you won't get one if you download aim.

i have a hp computer (im on my little sisters right now) but anyway a couple of days ago i was signed on aim only and then all of a suddent the screen went blue and it was like "to prevent you computer from harming your files and folders it shut down" or something like that and then it said it was dumping the physical memory so i let it do that and when it was done i restarted my computer and a black screen pops up that says there was an error and then it asks how i would like to start up my computer, iv done everyway but it still wont work and then after the blue screen pops up!! i really need to get on so if anyone could help me that would be great (link)

That sort of thing's happened to me a couple of times. I fixed it with a clean re install of windows (but in one case even this didn't work, it needed a new hard drive). If you want your stuff recovered you can take it to a computer shop and see if they'll do it (but this could cost quite a bit).

Any time I get a "page not found" thing on my window (like when i try to type in an incorrect address or something) and try to use the back button, my computer starts acting crazy and all these windows pop up, like at least 25 of them and i can't exit out of them (and they're all blank...its not like pop up adds or anything, but they do have an address at the top with a bunch of letters, numbers, slashes, etc.). whats wrong with it and can I prevent this from happening?? As well as what everyone else said you could also try using a program called hijackthis. Hijackthis scans your computer and creates a log which will tell you if there's any spyware or viruses in your computer. Hijackthis logs are hard to understand so you may need to post the log on a message board somewhere and see if anyone can help you.

OKay well i just got myself into a lot of trouble with my parents... see i got a cell phone last year and i was text messaging and got charged a lot of money. well they tol me not to do it and i did it again... and yet again they told me to stop. well today they approached me and found out i had sent over 100$ worth for last month. i apoligized... but im grounded til school is let out... they guy i like just asked me out yesterday so im kinda in a bad situationi called hima nd told him and he seemed cool with it... but #1 how can i keep from losing him? Get a pay as you go phone and pay for it yourself. Then you won't get in trouble with your parents because you'll be paying. Also there are websites that you can use to send texts for free. I use www.02.co.uk but i'm not sure if it works outside the UK. There are probably sites that work for other countries, google it and see what you find.

I have a myspace account and I can't seem to log in. I keep logging in and it always brings me to this page that says "You must be logged in to do that!". I clicked on the forgot password thing just to make sure I was putting in the right password and then I went into my email and now I cant get logged into my email. Any clue what's going on? This is driving me insane. I have a yahoo email account if that would help any. (link)

Does myspace need cookies enabled to work properly? And if so do you have cookies enabled? If you're using Internet Explorer then go to the tools menu, select internet options and click the provacy tab. Setting the slider to medium should allow you to get into these websites. If it's not that it might be a problem with your temporary internet files. To clear your temporary internet files go to internet options an select the general tab. Then press the delete files button. If you've set any web sites to let you stay logged in all the time then you'll need to log back in after you've done this.

i like this guy alot. we went out last summer but broke up for a stupid reason. Well, my dad found out some stuff that me and him did, and told austin(my ex) not to talk to me again. So of course he hasn't. We see each other all the time and i miss him alot. He has a girlfriend, but i still want him back. A couple of weeks ago my friend asked him if he would ever go back out wtih me and he was like "umm .. i gotta get to class" so then the next day she asked again and he said "umm ... i got a girlfriend right now" ... he didnt say yes or no. But the other day when someone asked if he liked this other girl, he said no about her. nd there is one of his friends, B.j, and we all go to the same church. B.j likes me and i think i like him too. But not as much as i do austin. Well B.j was telling everyone he likes me adn taht i was hott and he wanted to go out with me, then he found out i didnt like him, so he got mad and said he didnt want to go out with me. Last ngiht at churhc, he wouldnt even talk to me. I am so confused. Ohh and about the austin thing, my dad told him to never talk to me again or look at me or even come near me, so when he sees me he avoids me, but he still looks at me alot. My dad told me yesterday i could start talkin to him again, but im too shy to. So my questions are .. What all should i do? and should i tell both of them i like them or not? and do you think austin still likes me? any help is welcome!!!! (link)

It definitely sounds like austin likes you. You should probably let him know that you still like him and see what happens (it doesn't sound like this girlfriend of his will be an issue). If you like B.J then tell him, it sounds like he's upset. Ignore that bit if you end up getting back with austin, otherwise you could get into a bit of an akward situation.

My partner and I are from Auckland, New Zealand. My partners sister gave her son who at the time was 5 mnths (so she had only had him for 5 mnths) when she gave him to us to take care of. (we are a same sex couple) We hvae now been taking care of him for 1 whole year now, she signed a letter stating my partner is now the gardian of her son and we have been providing for him for a whole year. Our question is, as we have nothing legal stating he is my partners, we are scared she could take him back at any time. We realise if we wanted to do any legal adoption we we need to have her permission but does anyone know if we have any legal rights as his gardian if she were to come back say after 2-3 years and say she wants him back?
Any legal advice on this matter would be great as he is our life and we will fight her all the way if she were to come back (link)

I'm no expert on the legal system but if I were you I'd keep hold of that letter. If she decides she wants him back then it might help you.

ok well something happened to our comp and my dad has to uninstall and reinstall and i have all these pics on my comp and i want to save them but i dont know how. i have too many for floppy disks because it would be using way to many of them. i have cd-r and dvd-r disk and i was wondering if i could save pics on them and if i can how? if i cant use that kind what should i use? i have a cd burner but i am not sure how to get the pics on the disk.. plz help i have less than a week to do this! A cd's probably the best way to save them. Usually to burn a cd you need a cd burning program. If you haven't got one then get nero burning rom (http://www.nero.com). There's a free demo version that'll do what you need and it's very easy to understand.

In high school, we get to choose which language we want to take- French or Spanish. I signed up for Spanish, but I'm having second thoughts. I like French a lot more, but I want to do what's best for me. Does anyone have any pros or cons for taking a certain language, or just general advice on what I should do? Thanks! (link)

I did french in school and hated it. It's a boring subject and you won't really need it (the french are very good at english). I'm told that people enjoy spanish more. If I had to do pick one i'd go with spanish.

I already saw someone with an ADD question, but I'd thought I'd make my own. Lately I haven't been concentrating on anything in class. I don't have THAT much stuff on my mind, and when some people get bored, they're still able to concentrate--just being bored. I can't even do that. My question is, what are the signs of having ADD, and what is it exactly?? I would tell myself in class, "Okay, I need to concentrate..." seriously like 10 seconds later, I'm off in space again...and I won't realize it until like a minute later, and even then I won't concentrate, I'll just keep thinking about other things. And that same pattern just goes on and on again...
Also, if you for sure have ADD, what are you supposed to do about it? Do they give you medicine or anything? (link)

I have the same problem. When teachers are talking I drift off in a world of my own. I'm pretty sure I don't have add, I just can't concentrate on boring stuff.

I am no stranger to the behaviour of most guys. Very sexual, like the jokes about sex but I have a slight problem, I don't know how to react. I have a few guys that are bothering me at this time I will explain. Well this boy called karl right he's 17 and i'm 14, well basically he wants sex and he keeps pestering me he tried to touch me up and I don't know what to do. Some boys just fancy me and I can take that. There's this other boy called Steve who's 16 but he thinks i'm going to go out with him and tries to get me to cheat on my boyfriend and his girlfriend which gets me in trouble with his girlfriend. Another boy I don't see but he's really nice, prob is he calls me all these names and keeps asking me out. okay, I didn't really think I'd get any more answers to my previous question, so I'm going to put my addition to my additional answer here.
Here is my question. When you cut yourself, which by the way I'm trying to stop, so I don't really need help there, I was wondering, will the scars ever go away? Because I cut first letter of my first name in my arm, and now I regret it, and it's not that deep. None of the cuts I made had actually bled, they jstu got scabs over them. So will the scars be there forever? (link)

It would depend on the scar. I've got a scar on my hand from when i got hit by a car a couple of years ago and it hasn't shown any signs of going away.

It sounds like your screen resolution's on a low setting. Right click on an empty section of the desktop, select properties and go to the settings tab. Then select a higher screen resolution. The higher the number the smaller everything'll get. Most computers are set to either 800x600 or 1024x768.
