Alright well I'm 15/f & if this is helpful live in the midsouth area.
I turn 16 in about 8 months and I am trying to save up for a car.
I can't really get an official job like for example working at a clothes store for a few reasons but the top one is I am not 16. I know I could get a work permit but it is also hard to get hired when your 15. Anyway so 3 questions I am asking... 1) Are there any jobs I could more easily get without so much hassle for the employers? 2) What are some other things I could do & how would I get people to know about it? 3) How are some efficient ways I could save up?

Places like McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King, etc. will hire 15 year olds that have work permits. A lot of other places like clothing stores won't even interview you until you're officially 16 years old. If you don't want to work in fast food at all, you should wait until you have your birthday. While you're waiting for a job to come through for you, you could do things around the house (mow, do laundrey and other chores that need to be done) or babysit for family members or people in your neighborhood. As far as saving the money goes... I reccomend putting all of the money that is for the car into a savings account in your bank. That's where I put all my money that's for college and car expenses so that I'm not tempted to spend it all every time I go to the mall. You don't have to save every penny you make because it's always nice to buy something new every once in awhile, but you should be saving the majority of what you make so that you can afford a new car ASAP.

My father is turning 90 years old soon. Recently I heard that my nephew's wife was planning his birthday party. She told my sister this. I mentioned to my sister that I was not thrilled that my nephew's wife would take that responsibility on as I believe it should be up to my sister and I, not my nephew's wife. When I contacted my niece about attending the party she told me that she had already been contacted by my nephew's wife. I think that is presumptous of my nephew's wife to make plans like that without talking to me. Am I correct? (link)

I think you're right about this. It's your father that's having the 90th birthday, not hers. By her having the party for him it might make it look like you and your sister "don't care".. or whatever. I know that's not the truth, but it could come across that way. I think that your nephew's wife was way out of line, but she was just trying to do something nice. Maybe she feels like she doesn't fit in with the family and doing something like this will make everyone like her. You and your sister should try talking to her about this. She might be willing to back down about the party, but if not you should try to help her with the planning as much as possible.

I have a huge, ugly pimple on my face and I need it gone by tomorrow. I rarely ever get pimples and when I do, they are easy to get rid of, but not this one! Are there any at home remedies I could try? I have a very important event to go to tomorrow and I can't have this thing on my face! (link)

Try putting rubbing alcohol on the area where the pimple is. The alcohol dries out the pimples very well. There might still be some redness in the area, but it's easy to cover up with a liquid foundation.

I went to a college visit over spring break and they told us that you should go to school for about two weeks and then start sending in your applications. Some of the schools might not have them posted yet. Most have websites with places to submit your name and address so that an application can be sent to you.

There's really no way to "prove it" to other people. They're just talking about you because they have nothing better to do. People say the same things about me, but if you KNOW that it's not the truth, it shouldn't bother you. They'll find someone new to talk about before long and no one will even remember that they said all that stuff. If they actually say something to your face about it, you should just tell them to mind their own business. If their lives are so boring that they have to make up rumors about people... they must need something to do.

Everyone says American Eagle is the best store, but personally I hate it. All of their t-shirts are basically the same things with different words and colors. A lot of their clothes are really bad quality. I bought a cami from there once and I only wore it once and a HUGE hole ripped and I wasn't even running around or anything. It may be a little cheaper then Abercrombie & Fitch or Hollister, but atleast if you buy something from A&F or Hollister, you know the clothes are going to last. American Eagle's clothes arn't the most attractive things, and they look cheap. What do you think about AE? (link)

I think that most people shop at AE to say that they shop there. The clothes that they sell there generally do tend to be very low quality for the money that they charge for them. You could probably get something that's a lot cheaper and a lot nicer at Target. If you don't like their clothes you shouldn't shop there. Other people probably won't stop shopping there until some other store becomes "cool".

Me and my mom are very open with eachother and she was telling me a lot of stuff. She's 44 now and during her whole life she's NEVER worn a thong, never shaved her pussy, never fingered anyone or gave anyone a handjob or blow job, never masturbated, only made out with someone 3 times, and she's only had sex 2 times in her whole life and those 2 times were when me and my sister were born. To start off with, I think every kid thinks that their mom is a prude. Most moms don't want their kids doing all the stuff that they did when they were younger. It's really none of your business about your mom's sex life... and probably nothing that you really want to think about. I think that's it's best to let sleeping dogs lie in this case... just forget about it. And if she really is telling you the truth, she probably is a prude.

My boyfriend tends to lie to me about stupid things..like money. If he has 100 bucks he tells me he only has 50 and such. And I have caught him in his lies so many times. He told me that he woul d stop because he didn't know that i cared that he lied about stupid stuff like that.But in my opinion if he lies to me about small things than he's lied to me about more important things.What should I do to get it through his head that I don't appreciate him lying to me all the time. I know people that compulsivly lie like this and they've been doing it for their entire life, some of them. If you can't handle him lying to you, you need to end the relationship. You're probably right.. if he lies about stupid things then he will probably tend to lie about the big stuff too. Maybe if you threaten to leave him, the shock will snap him back into reality and hopefully stop the lying.

You need to either suck it up and go to your regular doctor.. reguardless of how embarassed you are.. or go to one of the many free and confidential clinics that are all around the country. If you really do have chlymidia, you need to get treated for it right away. Places like Planned Parenthood offer STD screenings and treatments for relativly cheap prices. If there isn't a Planned Parenthood close to where you live you should look in the phone book for the locations of some clinics that offer similar services.

No legal action will be taken against you for being underage and attempting to buy cigarettes. More than likely, the person behind the register will just tell you that they can't sell it to you without and ID. Most places have the policy that they card anyone who appears to be under the age of 40. Some places don't card at all because they think that they're not going to get caught, but eventually they will because most police stations do stings and end up handing out a lot of fines.

They make pads that are better suited for night time use. I would reccomend getting those because they're bigger and more absorband than the regular style ones.

I would have to agree that it's hard at this stage. You've been together for awhile, but not what seems like "forever". What I reccomend is spending a little more time apart if you're one of those couples that is together every second of every day. This makes every time that you see each other a little more special than if you were seeing each other every single day. Distance really does make the heart grow fonder, in my mind. You could also try planning something that you wouldn't normally do. Such as going to a concert, a water park, amusement park, etc.

My teeth are a little discolored. Not from smoking or coffee or tea, but they are a little yellow. One problem: I have braces. Can I use something to whiten my teeth now or do I need to wait until they're off? (link)

You should definatly wait till your braces come off to do any type of whitening treatment. Braces are hard to take care of on a daily basis, but your teeth should look somewhat whiter after you get your teeth cleaned at the dentist's office.

Plain black coffee doesn't have many calories at all. Most of the calories come from adding things like milk, cream, sugar, and other things such as CoffeeMate. Those coffee drinks that come from places like Starbucks tend to have a lot of calories in them also because they have a lot more things in them than just the regular stuff that comes from your coffee pot at home. I would reccomend not going to starbucks too often if you're looking for low fat coffee.

the plastic clip in the back of my bathing suit, that rests on my back, broke.is there any way i can fix it?can i maybe buy a new plastic clip, take the thread that holds the clip on, slip the new clip on, and re-sew it together?is it even possible to buy a new clip for it?and if so where can i buy it?

You can get new clips for your bathing suit at the fabric store. There are ususally about three or four sizes to choose from and they aren't usually very expensive (usually less than $5).

Hi, I've been on my period for 2 years now. Im 14, and i'll be 15 in august. When I get my period, I get it REALLY bad, especially my cramps. They are always so bad that I cant walk, I cry, and I cant do any normal things, I just have to lay down throughout the day in pain until my period is over. When I had school, I couldn't even make it to school,and I would always have to go home during the day. My cramps usually last throughout the whole entire period but their not as bad at the end. I also have every single symptom a girl gets when shes on period, such as bloating,PMS,boob pains, and all this other stuff. Also when Im on my period my whole body is messed up, like Im sick. I also get lightheaded and sick to my stomach.
I tried advil for my cramps and it only makes them worse. Extra strength tylonal works for me but not enough as it should.
Is all of this normal? All my friends dont have this problem. My mom does so it could be genetics.
Should I go to the doctor?

This is definatly normal. You should expect to have some discomfort while on your period. That's only normal. I think that going to the doctor would definatly be a good choice in this situation. Most people's period cramps and pains aren't serious enough to warrant it, but it sounds like yours are. See if he can prescribe you some stronger pain killers or maybe see about getting on birth control. "The pill" is supposed to help relieve some of the pain from cramping.

First of all, you need to find out for sure if you are pregnant. Take a home pregnancy test. I would reccomend getting a box of them that has more than one. Sometimes the tests can give a false positive, but there is no false negative if you use the test right. Make sure you read the directions that come in the box very carefully to avoid doing anything wrong. A good brand that is reliable but inexpensive is the Walgreens brand called "Answer". If it turns out that you are pregnant, you need to research all of your options very carefully before doing anything drastic.

Well, whenever me and my two best friends hang out it's all good and we're all happy and talkative with eachother. But lately, this one girl has started to come in and talk to us and whenever she does, I tend to get the left-out feeling. I'll talk but my two other friends'll be like,"Wait, what did you say?" and they sort of pay more attention to her and walk with her more. So basically, I get the boot. But like I said, whenever she's NOT there we're all completely fine and everything.
I just don't know how to handle her whenever she's there.
It's getting to the point that whenever they want her to hang out with all of us I have to make up a lie of some sort so she wouldn't be able to come along.

You should try hanging out with the new girl to your group just one on one. She probably doesn't know you as well as she knows your two friends. She probably feels like she's left out at some times too because you three have been friends for awhile already.
If that's not an option, talking to your friends is always one. They'll probably understand where you're coming from because everyone knows how it feels to get left out. Maybe they'd be willing to hang out with you sometimes and with her other times. I suggest getting to know the girl a little better, though.

I worked during the Christmas season and am filling out an application for AE and it's aking me whether they should be contacted. Does anyone know if they provide references? And if so, what do they say? Do they just confirm that I worked there or do they give out details? (link)

These stores can and probably will provide a referance if you ask the manager to. AE won't contact your past employers if you check the box indicating that you don't want them to. I'm pretty sure that when they call they will confirm that you worked there and also ask things about your past attendance records, lateness, willingness to work, and so on. They might also ask past employers if they would re-hire you again if you were to apply.
I would reccomend letting them call your past employers because it doesn't really look good if you say that you don't want them to. It makes it look like you're trying to hide something.

You should wash your clothes in cold water and then let them hang dry. It takes a lot longer that way, but your clothes won't shrink. They should stay the same size as they were when you bought them.
