Dryers tend to shrink clothes. And always buy clothes a size bigger if you're planning to wear them and dry them a lot. Thats what I always do, because then after I dry them a few times they dont fit, even if they are my size.
Good luck [ H3arts_Collid3's advice column | Ask H3arts_Collid3 A Question ]
Moop answered Friday June 30 2006, 11:32 pm: two solutions:
1. use cold water and cold water detergents and never dry them by machine.
2. buy more expensive clothes. typically, the better quality garments have had all of their fabric pre-shrunk because manufacturers care for their consumers.
an extra note: denim typically shrinks after every washing no matter what, but it softens as it's worn. by wearing jeans until they become "too loose" you prolong the life of your denim because less bleach from detergents hits the pants. less bleach comes in contact with the fibers and they don't deteriorate as fast. bottom line: don't wash your jeans as often as other clothes. devilspawn_666 answered Friday June 30 2006, 6:56 pm: You should wash your clothes in cold water and then let them hang dry. It takes a lot longer that way, but your clothes won't shrink. They should stay the same size as they were when you bought them. [ devilspawn_666's advice column | Ask devilspawn_666 A Question ]
