Ok so I just turned 13 and Im a female. I just graduated from grade 7 and I have a boyfriend (plz dont say Im too young to date). Today, I had a shower in the middle of the day because no one except me was home and I wouldnt get yelled at for using alot of hot water. After I washed my hair and body, I thought of something. The word "masterbation" just popped into my mind. I heard of masterbation just a few days ago in health class and I thought about the idea. I've tried to masterbate but everytime I've gotten scared. Is it completely safe? Well anyways, I was in the shower and so while I was standing up, we have this low shelf thats like a bench in the shower that we put shampoo and conditioner on and I placed one leg on the shelf and looked down. I got nervous but I NEEDED to know the experience of masterbation. I found my vagina and I carefully pushed in my middle finger ever so slightly into it, (2 fingers wouldnt fit and i didnt even want to try 2). I counted to 60 (1minute), and every 10 seconds I counted I would wedge my finger in my vagina a bit more until I got to 60 and my middle finger completely vanished into my vagina. The pleasure was over welming and it just felt to good, (I'd been in alot of stress lately), and at 60seconds I just didnt want to stop. I slid my finger easily into my vagina and did this for another 30 seconds until I heard my parents car turn into the driveway. I pulled my finger out of my vagina and when I looked at my finger, it had this white gooey stuff on it.
So I have a few questions:-
-What was the gooey stuff? and is masterbation safe?
-Should I start shaving my pubic hair at this age?
-Should I masterbate again?
-Will anyone except me ever know that I masterbated because my mom wants me to try putting in a tampon tomorrow because thats when my period hits and will there be any signals that I masterbated?
Thank you and please only girls give advice.. (link)

Masturbation is completely normal, you are getting to know the more intimate parts of your body that you have never really explored before. Both girls and boys masturbate - some do and some don't, it's up the person if they want to masturbate or not and there is nothing wrong with pleasing your self sexually. Now to answer your questions.
What was the gooey stuff? and is masturbation safe?
The gooey stuff is fluids from arousal as well as your normal cervical mucus (Vaginal discharge). It's completely normal to have fluids from arousal as well as vaginal discharge. Masturbation is safe so there isn't anything to worry about.
Should I start shaving my pubic hair at this age?
You can start shaving your pubic hair if you want to. Some girls do and some don't, it's up to you. There is no age limit to start shaving. You can get rid of pubic hair by either shaving, waxing or trimming - like I said it's up to you, no health benefits are associated with removing pubic hair, so choose what feels right for you. If you do shave then I would shaving cream to help protect sensitive skin and moisturizer at the end. Apply moisturizer around your pubic area (not actually in your vagina) but where you shaved your pubic hair.
Should I masturbate again?
If you want to then go ahead. There's no problem with doing it again. Masturbating is generally done in private and girls don't really share with their parents about masturbating (it's not a topic a girl would share with their parents. It's done to please your self and there is no need to share it with anyone (unless you are masturbating together with someone else or several people).
Will anyone except me ever know that I masturbated because my mom wants me to try putting in a tampon tomorrow because that's when my period hits and will there be any signals that I masturbated?
No one will know you masturbated unless you tell them or you get caught masturbating. As for will they accept you well if you do tell or you get caught (the only way they will know you masturbated)it depends on the parents on whether they will accept you. It can be embarrassing if you do get caught. There are some parents who are ok with it and some parents are not ok with their child masturbating. I know that when I got caught the my hand "down there" my mom was like "Get your hand away from there it's disgusting". So yeah she wasn't all for it. Every parent is different so it's their view on it.
Hope this helps, I'm a girl age 19 x

I am 26 years old and I am a female. People say and I read in a medical book that a girl shouldn't drink coffee or caffeine when she has her period. I was just wondering why sometimes I want coffee when I have my period I am a coffee lover and if I could have any bad health consequeces because of it.Or any suggestions what I should do. (link)
|
There is nothing wrong with drinking coffee on your period however coffee has caffeine in it and for some girls and women it can make cramps worse. It not true for everyone - every girl is different, some girls might not have bad cramps drinking coffee and some do. This still doesn't mean can't and you shouldn't drink coffee, I don't think that there are any bad consequences when drinking coffee on your period (apart from making cramps worse).
You can eat and drink what you like when on your period. If you want to drink coffee, then drink coffee. From my personal experience, when I had coffee on my period I got bad period pain. It's not that you "shouldn't" drink it, it's just fom what people have experienced.

do cold drinks lessen the flow of blood during periods?
(link)
|
Nope sorry but drinking cold drinks will not lessen the flow of blood during periods. There isn't really a natural way to lessen the flow of blood however there is birth control. The birth control pill can lighten periods and also help with period cramps.

How do I know that I'm hitting puberty (link)
|
You will know when you are hitting puberty when your body starts to change. Some of the main changes are:
*Your body grows taller.
*Your body grows broader (your hips, in particular, grow wider).
*Your breasts start to grow and you may have itchy, sensitive or sore breasts.
*Your body may swear more and you may develop body odour.
*Your hair and your skin may become more greasy and spots may develop.
*Hair starts to grow under your arms, on your legs and in the pubic area between your legs.
These changes are completely normal so don't worry. Puberty is a normal and healthy part of life - and it happens to everyone!

can i have pregnant if my boy puts his cum on my anus?
(link)
|
Generally, no you can not get pregnant from anal sex. However there could be a chance if the sperm get's from your anus to the vagina. This could happen of the guy doesn't wear a condom or if the sperm slides down into the vagina or after having anal sex he put's his penis in your vagina.
If any sperm, Pre-cum or Pre-ejaculation gets inside the vagina then yes it's possible for pregnancy to happen.

is it a myth that if men suck on your boobs, they grow? because my boyfriend does it multiple times a day and ive been in the same bra size. (link)
|
This is not true. Men or anyone sucking on your breasts does not make them grow bigger. You can't make your breasts grow naturally only weight gain, pregnancy or having surgery on your breasts can make them bigger.

im 12 a femal and i dont have my period. every day when i go to the bath room i see clear goo on my underwear that must have come from my vagina. some times i find it dry and see it turns a tiny bit yellow. im scared what is this stuff. does it mean im going to get my period? (link)
|
The clear goo is called vaginal discharge and it's The clear goo is called vaginal discharge and it's perfectly normal and it is a sign that your period is coming. The discharge is produced naturally from the neck of the womb, known as the cervix. Vaginal discharge is normal and it's just a way of your vagina cleaning it's self. Discharge increases when you are ovulating and when you are sexually aroused.
Discharge may be clear, creamy white, stringy, cloudy, and/or yellow when dried on clothing. You can get discharge that is brown, pinkish etc. Here is a site that tells you about the different types of discharge:
http://www.pamf.org/teen/health/femalehealth/discharge.html
And here is a site that tells you about vaginal infections:
http://www.girlshealth.gov/body/reproductive/infections.cfm
You can get vaginal infections even if you are not sexually active and you can get get it if you are. So it's good to know about these things. If the discharge bothers you then wear a pantyliner. Don't worry some girls have discharge everyday and some don't - every girl is different.

Hello peoples,
well i was just wondering what happens when a guy goes through puberty, like i know about girls (duh cause i'm a girl) like they bleed but what happens to a guy? Do they have to wear anything? Like I know girls have to wears pads and tampons, do boys have to wear anything!!! Please please please please tell me!!!thanks (link)
|
Guys don't have periods like girls do (they don't have a uterus or vagina) they have boy parts. Only girls have periods - not guys. This is because only females can become pregnant. Boys don't bleed like girls do but they do go through puberty. Some of the changes are the same as girls and some are different because they are male and us girls are female.
No guys don't wear pads or tampons because they don't bleed. Girls do because like I said girls have periods and periods are part of the female reproductive system.
Some of the main changes in boys are:
~The body grows taller.
~The body grows broader (the shoulders and chest, in paticular, grow bigger).
~The body may sweat more.
~Hair may become more greasy.
~Skin may become more greasy and spots may develop.
~Hair starts to grow under the arms, on the legs, in the pubic area around the base of the penis, on the face, and sometimes on the chest.
~The voice starts to get deeper (though it may be a bit squeaky to begin with).
~The penis and testicles become bigger, and sperm start to be produced.
Sperm are the male reproductive cells, in the same way that the eggs in a woman's ovary are the female reproductive cells. If these two cells meet inside a woman then a baby might be made. Guys also have things called wet dreams, ejaculation and erections.

Okay, this is a bit weird, but i thought i started my peirod in 6th grade, but it stayed for one day and left, then three years later (three months ago) i thought i had gotten it like forever because it stayed for three days, but it has not returned scence, i have gotten discharge for 4 years of my life, and i am confused, if someone could explain, it would help me alot!
Thank You! (link)
|
It's not uncommon for your very first period to last only for a day. When you first start to have periods, they may not be very regular. Your body will take time to settle into a regular cycle - this might take 2 years or more. Relax, this is normal.
You may find thy you skip a period or don't have another one for a long time after you have had your first period. You also may find that it on lasts a few days or it is longer. This is your period being irregular. Don't worry, like I said it can be like this for a long time and it's perfectly normal.

What should I have at school if I have my period (link)
|
I would make a period kit, it comes in handy if your period comes at school. You first have to get a small bag or a makeup bag to put the things in it (make sure it's not see through in case it falls out of your bag and make sure it can be buttoned or zipped up so if it does fall out, the things like pads or tampons etc won't spill onto the floor where your classmates can see). Things I would put in a period kit:
~Pads/Tampons - though I would start with pads first if you are starting your first period.
~Painkillers - they come in handy for when you get period cramps. Anti-inflammatory painkillers are good like Ibuprofen. Midol, Advil and Tylenol are good as well.
~Extra pair of panties - in case you leak.

Im a lire if u've seen that other question, im 11 (i felt embarrassed to say)My mum started her period between 12 and 13. I'm 12 and a couple of days, i started getting Milky discharge about a year ago. isn't that as long before you start your period? Ive hit puberty aswell, and started developing breasts. Quite allot of my friends have started and when people ask me i lie and say yes because im scared that they'll think im strange.- how long will i have to wait for it to start? And should i tell people the truth? Please help. (link)
|
It's not strange that you haven't got your period yet and it's up to you if you want to tell your friends the truth or not.
No one can tell you exactly when your period will starts because periods are a natural thing and it will come when your body is ready. Some girls get their period early and some girls get it later or when they are a bit older like at 15 or 16. Some girls have all the signs of starting but it doesn't start until months or years later and some girls start soon after they get the signs including vaginal discharge. Everyone is different.
Girls most likely will start at the age of when their mum started so you might get it between the ages of 12 and 13. Don't worry if you don't because this is not always true. It can be for some girls but their are other girls who don't get their period at the age of when their mum did and that's fine.
You are only 11 so don't worry hun, like I said it will come when your body is ready.

yes i had a question about my period mine last for about a week. And my cramps are relly bad what can i do for them? (link)
|
You can try the following, it helps for me (I get really bad period pain) and it can help for other people.
~Hot water bottle/Heat pad.
~Gentle exercise like walking or yoga.
~Taking a warm bath.
~Herbal remedies such as herbal tea. I have Chamomile and Peppermint here at home. You can find it at your local supermarket or health store. Other herbal teas that are supposed to be good for menstrual cramps are Ginger, Peppermint and Raspberry tea leaf.
Food to avoid while on your period:
I would avoid salty food (increases bloating), sugary sweet food, caffeinated foods or beverages, dairy and junk food. Stay hydrated and eat plenty of fibre.

Is it weird for my school to search their students and have drug sniffing dogs?
Sometimes at my school we have to randomly get searched or go through metal detectors. Or sometimes they bring dogs in the school to search for drugs. And if the metal detector goes of because maybe you have metal on your pants or jacket or bra an adult has to search you and they get too close and touchy. I don't even do drugs or get in trouble. Do you think that's weird or wrong? Is my school the only school that does this? (link)
|
No it's no weird, some schools do drug searches. Drugs is a growing problem with school kids who can get their hands on the stuff. Sniffer dogs are specially trained to sniff out drugs and if the school has allowed them to be there then it's fine. The metal detectors are probably there for detecting any kind of weapon (like a knife - the blade is metal).
You may not do drugs but other students might, (you don't know for sure but thg might be the case) and if your principle is aware of a problem like drugs then he/she might have searches done.
You probably not the only school that does drug searches and do I find it wrong? Personallly no, it might be a waste of time for the people who don't do drugs but it cracks down on people who do drugs.

How can i tell when i am going to have my period? (link)
|
Every girl is different and every girl has different signs that mean your period is going to come (some girls have no signs at all).
Here are some common signs:
~Cramps.
~Vaginal discharge.
~Food cravings.
~Feeling like you need to go to the toilet more.
~Back pain.
~Feeling bloated.
~Breast tenderness.
~Feeling moody or irritable.
Periods can start at any time between the ages of about 10 and 16.
|
Well i have my period and i dont want it to leak during school. What Should I Do (link)
|
I would wear a more absorbent pad to stop it leaking at school. There are a whole range of different brands and types of pads. On the packet it, it tells you the absorbency so you might want to get one with a higher obsorbency so it absorbs most of the period blood. You can get thicker pads as well and you get longer ones so it covers more area than just a normal pad. You can all so get different types of tampons lite, super etc (if you wear tampons).
Take some extra pads with you in a makeup bag or something and you might also want to put 1 extra knickers in case it does leak and you have a spare.

ok so im 14 year old girl and i have had my period for 3 years..and i have a really heavy period and...afterwords i get this feeling like i peed my pants but its like cloudy i call it crotch snot..its discusting and has an akward smell..what is this a sign of? reminding you tht im still a vergin. (link)
|
It sounds like vaginal discharge. Don't worry all girls get this.
Normal discharge may be clear, stringy, cloudy white, and/or yellowish when dry on clothing.
Not normal discharge - may mean that you have an infection:
~Thick cottage cheese like/clumps - some symptoms with it might be itching, swelling, foul odour.
~Grey/yellow discharge with a "fishy" smell
Discharge can smell and it's normal if you have a musky like scent. What's not normal is a foul odour - like a strong unpleasant smell or a fishy smell. If you have that along with itching or 'down there' then you might have an infection and you should go and see a doctor.
|
I havent started yet, im late but now i have brown thick stuff in my panties and when i whipe (link)
|
That "brown thick stuff" is probably just old blood. It's normal to get brown blood or discharge when you are going to start your first period. I suggest wearing a pantyliner or pad so it doesn't get on your knickers.
