The discharge is produced naturally from the neck of the womb, known as the cervix. Vaginal discharge is normal and it's just a way of your vagina cleaning it's self. Discharge increases when you are ovulating and when you are sexually aroused.
Discharge may be clear, creamy white, stringy, cloudy, and/or yellow when dried on clothing. You can get discharge that is brown, pinkish etc. Here is a site that tells you about the different types of discharge:
You can get vaginal infections even if you are not sexually active and you can get get it if you are. So it's good to know about these things. If the discharge bothers you then wear a pantyliner. It can even be a yeast infection and women can get them from wearing tight jeans and other little simple things. Even antibiotics can cause this. I would give it a little time and unless you develop other symptoms such as itching and/or burning I wouldn't worry. [ Carolsuz's advice column | Ask Carolsuz A Question ]

It might mean your period is approaching; the only time you have to worry is if the discharge turns a strange color, like green. [ fireautumn's advice column | Ask fireautumn A Question ]
